I know this plugin hasn’t been updated in years, but I thought it was worth a shot because I still love and use it on so many sites. There’s really nothing like it.

Anyway, I get this plugin to work with modern themes by installing the Classic plugin just to get the shortcode, and then turning off classic and copying that shortcode where I need it. But on this most recent site I’m working on, the PNGs don’t move. The only way I could get it to work was by installing an old theme where I know it works.

• It doesn’t work in Twenty Twenty Three
• It doesn’t work in Twenty Twenty One
• It doesn’t work in Greenshift (the FSE theme I’m using on this site)
• Interestingly, it *does* work on Gutenify; and this IS one of the new full-site editor themes.

So because it works in Gutenify, it seems it would be possible to get the plugin working with the new FSE themes, but I don’t know what’s different in Gutenify from these other themes. Any chance you might consider updating this plugin?

Hi, I just recenty downloaded your product and i tried to use it for my site, but when i tested it, i found out that even if the images i used where very large, the plug in scaled them down and i can’t find out how to resize them.

Hi –

I am interested in doing something like this with a photo background and line drawing foreground. I was hoping to use an SVG for the line drawing. Would this work with an SVG image?

I know that WordPress doesn’t typically support SVG but I will already be working around that for some other images.

How can we set a link to the layers?

I just created my first parallax and it’s not working. The images are appearing one after the other (vertically) on my page – no parallax layering.

First of all: your plugin is really great!
I have it on a website with fullwidth but if I move the mouse you can see the end of the pictures.
How can I avoid this?
In your description you mention “https://matthew.wagerfield.com/parallax/”. There you can see no ending of the pictures.

Hi,

I tried to create a parallax image using your plugin, when I click on preview changes, it works all fine, but when I look on my site itself, the images get stacked below eachother.
Thus the theme overrides your plugin’s CSS, will there be an update that makes the plugin’s CSS override the theme’s?

This a great plugin concept, it would be fantastic if the images were shown true to size. My images are 940×415 but when they appear on the page they are blurry https://ftcteam6024.com/parallax/ Full size is selected in the gallery settings.
Even if the window is resized to match the original composite pictue it is still fuzzy.

I just uploaded your plugin and set some high res png images in the gallery and they are pixelly. Is there a way to fix this? Here is the link so you see what I mean. I tried using 850×600 and 1771×1250 image size and neither made a difference. Here is the link for you to see what I mean:
