I have the Instagram feed embedded on my page. On desktop devices there is no problem, everything is displayed correctly.

]]>Hi there, I’ve updated to the latest version of instagram 6.6.0 and attempted to connect to Business Basic. However, after authentication and returned back to my website, it doesn’t seem to have “save” the source info. I’ve repeatedly connecting to instagram but still getting the same result.
Here’s a screenshot of my connection screen – it noticed in the red “Does not display Hashtag or Mentions feeds” – what does this mean? Would this be the reason why it is not connecting?

]]>We’ve used your plugin on several sites, and we love it. However, our business clients are requiring WCAG accessibility testing, and we are seeing issues:
(1). Links open in a “_blank” window; there is no option to open in the same window.
(2). Alt text exceeds recommended WCAG length limits
(3). Outline is not being displayed when the link has focus.
Is there a way to get around these issues?

If I’m connected with “Personal”, do I need to change to “Business” connection?
“Business” connection requires logging in with Facebook, but if I don’t have a Facebook page, will I no longer be able to use it in the future?
It seems that “Instagram API with Instagram Login” can be used without Facebook, so will Smash Balloon not provide “Instagram API with Instagram Login”?

Despite configuring the backend settings for caching and GDPR, the plugin isn’t functioning as expected. The cache is set to clear every 30 minutes, but I have to manually clear it each time. The automatic clearing feature does not seem to be working.

I have 3 instagram accounts and I wish to setup Instagram feeds from 3 accounts on a single website. Is it possible?
]]>It seems that my instagram feed is not correctly updated. The feed only shows the state of the last refresh when I was in the admin panel of the plugin and actually clicked on the feed and saved it again.
The feed in the admin panel shows the latest posts, but the ones in the frontend stay the same.
Other than that the instagram profile is a business account, it shows that the shortcode is used at 1 page and the plugin displays no errors whatsoever.
It used to work correctly in the past without any issues.

As you can see from the link I provided, which is related to the staging copy of a site currently online, I have an issue with the display of the Instagram feed. Since I use your plugin on other sites as well, I have seen that the HTML structure of the feed that is not displaying correctly is different from the HTML structure of the feed that displays correctly on the another site I manage (example: https://nika.it/). The plugin and settings are the same, yet it’s not working properly. Additionally, from the checks I’ve done, there don’t appear to be any CSS rules overriding those set by the plugin. Could you help me identify the problem?

Hi there!
I’m using the plugin on a multisite network. On the main site we added a source (Instagram), and configured a feed with no problems.
When we tried to do the same on the other network websites, once we complete the “Add source” procedure the source doesn’t get saved, and it doesn’t appear in the settings page.
We tried to export and import the feed ma an error appears.
What could be the problem?

There is a temporary bug in the Instagram API when trying to connect new Instagram accounts using the “Personal” (Basic Display) API, which is affecting all plugins and apps. I’m getting an error stating: Connected account for the user does not have permission to use this feed type. I haven’t been able to confirm what access level the client’s Facebook account has yet but maybe that’s the issue?
I’ve tried reconnecting the client’s Business account but I run into another error when trying to reconnect.

I’ve checked and the Smash Balloon app is enabled and active on both Facebook and Instagram. The Instagram account is also connected to Facebook so not sure why this error would occur?
]]>We want to set up oEmbeds, but the client doesn’t have a facebook account, they literally just have a Instagram account and we only want to connect instagram oEmbeds, how do we do this, when we try to auth it defaults to facebook log in… which they do not have. We have access to meta business account from Instagram…

]]>I updated the plugin to the latest version, and now the Instagram thumbnails are shown in a tiny format.
Before this update, they were shown in 3 columns (which has now changed to 4), and would use all of the width of their column.
Is this a bug?
(I mean: I can fix it by overriding the CSS, but an actual fix seems a better idea)
An at least partial source ofr the problem seems to be that each the .sbi_item class is set to use 33% of its width, which explains why the images are now so small.

I’m having an issue with the Instagram Feed where the Follow on Instagram button not displaying properly. I’ve set a custom color using the color scheme, but when I hover over the button, it will either display the default hover colors, or disappear, depending on the browser. I would like to set the color, then have it subtly highlight the way the Load More button does. What am I doing wrong?
