I indexed 11,288, but it took over 1/2 of the images off our website. So, I need to “unindex” all of them, but there’s no way to do that unless I go through 11,288 images and unindex them; deleting the plugin didn’t remove the “indexing” of the images.
Suggestions?
I have 13489 unref’d unused images. It shows up as 135 pages. When I click the select all checkbox and bulk action “move” these images, it only moves the ones on that page. That means i would have to do this 135 times. Is there a way to move all these images at once?
I have deleted all unused images! Works great!
One suggestion/request. Users may have unreferenced images that are being loaded dynamically. In this case, those images will be deleted. Solution: you could add a pattern/folder exclusion, so that in case there’s a match, these images won’t be deleted.
For instance I am using a subfolder “Banners” in the “Uploads” folders; given the exclusion list “uploads\banners” all images in this folder won’t be deleted. Your thoughts?
I’m trying to index the images, but on step 4 item 1 i get a fatal error:
SyntaxError: JSON.parse: unexpected non-whitespace character after JSON data at line 1 column 10 of the JSON data
Anyone who knows how to fix this?

Unfortunatly the plugin indexes images in the tab “Unreferenced Unused Images” that are in use in my website.
This image for example is indexed as unused whereas it’s in use :
femme-thumb-deuter-aircontact-50-10-sl.jpg
I guess that it’s because of its name contains figures eventhough the figures are not related to the size of the image.
It seems to me the plugin indexes any image that have a figure in its name compare this figure to the different sizes of the images that are set for the theme in function.php.
If different it’s indexed as unused.
Am I right ?
I would really like an explaination of how this plugin works in order to know how much I can trust it.
Thanks for the help.
It’s really needed.

was thinking the plugin’s not working. chose to “Move” several images as a test. then i have a look at my FTP program’s window to see if anything changed. And it seems like nothing happened.
BUT then I realized that we would need to “refresh” the window view of the FTP app to see changes. and sure enough, once the view’s refreshed, i saw those images gone from the folder.
so yeah, always REFRESH after every “move”
so where did they go?
all moved inside this folder in your server: wp-content/uploads/imagecleanup/0
and I also tested the “Restore Moved Files”, and yes it worked. The files will be sent back where they were originally from. Intact. kudos!
hope that helps.

500 – An Error Has Occurred. Please Check Your Scripts

An error has occurred and the server was unable to complete your request. The server has reported \”internal server error\” as it it not able to determine the cause of the problem.
The most common reason for seeing this page is because of a website scripting error. Website administrators should check the following:

Incorrect permissions

The top cause of this error is incorrect permissions on a script or directory. Directories that
contain web content (including cgi scripts) must be mode 755. CGI scripts must also be 755. PHP scripts
outside cgi-bin folders must be mode 644.

Invalid script interpreter

The script interpreter is defined on the first line of the script after the #! and must exist on the server.
This is usually perl and needs to be \’/usr/bin/perl\’. If you wish to use php, please use \’/usr/bin/php5-cgi\’.
These paths can vary from system to system and it\’s important to ensure that they\’re correct for this server.

Script uploaded in binary mode

Text files are very slightly different between Unix and Windows platforms. If you upload in ASCII mode, the ftp server
will translate the files to Unix mode for you if necessary. If you upload in binary mode, it won\’t. CGI scripts are one of the few places on web servers where this difference actually matters.

Script did not output headers

CGI scripts must output HTTP headers. If you\’re using PHP, it will do this for you. If you\’re using Perl, you must do
it yourself or use a helper module to do it for you. You must also ensure that the headers are always the first output generated by the script. It\’s not uncommon
for test or debugging code to output a message before the headers and that will cause the server to treat the script as broken.

Syntax error in script

This error will be generated if scripts have syntax errors and don\’t actually run successfully.
You should obtain the relevant interpreter for your script and try to run it before uploading as this is the easiest way to ensure that there are no syntax errors.

Script is trying to use a module not installed on the server

Perl scripts will usually die with an error if a module the script requires is not installed. If you suspect a module you require is not installed, please contact support.

Error in .htaccess

This error will be returned if there is a directive Apache does not understand in the .htaccess file.

What to do if all else fails

If you\’ve checked all of these things and can\’t fix the problem, our support staff will be able to find out more specific details
of the actual problem and give you more detailed information on how to resolve it.
