Hello there!
I am having issues with your plugin on one of my websites. I am running it successfully on other websites. I am pretty certain it has something to do with the facebook user/app.
Anyhow when i import events from facebook (single or per ics file) the picture of the events won’t be imported. Everything set up just like on my other websites.
What could this be?
]]>We used this for years (Facebook Import by Event ID), but now it keeps giving the error for all events. We reauthorized the app, mark the events as interested but not working. Did something change?:
We are not able to access Facebook event: 315879294418291. Possible reasons: – App Credentials are wrong – Facebook event is not public or some restrictions are there like age, country etc.

]]>Something weird has happened on our client’s website that we haven’t been able to fix. On the page, the shortcode that used to work shows up but isn’t executed.
Also, in the backend, the “Facebook Events” tab is missing, only the “Facebook Import” tab shows up.
Everything is on the latest version.
]]>Hi,
is it possible to display the date im German format. I.e. 28. Dezmber instead of Dezember 20.
And also display the year in format j. F Y? Like 28. Dezember 2023
I also noticed, that the event time shows the imported UTC time, and is not set according to the timezone in WordPress.
I used iCal import due to the issues with the Facebook API.
Many thanks!
Best regards,
Rudi
The Facebook page event scheduled synchron functionality stopped working on all of our sites that uses your plugin. We need to know when this function will be available again, because our clients argueing about this with us.

Is there a way to display a list of events and have the list items ling to their corresponding event?
– Event 1
– Event 2
– Event 3

Hey all,
Is there a way to disable comments on the events? I have comments disabled on my WP site thinking it was a WP global setting.
]]>Hello,
first of all, good plugin. We think about purchacing the full plugin, but before i wanted to test it a bit with manual event import for a few weeks, but we want to scedule it in long term. I already adjusted some thinks in the PHP files, bit i need your help with some orther belongings:
1. There is no big title for the event on the event page, is it possible to display the one from Facebook? It lookes like it on preview images of the plugin, so I think there could be a problem on my side.
2. Also there is no picture at the event page from the event. In the event overview site are pictures of the events.
3. Can I rearrange the order of the information in the event page? I would like to have the title of the event, than the picture, than the text of the event before details and the location. Also this is on purpose that there is no google maps, I didn’t want one.
If you need more information please don’t hesitate to ask back.
Greetings

On my website I use the plugin Import Facebook Eevents, but since several weeks there is a message [Currently, Facebook events are not being imported using the “My Events” option due to the changes in the Facebook API. We are still checking and working on it. meanwhile, you can import Facebook events using the Event iCal URL.
You can also schedule auto import on regular basis in Pro version.]
Please let me know when this problem will be fixed, as I cannot import the newest version of my event on FB.
Thanks is advance.
]]>Hello,
I am very interested in your plugin, but I need to know if it is possible to import events from a public group ?
Can I create a facebook application (API) to access these events (as it is a public group) or do I need to contact the group administrator to request access ?
Thank you for your feedback
]]>I created the app with correct credentials and as explained in the documentation, authorized it with no issues but I tried to import a few events using Event ID and getting this error:
We are not able to access Facebook event: 1326775854472679. Possible reasons: – App Credentials are wrong – Facebook event is not public or some restrictions are there like age, country etc.
Hello, guys,
Planning to buy the Pro version.
Just created a demo and I get the following error.
When importing and event by id -> We are not able to access Facebook event: 1347175349039778. Possible reasons: – App Credentials are wrong – Facebook event is not public or some restrictions are there like age, country etc.
When importing events from a page -> (#10) This endpoint requires the ‘pages_read_engagement’ permission or the ‘Page Public Content Access’ feature. Refer to https://developers.facebook.com/docs/apps/review/login-permissions#manage-pages and https://developers.facebook.com/docs/apps/review/feature#reference-PAGES_ACCESS for details.
Also tried on my own on the free version.
Any ideas? Thank you!
]]>Support was very responsive to the FB issue and helped me get back in business!
I use the plugin with All in One Events Calendar and love the way it populates the ‘Liked’ events. I recently submitted a Support request and the issue was promptly addressed and resolved! Thank you – Thank You – Thank You!
Is there any way to hide the “no events are found” message when there is no events for the moment?

