It messes up sensitive data like publication dates or categories; doesn’t actually do anything with external media except creating blank database posts… The only upside is that it supports ACF.

Editing since i have tried different approach with it, for some reason the images downloads just fine on another hosting(same config) and dates needs to have proper format.
It still pretty much can’t synchronize categories but i can live with that.

It lets you map fields and the import went well.
It would be even more helpful if it allowed us to also map attributes, in case images are stored in the RSS feed as an attribute.
Thanks for your work!

I wanted to convert an RSS feed into posts. This plugin lets you precisely map how you want meta data imported and even integrates with Advanced Custom Fields.

Plugin is hidden under gerneral settings.

It was exactly what I was looking for. Perfect for import from Wix to wordpress. Highly recommended.

After searching for and trying (without success) different ways to import posts from an old Wix website blog, this plugin finally saved me from pulling out my hair. The process was smooth, easy to follow, and worked exactly as I had hoped. I was able to import all Wix blog posts into my new WP site as posts, easily select which elements from the Wix blog corresponded to the WP blog elements (title, content, date, etc).
NOTE: This did not pull in the media (photos/graphics), but that has to do with Wix being protective of anything that might have been uploaded to their site builder. So I’ll still have to go back, save those images from Wix, then upload to the new WP site. But at least I didn’t have to retype everything from scratch.

I was advised your plugin to import the flow but it does not work.
I want to import all the events of an affiliate.
But the plugin does not work unless you need the paid version but I’d like to see if it works.

If it can’t import simple RSS feeds without the rss or xml file extension the plugin is worthless.
Tried to import from the US Gov website at CBP, doesn’t work. In fact, most if not all of my feeds failed. The plugin needs work… wasted too much time and NO WAY would I even consider a premium upgrade if it won’t work on basic imports. ALL of my feeds work in TinyTiny rss but not in this plugin.

This is the most frustrating app I’ve used in my life.. Import a feed and then nothing happens. Seriously I feel like throwing my laptop against the wall and sending you the bill for a new one.

very smart interface, but it doesn’t output all custom fields, therefore cannot be used for complex custom-post-types

Excellent solution for importing content from other sources than WordPress.
Mapping XML nodes to the standard post/page fields of WP works nicely.

Not the best UI but it does the job, thanks!

Seems to do the clever stuff of dragging the xml into the plugin and then it leaves you to it.
No memory of xml feed so you have to start over if you want to change something
No clear information of where the data from the xml has been dumped
I think i found some nodes in a template iam using but they had no images or prices on them – no error saying why they hadnt been included
I created a separate blog category hoping i could dump the xml into a new section… the drop down menu in the app only displays
blog
something
property
office
i cant find these titles on my home dashboard so have no clue what they referencing.
Documentation very basic so cant work it out without help.
am i missing something because i hate beating down any hard work put in by a dev team to create a free plugin. ? thanks

Checking file and wait 1 minute then nothing more happened with it

Works even better than what I expected from a free plugin. Imported some blog posts from an XML file without any issues. UI is polished and intuitive.

Nach dem bet?tigen von Check-Data l?d das Plugin kurz mit einer Animation und anschlie?end erscheint nur ein Error, dass tab5 nicht gefunden wird.
Leider unbrauchbar.

We have added some additional post types, which it can see, but the import preview page can’t see the custom fields on these post types which would be useful

I’m using the latest and greatest (at least as of today) version of WordPress; and I’m here to tell you, THIS WORKS!
I had a Penzu journal that I was just getting frustrated with. I went to the classic format of it (top right dropdown; the “new” version of it doesn’t have an exporter–??) did a select all posts, exported to xml, then sucked the file into this import tool. I followed the instructions on the plugin’s popup window (like when you’re in the plugin store), answered the questions, and BOOM it started sucking in all the posts.
I am very, very impressed. It’s pretty, and it’s simple, and it WORKS. Thanks, peeps!!

This is a great import plugin and does the matching of the fields which is actually missing from a lot of similar plugins.
Just works!
