It seems line brakes from tags are replaced with spaces.
Then I upload a jpg with multi-paragraph text in a IPTC:Caption-Abstract
tag, and place it in the image Description field, all text is converted to just one line.
Dear developer, please update this plugin ASAP – the vulnerability in your plugin is very serious and dangerous.
Otherwise, the plugin should be pulled from www.remarpro.com, since others might be downloading it actively.
Danke!

Is there any fix for this?
I can only get this plugin to work when selecting to crunch .. When the post is being saved .. Better than nothing but it sucks when you need to make modifications because you have to go turn the plugin off .. make your post mods .. turn back on.
]]>So I was very excited to find and use this plugin. I started crafting my tag combination to fill in the caption filed of wordpress.
I thought this would work.
{EXIF:Copyright @”Photo credit: $” % “”}, {EXIF:Model} ( {EXIF:FocalLength},{EXIF:ApertureValue},{EXIF:ShutterSpeedValue},{EXIF:ISO} )
But instead of getting what I expected
Photo credit: Khurt Williams, NIKON D5100 (45mm, f/8, 1/250 sec, ISO100)
I got
Photo credit: Khürt Williams, NIKON D5100 ( 44/1,4946/995,6311/906, )
I’ve spent almost and hour trying to get value that work but …. I’m stumped.

Is the plugin still supported and have you tested it against WP 3.9?

]]>I downloaded and installed the plugin. It worked for me with a test photo. I then added meta data to my photos in Lightroom, exported them and uploaded to WP media library. However, the title and caption were missing. I have check the settings in the plugin, and they all seem to be correct. The IPTC data is in the file. I uninstalled the plugin and reinstalled. But I am getting the same problem. The Title is blank – it is not even filled in with the default of the file name. Not sure where to go from here. Any help wold be much appreciated!
]]>Can’t figure out how to get the Focal Length information. If I got it right from the EXIF specifications it is a computed value, because if I just use {exif:FocalLength} then I get something like “250/1”, but {exif:computed>FocalLength} doesn’t give any result.
I also had a hard time to get the ISO value, till I tried {exif:ISOSpeedRatings} instead of {exif:ISOSpeed} or any other with “ISO”. Maybe you can just add this to the available Metadata. ??
Else, this plugin is exactly what I needed to get the EXIF-data into the post_content for further use. Thank you.
]]>Hi All
I was searching for an entry with the original sizes of my picture (before the resize IN PHOTOSHOP). I found it in {ALL:json} listed, but this property IS NOT LISTED in the available metadata… still it works perfectly, I get the data.
This should be listed on the available metadata tab.
Name is { EXIF:ImageLength } and is the pair of { EXIF:ImageWidth } instead of the trivial { EXIF:ImageHeight } which does not work ( at least for me).

]]>Hi Peter,
I’m trying to migrate a site I’ve built from my dev server to my client’s server, and I’m running into a bunch of problems. One of them is that when I go into the media library, I get a scrolling screen full of errors linked to this plugin (see paste below for sample).
Can you tell me by looking at that if (1) I did something wrong in the migration; (2) there’s anything I can do to fix it; or (3) it’s a problem with server config?
This new web host is an unknown quantity to me, so it’s very possible they have things configured on their server in a way that doesn’t work, but it’s also possible that I borked something.
Help! Thanks!

Hi Peter,
thanks for your great plugin.
I wonder if it would be possible, to make the custom image meta tags visible and editable in media library. That would be very helpful.
Best,
Panda
I’ve use the PlugIn first time, the most Values are right formatted. Only the Aperture Value is not formatted the right way.
“EXIF:ApertureValue” shows: 2970854/1000000 | “EXIF:ApertureFNumber” sows nothing | “EXIF:FNumber” Shows 28/10 The right way was f/2,8
Were is my mistake?
I’m trying to import keywords so I tried IPTC:Keywords and EXIF:XPKeywords but both don’t work. I also notice it works for images that used adobe to add keywords but not images that uses windows 7 to add keywords.
In windows 7 I just right click the image and then Properties > Details and added keywords to the tags box. Can you make your plugin work for images that used windows 7 to add image data.
Here’s an example image you can test with https://demo.gorgeoushentai.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/11/141.jpg

Have a missed something for the key words to show up in the description area?

It’s operating flawlessly through admin. So I’m thinking it could be that the other plugins aren’t implementing something properly? Any thoughts? Completely understand that you don’t support other’s plugins.
I’m loving the plugin and I’d love to contribute if I can. Thanks!

]]>Hello!
Thanks for this profoundly useful tool.
I’m using it to pull prices, product descriptions and menu item ingredients from metadata on food images imported to a restaurant menu and finding it able to accomplish easily what many other plugins I’ve tried cannot address. However, it’s failing to import metadata and it’s spitting up errors when used in conjunction with the popular plugin Eazyest Gallery, which was my image display tool of choice for its flexibility, folder-structured imports and for what appears to be a fidelity to the standard WP media approach. (This last point I’m uncertain about, as I have much more familiarity with other software than WP.)
I’m not writing in the expectation that you somehow magically fix my vaguely described conflict with another plugin, but as a heads-up that this error arises and as a request for guidance in seeking solutions.
I’m using no other plugins but version 1.8 of Image Metadata Cruncher and 0.1.2 of Eazyest Gallery. This is a single instance of WP 3.5.1 on shared hosting at Dreamhost with the theme set to 2011 and Eazyest Gallery’s metadata parsing/display turned off. It’s a dev site on which I’m working to deadline, so any links I provided would be unlikely to show a stable illustration of this situation.
Importing image folders generates these warnings:
Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/user/subsite.site.ca/wp-content/plugins/image-metadata-cruncher/image-metadata-cruncher.php on line 333
Warning: array_change_key_case() expects parameter 1 to be array, null given in /home/user/subsite.site.ca/wp-content/plugins/image-metadata-cruncher/image-metadata-cruncher.php on line 332
These are my current settings, which work well for standard image import:
Title:
{ IPTC:Caption } - { IPTC:Keywords }
Alternate text:
{ IPTC:Caption }
Caption:
{ EXIF:Headline @ "/$$" }
Description:
{ IPTC:Caption | EXIF:ImageDescription }
If you have any insights or recommendations for a workaround I would much appreciate your input. If you’re aware of robust gallery/bulk-import plugins that cooperate better with Image Metadata Cruncher, I’d also be delighted to hear about them.
Thanks
