This plugin does not work, reason being is it creates php.ini file in the root.
To get around the issue create a php.ini file inside the wp-admin directory, upload with ftp, example in file….
post_max_size = 64M
upload_max_filesize = 64M
Don’t work with last wp version
]]>Hello!
I have installed and used the plugin and it seems to have updated the php.ini file, but I still have the same limits on my uploads and post sizes.
I am using an Amazon ec2 instance as my server, so I have the ability to make almost any change needed to make this work.
Please let me know what I can do to fix this.
Thanks for your help!

I do not have any settings under Tools that are mentioned in other post here, and I don’t have a plugin called Increase Upload Max Filesize that I could uninstall either.
Please help.

]]>dear author of this plugin, I have a site with the hosting services of “Arvixe.com” my site is mkhan6131.com
I installed your plugin, it says default size was 1024MBs and after running the plugin increased to same 1024MBs.
Actually i installed this plugin because I heard somewhere that to add more pages to your menu, if it gets deleted. You can’t add more pages, just edit the values in php.ini file. Ask your host or do it yourself. So, i just wanted to do that. The person said to increase the input value to be 3000, and said that the default is 1000. So, I’ll be able to add more pages to my site’s menu without having them deleted again and again.
Can you help?

.cshrc
No php files to edit so I assume the issue is with WordPress but they are even less helpful

I’ve used the Increase Upload Max Filesize plugin, but it has been ineffective.
NOTE: The plugin SAYS it worked (see screenshot here), but my site STILL only allows 1MB uploads (see screenshot here).
I’ve ALSO tried to resolve this problem by
1) Changing the PHP settings in the Parallels Plesk panel (see screenshot here).
2) Adding code to the .htaccess file
php_value upload_max_filesize 64M
php_value post_max_size 96M

]]>Hi,
This was working fine before. But I started to get an ‘http error’ message in the uploader screen. It shows the file has uploaded 100%, but it never goes to that next step where it says ‘Crunching….”. It will for small files, but not for the files I have that are about 20MB. In Tools, I can see it says I have 100MB to work with (just as before). So I updated the plugin to the latest, (also have had the latest install of WP).
But the problem persists. I deactivated it and then activated it. I ran it from the blue button in tools. It shows that I have have 100MB to play with, but still, I get ‘http error’ in the message bar about the uploader box.
Do I need to go into my .ini and clean it out, start from scratch and then run the plugin again? Thanks for your help, Sir.

php_value post_max_size “33M”
php_value upload_max_filesize “32M”
to my site’s .htaccess

Whatever I do the post max file size just doesn’t change.. it says that I have 3M.. I need to upload a pdf which is just over 5mb..
I also added a definition to my wp-config.php file increasing that to 64mb as well.
Any thoughts?

]]>It would be great if this plugin handled time issues as well:
# BEGIN Increase Max Upload Size
php_value upload_max_filesize 200M
php_value post_max_size 200M
php_value max_execution_time 1000
php_value max_input_time 1000
# END Increase Max Upload Size
Sometimes editing the htaccess file doesn’t work and takes out the site, so editing the php.ini file is the only way, which is what your plugin changes.
Is there another plugin that changes the php.ini file for these things in the meantime?
