Hi!
I don’t know if it’s about IndieWeb plugin this issue but I’m sure you can help me to know where is the problem.
I’ve set everything and I have replied to a mastodon post. See here: https://comunicacionabierta.net/2024/04/sobre-el-tema-de-ska/
Why my answer doesn’t appear on Mastodon? Isn’t supposed to do so?
If not I can’t imagine how could I continue the dialogue over there.
Thanks!!!
Hi,
Been playing with the various IndieWeb and syndication features for WordPress today.
I see there are options for 3 legacy widgets, that are not supported in the Twenty Twenty-Three theme anymore:
Will they be converted to blocks?
Thx!
Sincerely
DJM
I have started a microblog based on IndieWeb on the page:
I have installed the following plugins in WordPress:
– IndieWeb
– ActivityPub
– IndieAuth
– Classic Editor
– Microformat 2
– Micropub
– Post Kinds
– Semantic Linkbacks
– Simple location
– Syndication links
– Webfinger
– Webmention
– WebSub
I have installed the theme SemPress.
In the ActivityPub plugin I have set the following custom Post Content:

%title%

%content%

But when I create a new post using Indigenous as a note on this post:
https://micro.ansico.dk/2022/11/30/10173/
It is showed in Mastodon only with a link, not with the content? It works when I post as an article. How do I make sure that the content of the notes is also showed in the Fediverse?
Hello,
I am looking at a video that shows this plugin included Brid.gy for WordPress. And also on the Brid.gy website it says “If you’re on WordPress, try the IndieWeb bundle plugin.” Is this still in this plugin or maybe available separately? I searched and am not seeing anything.
Thank you!
Hello,
Will this plugin and all of the extension support Gutenberg in the future?
Thank you!
Hi all,
Not yet an IndieWeb user, but would love to get into it after browsing many sites for the past year.
I currently run https://www.hammyhavoc.com, but I’m wondering if I should change the canonical domain to https://hammyhavoc.com.
What would you recommend? Are there any notable pros/cons within the IndieWeb ecosystem like IndieAuth? What happens if I start on www, and later wish to switch to the TLD?
Sorry to inundate with questions, just super curious. This is what’s been putting me off starting this past year.
I’m new to using this and not sure which component is causing the issue- Webmentions? Whatever is hooking into the comment moderation email notification looks like it is removing a new line character after the end of the Permalink URL and before the “Approve it” label so both links are now broken.

Also, the excerpts for my regular WordPress trackbacks and comments comes in empty in email notification

I still have some questions about the environmental impact of decentralized architectures given the redundancies inherent in distributing updates across platforms, servers, and accounts for menial tasks such as liking a post, but I am also looking at how to create a system that minimizes these negative externalities while offering users the opportunity to really own their data (while also seeking to provide a means for them to control their data without requiring a decentralized architecture).
One way that I thought to do that was to create an indieweb integration with the BuddyBoss Platform plugin that maximizes a POSSE configuration with the user profiles (and community blog posts). The FeedWordpress plugin seems very limited and would not integrate with BuddyBoss out of the box. Ideally, a POSSE integration would allow sites to post updates on their BuddyBoss-based timeline AND provide an RSS feed of timeline updates back to their sites.
Is something like this possible with the indieweb plugin, even if it requires an extension to make it possible?
Hi there
I opened my site this morning and discovered that I had a 500 Internal Server error. I checked my site’s logs and discovered that the issue appeared to be with the IndieWeb plugin.
Here’s the PHP message:
PHP Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Call to undefined method HCard_User::get_me_list() in /pljcbsn/wp-content/plugins/indieweb/includes/class-hcard-user.php:402 Stack trace: #0 /pljcbsn/wp-content/plugins/indieweb/includes/class-relme-widget.php(53): HCard_User::rel_me_list(1, true) #1 /wordpress/core/4.9.8/wp-includes/class-wp-widget.php(372): RelMe_Widget->widget(Array, Array) #2 /wordpress/core/4.9.8/wp-includes/widgets.php(743): WP_Widget->display_callback(Array, Array) #3 /pljcbsn/wp-content/themes/independent-publisher-2-wpcom/footer.php(20): dynamic_sidebar('sidebar-2') #4 /wordpress/core/4.9.8/wp-includes/template.php(688): require_once('/pljcbsn/wp-con...') #5 /wordpress/core/4.9.8/wp-includes/template.php(647): load_template('/pljcbsn/wp-con...', true) #6 /wordpress/core/4.9.8/wp-includes/general-template.php(76): locate_template(Array, true) #7 /pljcbsn/wp-content/themes/independent-publisher-2-wpcom/index.php(54): get_footer() #8 /wordpress/core/4.9.8/wp-includes/template-loader.php
It looks like my site updated to version 3.3.12 on 3 December. My site was working fine with the Indieweb plugin before then.
I get the following message on every administrator page after upgrading to 3.3.4:

I updated the plugin today and the site ‘disappeared’ I could not load the blog or dashboard. renaming the indieweb.php file to indieweb.php– via ftp disables the plugin and fixes the site. Renaming back to indieweb.php and activating the plugin breaks the site again.
Cheers
John
I have a site with 20+ editors / admin users.
Do they all need to add the main Facebook, twitter & google plus links or just one admin user?
Heya –
installed this & all the required plugins plus suggested but no rel=me ?
Using wordpress, installed the plugins but erm what’s next?
When activating IndieWeb plugin as [1] Network Activated; or [2] Main Blog activated; the main blog/URL of the multisite stops loading (just Error 500). But it works in all other blogs in the multisite setup.
It’s good and all, only catch is, my main author profile is in the main blog.
Anything you need for me to do that may help in debugging?
Thank you.
I installed three of the plugins, and they disappeared from the Install Required Plugins admin page. The list says “All (7) | To Install (7)”, and each plugin show Version: [blank] and Status: Not Installed.
It seems that the installed plugins should appear with their Status. And that Version should contain information.
The other, very important, thing missing is any explanation of the plugins’ function, to help determine whether and why I should install any of them.
Thanks.
I have installed this, but no rel=me can be found in my site’s source, nor using the tools at IndieWebify.me. I tried installing the two required plugins, and then IndieAuth plugin, but still nada. (I have made sure to fill in some of the user contact fields with silo usernames.)
I did get links when I added the Rel=Me widget to a menu, but it didn’t respect the “Hidden Rel-Me Links” option. I can’t tell if this widget gives the core rel=me functionality and the option is broken, or if this is a secondary functionality and the main one doesn’t work at all.
I have pored over all of the documentation within the plugin and on the wiki, and I cannot determine what actions are actually supposed to make rel=me show up. Frustrated.
It might be helpful to add at least a few sentences of description to the plugin description page – there is only one sentence that has zero information about what this plugin is about, what it will do with my wordpress blog and what not.
This is probably the third time I try to get full h-card validation through various tweaks.
https://indiewebify.me/validate-h-card/?url=melkeramik.com. I’ve installed the whole batch of plugins and my home page melkeramik.com has a sidebar widget with various rel=”me”
links.
I’m stuck at this error: Add a u-url property which matches a rel=me link on the same page so this h-card can be identified as the h-card which represents the page.
The guide at https://techlifeweb.com/using-wordpress-for-indieweb/ seems to be the most comprehensive but the type of error I get isn’t mentioned there.
Please help.
My PHP is currently set to 5.5, the minimum is supposed to be 5.3. Isn’t 5.5 higher than 5.3?
It looks like it’s still possibly a beta version, but please consider including the Micropub plugin into the IndieWeb plugin. (see also: https://indiewebcamp.com/Getting_Started_on_WordPress)
I installed the indieweb plugin on mexico.flowfx.de and, without any edits to the theme, successfully reel in Facebook and Twitter likes and comments via bridgy. I’ve had Tweets displayed correctly. But how do I display the Likes and Favs? What do I have to put into the theme template? I couldn’t find any documentation about this.
