Hi,
I needed this plugin but unfortunately it doesn’t work in newer WP versions, because of the introduction of the srcset
attribute. Besides this there are some notifications when de-bugging is turned on.
In order to make it work again you can use this useful topic (thank you @eprowe) with the fix below.
Open PHP file img-mouseover
and add this before each of the 4 functions: public static
Example:
public static function init()
I hope plugin author @tychay will fix this nice plugin.

Hi,
After install this plugin i have this error:

anyone can help me?
Just updated to 4.4 and img-mouseover isn’t working any longer. It appears that with the transition to provide responsive images all images are loaded with “srcset” in addition to “src”. Browsers that support the srcset attribute (Firefox and Chrome) will ignore the src attribute. Since img-mouseover ONLY changes src and not srcset as well this renders the plugin useless.
I tried examining the JS code to fix the issue but it is just beyond my reach. Is there any chance in getting this resolved?
For anyone else out there using this plugin. If you want it to continue to work avoid upgrading to 4.4.
Um, would like to give this plug in a go but there is absolutely no clue as to how to use it. No settings, no buttons, nothing. Any ideas anyone? All I want is a good old fashioned image rollover plug in.
The mouseover works fine in showing the second image but moving the mouse makes both images disappear from the page. I trited adding onmouseout et related but can’t fix the problem.
Any help appreciated.
how do i use this plugin? there seems to be no instructions?
can you share screenshots step by step?
Needed a on click action. Works fine.
But now i want a reverse/repeat.
So: lamp off -> click 1 = lamp on click 2 = lamp off click 3 = lamp on etc.
Click 1 is no problem:

How can i buid in a reverse/repeat?
Hi, I really like your plugin! Easy to use and nice effect. However today I had a problem. On firefox the plugin workes as before. On Safari and chrome the images disapear on mouseover. After reloading the page they are displayed again.
Any idea how to fix it?
I have used this plug in for quite some time and now find that its working in the widget area but not in the posts area.
Going to have to find a different solution.
Im seeing weirdness in IE 8. Is it not supported or am I doing something wrong?

I’ve installed this plugin with the TinyMCE button, and it works beautiful. However, it only works when editing the page. As soon as I click “view page” or look at it live, the images no longer change on mouseover. Help?
I cannot work out half of the instructions in the text file which comes with this plugin – and the developer’s site is not returning a page, so I can’t see if it has any clearer info or examples.
I have it working fine with an image rolling over itself… what I actually want is that rolling over one image changes another different image for a third image. Think grid of small thumbnails with one large image to the right.
The instructions seems to suggest that it’s possible with use of the A tag but I can’t get it to work.
If anyone can help that’d be great.
Hi, please help with the following:
I have set up one pic on my front page and by mouseover i get a second image. the problem is- I want that second image to be cklickable and then link to a new page. how do I do that?
Best regards
Magnus
This is a good start for something that should be native to WP. Instead of editing the HTML, there has to be a more elegant way to implement this. I would like to see a roll-over panel where you define your roll over actions and from there you get a short-code or something similar.
This is the code to get started, but the transition is really jerky.

The noresize option doesn’t seem to be working for me. Any suggestions?
I just suffered a great deal trying to figure this plug in out.
It ended up being idiotically simple after I read ANOTHER website I found googling.
go here to save time:
Mouseover functionality broken for several versions now.
NOT!
I have been using this great plugin for a couple of months and it is a work of art. However when I updated to this new version it breaks all my image mouseovers, nothing works!
So until a fix is found I would stay with the old version.
Please fix!