]]>Hi Developer Team,
The plugin stopped importing Facebook events last week, with the Error- “Possible reasons: – App Credentials are wrong – Facebook event is not public or some restrictions are there like age, country etc“. But the event is public and there is no restrictions at all.
We have tested using the Facebook graph to get event details using {{event_id}} and it’s working with the same app.
After switching the app to live mode, there is multiple scope error in authorizing for the app out of which “user_events” is deprecated a long ago. But plugin requires this scope.
Created a new app on Facebook (development mode) to get the events but it also failed.
Same error as mentioned above.
Now we are unable to update the app details in the plugin setting, and the previous app is not importing the events for us.
Error: “Something went wrong! please try again.”
Please help we need to update the app detail & import events.
Thanks.
I entered the id number from an FB event URL into the Facebook Event IDs: box and clicked import but it doesn’t add the event to the facebook imports. Before, everything worked, and has stopped for a while.
]]>Hi,
I have some trouble with the plugin since they make some modifications with the facebook app.
I’ve this message : “Invalid Scopes: user_events. This message is only shown to developers. Users of your app will ignore these permissions if present. Please read the documentation for valid permissions at: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/facebook-login/permissions” when I try to authorize facebook on your plugin.
I found your response in another topic. You said to pass in developer mode but it doesn’t exist anymore.
When I go on “https://developers.facebook.com/docs/facebook-login/permissions”, “user_events” doesn’t exist.
Can you help me?
Thanks,
Tom.
Hello Xylus,
When I import the events from Meetup into WP it doesn’t bring in the event category, So none of the event show when I use the shortcode:
[meetup_events category=”cat1″]
Is there a way around this?
Thanks
]]>Google is reporting multiple errors with imported events, citing that the “location” property is not filled in.
Is there anything you can do to correct this so my site’s events are better indexed by Google?
Can I override the template file for single event posts?
I know I can make some changes via CSS but I’d like to edit the structure a little.
Many events on Facebook don’t have all the information that this plugin is designed to display, which leaves the Event meta table taking up the whole width but for just one column.
I’d like to move the meta details into a sidebar with the Title, image, description and map in the main section.
Currently looks like this – https://snipboard.io/BzJGdL.jpg
I tried copying the template file into my theme folder, but it didn’t work? ie
https://website.example/wp-content/themes/astra-theme-child/import-facebook-events/templates/ife-event-meta.php
How do you override it? BTW I’m using a child theme for Astra
Thanks in advance!

]]>Hi,
does the plugin write any update for the event FROM WordPress TO Facebook ?
It could be incredibly useful to handle all the events inside wordpress backend and update/export them also to Facebook automatically.
Could it be possible?
Thanks

]]>My site has certain content contributors with the AuthorPlus role, which has capabilities assigned/customized using the popular User Role Editor.
I cannot seem to find capabilities for the Import Social Events plugin.
I was hoping to grant my AuthorPlus roles the ability to import FB events.
Are the capabilities present within the plugin already or does this amount to a feature request?
We have the free version installed for testing and the Facebook events that I manually entered via their IDs are showing – however, the entire image is not being shown – they are being cut off – even though it is obvious that the image is fully there… How do I fix this?
Also, with the free version – if we update an event – we find that the event picture being used on our website, is the old one – and not the new one.
Additionally, we do have ticket links in all of the events – as we host our own ticketing website – and these links are not being shown – either on the front page – or on the posting page for the event.
All of these questions may go away once we buy the full version of the plugin but it would be nice to know if they can be fixed to work with the free version or require the pro version.
]]>Hi, we would like a way to simply import and auto populate events on a section of our website, specifically all websites in Ho Chi Minh City. Is there any way to do this using this plugin or any other? I think it would be far too complicated to have to create every single event manually, it’s nothing something our team has the capacity to do.
