There have been lots of commercial imitations, but this is still be best and most dependable Google sheet viewer available …. even without support!
Hopefully, Meitar, will imagine some improvements and update it someday!
By far, this is one of the BEST plugins for WordPress!

Thanks for developing this.

This plugin loads FIFTEEEN external files (js/css) on EVERY PAGE OF YOUR SITE, in addition to it’s own js files. This is totally unnecessary and a fundamental flaw in the design. It should only load these files on the pages that require it.

it shows a google login page on the frontend

Even as a neophyte Google Sheets user I found this plugin straightforward and easy to use. Wonderful for sharing data to WordPress.

I have been using it for about 9 months. I do not understand those who write negative comments here. Solution suggestions for many problems are presented here. all I tried works well.
Thank you very much for your efforts.

had some problems setting this up but overall great plugin!

So complete it could be too much complete sometimes! haha
Very amazing job, thank you dev!

Originally this plugin does a great job (ok, the handling can be a bit difficult) and is completely free. Unfortunately the chart-functions seem to be not working anymore. Even if the problem seems to be an update that google did in the beginning of may, all the chart functions are somehow gone at the moment. I hope there will be a solution soon! If so, I will definitely donate something for this great plugin!

Thank you so much for designing this plugin. It is exactly what I looking for!!!!
EASY TO LOAD DATA FROM GOOGLE SPREADSHEET! AND IT IS FASTER THAN I EXPECTED!
]]>Rating: 1 star
This is just too difficult to get working. The format of even the most simplistic spreadsheet is not replicated by the shortcode. There are little green plus symbols added, columns cut off and formatting lost. Reading through the support forum, the developer comes across as arrogant and unhelpful. The reason people use plugins is that they are not able to code themselves, but the developer is just rude towards people asking basic questions, often just providing links to other support topics These are often just as unfathomable as this plugin is to get to do basic stuff – Like display a spreadsheet how it looks in Google. You are better off making a jpg of the sheet and embedding it on your page/post than wrestling with this plugin.

It’s a great idea and it works to a degree, but it seriously needs to only load itself on pages where a google docs spreadsheet exists; it loads a large amount of (remote!) resources. It currently results in a major speed impact across the whole site which I just can’t work with.
It would also be better for performance and content security policy if the files were loaded from the local domain instead of trying to download datatables/etc styles from remote servers.

The plugin is great and author deserve a donation.
I use it to present huge load of data in website and charts based on it.
However the plugin loads many CSS / Javascript files on pages that don’t include gdoc shortcode.

It’s amazing how simple yet powerful this plugin is. The settings page is not bloated with tabs and forms, and the default table for spreadsheets is perfectly functional, attractive, readable, yet fully customizable. Pagination is instantaneous, the filters are intuitive and responsive. The ability to auto-update the table when the spreadsheet changes was something I found lacking in other plugins I’ve tried.
This plugin does what it says perfectly. Well done.

Worked out great. Lots of possibilities. An easy way to get your tables, into your website style. I used it for integration of google spreadsheets. Thank you.

Extremely easy to get going. Super useful for our client(s) to edit big spreadsheets themselves and have the changes show on the site.
Nice work!

I’ve been using this for basic ‘stick this spreadsheet in there and don’t touch it’ stuff for a while and was very happy. Now finally learning functionality via datatables and Google Query languages and I am even more surprised that this plugin is free. It’s VERY customisable. Many thanks. Next step: charts.
]]>Rating: 3 stars
I cant find an example to make a chart using the queries. How do we do this? i wanna make a chart of the pivot tables calculated automatically, without making a different spreadsheet or excel file or even a different table, is it possible?

Once you figure it out, this a fantastic plugin. Very powerful, very flexible. I’ll be using this frequently in future.

This plugin is realy great! I must lose my weight and I use it for many datas from my scale and my weight… I only must put my data into a google table and this plugin build a table and a graphicle sheet at my wordpress…
After 1-2 days this plugin is very easy to use!
!!! THANKS !!!
Great plugin! ??

I can only encourage people to read kadoogan’s review. I agree with everything they said. It only took a good read through the very well laid out documentation to get a handle on this, and I’ve been able to create charts with much less fuss and more flexibility than any of the others I’ve looked at over the last day or so. All I have to do is edit a shortcode, rather than mess around with mountains of tables in the (mostly premium) plugin settings.

I have given this plugin a 5 star review, because it works well if you bother to read the documentation and are willing to learn something new.
I have seen a few one star reviews for this plugin, and I can say with confidence that they are not typical results for anyone doing things correctly, in addition to reading the documentation thoroughly.
Also, some unfairly rated the plugin low without contacting the developer to get help. This is patently unfair, and a slap in the face to any developer that provides a free plugin, especially one that works as well as this one.
Inexperienced users may find it more complex than other plugins generally, but I was able to use it just fine after I went through the documentation and implemented what I learned.
This developer has supplied the WordPress community with a unique plugin that allowed me to create an informative demonstration of a dashboard for investors in a new company, that can be updated easily, quickly, and with real time results online. Although it is in demo stages, I am confident that I can take it right to final release.
I am not a programmer, but rather a graphic designer that has taken the time to learn whatever aspects of WordPress I need to know to create a good site for my clients. I did find the plugin a little challenging to start with, but the documentation carried me through.
I would urge anyone looking for a way to present Google Sheets data online to use this plugin, and to send the developer some money for his efforts, which I will certainly do once my project is approved.
The only thing I can suggest to the developer is maybe to figure out a way to change the visual aspects of the resulting charts and tables in a more user friendly manner. Although the documentation covers it all nicely, it might make things faster to implement overall. Even just basic features such as adding alternating row coloring to tables, or adjusting width and height of the presented charts and tables – stuff like that. I understand that there might be too much in the way of options to encompass everything, but even just a few conveniences might be worth looking at.
But that is only a suggestion. This plugin can work fine without any of that. Obviously I HIGHLY recommend this plugin.

UPDATED REVIEW from 2 stars to 4 — I originally had failures when trying to paste the full share URL of a Google Sheet into a WordPress page.
I also had been using the gdoc shortcode, but was using the entire URL because it was not clear that I should only be using the last part of the URL (the random letters and numbers. Documentation wasn’t too clear about that, but I realized it after finding a blog post about this plugin on a third-party plugin review website.
Now my only problem is that my sheet is displaying wildly differently than it looks in Google Sheets… but at least now that I am this far, I know it’s just a matter of playing with the options in the shortcode to get it where I want it. Upgrading this review to 5 stars will depend on the difficulty of this final step.

Plugin successfully shows it can import things from Google Docs. I was trying to have it show 2 sheets on a specific page of my website.
Plugin successfully allowed the Google Drive favicon to replace my own.
Plugin successfully allowed Google’s CSS to mess-up my own (top-nav menu font enlarged so it takes up 2 rows instead of one, background image gone).
Although the URL for my sheet works in a separate, standalone browser window (in private mode, not logged in to Google), it would not appear on WordPress. It would instead display a Google error message stating the URL was not valid or the file did not exist. I tried both pasting in the URL by itself, and by using the shortcode.
Plugin deleted, as I continue my search for another way to accomplish my goal.
