I hope this message finds you well. I am currently using the Image Watermark plugin on a WordPress site with a substantial media library, containing over 30,000 images. My primary challenge is to apply watermarks specifically to images associated with property listings without affecting other media files.

Here are the key details of my use case:

• Property Images Identification: Images are attached to property listings (a custom post type called “property”). I need to selectively apply watermarks only to these images.
• Bulk Watermarking: I am aware of the plugin’s bulk watermarking feature, but it applies watermarks to all images indiscriminately. I need a solution or method to bulk watermark only the images linked to property posts.
• Current Workflow: I currently use the automatic watermarking feature when images are uploaded. However, I want to avoid re-uploading all existing images just to add the watermark, which would be impractical given the volume.

Request for Assistance:

1. Selective Bulk Watermarking: Is there a recommended way within the plugin to filter and bulk apply watermarks only to images associated with a specific post type or metadata?
2. Custom Functionality: Would you have any suggestions or guidance on customizing the plugin or extending its functionality to support this selective bulk watermarking process? If so, are there hooks, filters, or other methods you recommend?
3. Best Practices: Any best practices or additional plugins that work well with Image Watermark for filtering media based on criteria would be greatly appreciated.

Additional configuration is needed . 1 Set the percentage of watermark size for the horizontal image. 2 Set the percentage of watermark size for the vertical image.a simple example, sometimes it is possible for the watermark on the vertical image to occupy more than 40%, since the watermark is not always visible on vertical thumbnails. but for horizontal images, when creating thumbnails, 20% of the watermark is enough so that the watermark additional adjustment scale horizontal vertical image is noticeable on the thumbnail.

when you upload horizontal images, you have to go in to set up 20%, then you load vertical images, you already have to go in and set 45%, and so on, it takes a lot of time

When activating the plug-in in PHP8.2, the following error is displayed: Switching back to 7.4 will enable the plugin normally.

The plugin could not be enabled because it caused a fatal error.

Thanks for this plugins but I think there is some bug.

When I apply watermark to some page, the image is corrupted:

I’m wondering if it’s possible to have watermark applied automatically to a specific custom image size. We have a custom size called “social” which is a hard crop of 1200×630 (the correct ratio for Facebook and Twitter). It’s the only size we’d like to watermark. Right now, we do this manually and it’s a hassle. Could we use this plugin to automate watermarking of this specific size only?

My situation is i need to watermark all my images with my company logo on my own website, but i need to share the data with a partner website without the watermarked logo images.
To do that i have to export and send xml.

Recently this plugin shows me an error that says undefined function imagecreatefromjpeg().

This function is loaded from the GD extension within PHP. This extension is active on my server and should be available.

PHP version: 8.1
WordPress version: 6.2.2
Server: Nginx

Exact error:

Removing Watermark does not work (yes, I checked the backup option).

Unfortunately image watermark doesn’t work at all on my website. My website is multilingual site using a plugin “Polylang”.

Polylang must have an image for each language. Since there is only one image (transparency PNG) to set in the watermark, I was wondering which language-compatible image to use.

I deselected the option Automatic watermarking, but its still the same.

Hello, I’m not sure if this is a bug or not but for some reason my site icon is getting watermarked and on mobile its really noticeable, seen here —

For the “Enable watermark for” setting I selected “everywhere” and saved twice but it keeps reverting to “on selected post types only” automatically. No problem though because it seems to be working fine, all images are still watermarked but id like to get it removed from the fav icon so it shows no watermark on the recently viewed website tab for mobile phones.

This just doesnt work. Spent a full hour trying to get it to function but it just wont apply the watermark to images in the media library no matter what I do.

This plugin is broken. I installed it, activated it, and checked the little box that says “Enable Apply Watermark option for Media Library images.”

There is no option under the bulk options in media despite this. Instead you are prompted to change to list mode for it to work, but list mode doesn’t work because there is no watermark option in the drop down list.

Plus, you can’t accurately promote your plugin as supporting bulk anything if that “bulk” feature is limited to batches of 30 or whatever your screen options allow you to edit at once in the editor.
