I pay for the pro version, have it installed – your plugin won’t seem to activate. I’ve paid for nothing

I have loaded If Menu up into my Blocksy/WP website and I cannot see the dropdown menu to add the conditions.

Any advice please

There is an issue with the plugin, when using it with Hide Menu IF <<role>> and adding additional Hide Menu IF statement with the OR operator it acts like the AND operator where ALL statements need to be true.

On my website’s main menu, I have a custom link for “Log Out.” I’ve put this as an If-Menu option, “Show if user is logged in.” It was working. It is now not, and no matter how many times I re-enter this and save the menu, it doesn’t actually save the If-Menu setting (so is always showing the “Log Out” menu option.

I notice that on another site I run (with largely the same menu set-up), there is an If-Menu option “if user is logged in for current site” which is missing in the dropdown menu of options for this setting. Both sites are running WP 6.6. and version 0.18.0 of the plugin.

Does anyone have any ideas why this might not be saving?

We just purchased the plugin as our client wants to only show certain menu items to specific LearnDash groups. We read the section on your website that says “Third-party plugin integrations:?Show if user is in Group "Group Name",?Show if user has Subscription "Example Subscription"?and more” so want to know how we can do this for Learndash Groups

I’ve just created a new page and added it to the menu as normal, but unlike normal I have experienced an error. It’s okay when the menu item is introduced at the bottom of the list (i.e. a new “main” item), but as soon as I try to move it anywhere else, I get an error. On screen after the creation of the menu, near the top of the screen, I get “ey 0 in?/var/www/vhosts/mysite.org/httpdocs/wp-content/plugins/if-menu/if-menu.php?on line?310“. I can’t read what comes before the “ey” because it’s hidden by the black WP dashboard menu and won’t let me copy it.

At the same time, if I then look at the site, my home page is full of error messages:

Trying to access array offset on value of type null in/var/www/vhosts/mysite.org/httpdocs/wp-content/plugins/if-menu/if-menu.phpon line111 Warning

The same message appears twice more but showing line 115 on those occasions.

The horizontal menu across the top of the screen has been replaced by a vertical menu on the right. I note the new item is in the right place in the list.

The only way I can save this is to remove the page from the menu.

I have version 0.18.0 (basic) running on Mesmerize Theme (not Pro) Version: 1.6.125, WordPress version 6.5.

Does the paid version support WP Members or do I have to create a custom rule to control visibility of a menu item based on the user’s subscription status?

In deciding whether to get a single site license or a multiple site license, we have a staging site whose domain has a .dev suffix. Will that count as a license (I know some plugins don’t count sites like that).

I am using FSE with Theme2023. IfMenu doesn’t seem to work, or at least I haven’t figure out how to make it work. Any ideas?

I was trying to figure out some custom conditions to do with knowing if a user is logged in and is a member of the current site in a multisite. SInce If Menu didn’t seem to have those abilities

I went to have a look in the If Menu code to see what might help me. And I spotted some sections using

if (defined('WP_ALLOW_MULTISITE') && WP_ALLOW_MULTISITE === true) {

ANd I realised that If Menu DOES know about multisites.

However, the global variable you are looking for is not the one my server is using. My server is using:

define( 'MULTISITE', true );

I probably replaced WP_ALLOW_MULTISITE with MULTISITE as part of the setup.

I expect many people may have done the same. But also, the WP_ALLOW_MULTISITE variable only says that Multi site is allowed. It doesn’t mean that it has been installed…

But MULTISITE HAS to always be there for multisite to work. Perhaps the check should be for MULTISITE or WP_ALLOW_MULTISITE .

In my case, I added the variable back to my wp-config.php and I got those menu items

When I go to the If Menu settings, at the bottom there is an option:

“Filter menu items in Admin panel”

With a tick box on.

This implies that If Menu can control the Admin panel visibility.

If so, how? I can literally find no place in the dashboard interface to add visibility to the admin panel. Nor in the Menu section.

I went to the demo site, but theres no menus, nothing. And no way of logging in. Can that be fixed?

We purchased the More Visibility Rules premium addon so we could set show/hide rules based on RCP membership level. It does not work at all. Have contacted support several times and no answer. I see numerous posts in this forum complaining that RCP rules don’t work and no response from the plugin developer. Is anyone supporting this addon?

I told RCP Support not to recommend this plugin based on my experience thus far.

The plugin is causing the Appearance–> Menu very slow in WordPress and sometimes timeout. The problem goes away after we remove this plugin.

I don’t have time to troubleshoot this with you, however I wanted to let you know there is a conflict between IF Menu and WooCommerce. I was able to confirm this by activating/deactivating my plugins until I found the issue.

Issue: Page continued to load, eventually 504 gateway error. Puts high load on the CPU.

I thought it was WooCommerce and tried rolling back to previous versions, however I further narrowed it down to both IF Menu and WooCommerce together being the cause of the problem.

When hovering over the Login menu item, there’s a popup saying “If Menu peek”. This didn’t show before and I’m thinking it might have started happening with an update or something. How do I fix this?

I have unchecked “If Menu peek” in the settings, but that doesn’t make any difference.

Hi. My menus editing page is taking 30-60 seconds to load due to a timeout 522 error. Query monitor says it’s due to this GET (I changed the nonce):

I have a little issue; I am using the Easy Affiliate Plugin, and the If Menu is not showing the “Is Affiliate” condition in the menus as an option to show the affiliate content only for those who have an account in the Easy Affiliate plugin, do you think is possible to add it?

The plugin has been working great for me but when I created some sub menu items and saved my menu, it deleted a number of my visibility rules and won’t keep them saved even if I re-enter them. This is only an issue if I have sub menu items. (I’m using Avada theme).

Question before buying: Can If menu condition the menu display to a Gamipress user level?

There’s no other plugin like this one (since Menu Item Visibility Control was removed) and it’s essential to many of our sites; however, it’s impossible to buy the “MORE VISIBILITY RULES” plugin required to enable rules with multiple sub-options. Looks like the owners, Layered, are no longer operating, though @andreiigna still appears to be updating this plugin – for that THANK YOU!

I don’t care about enabling the existing premium rules themselves (location, device size, etc.); however, the logic to trigger the premium upsell doesn’t apply to specific conditions but rather any rule with sub-option conditions and therefore we can’t add our own multi-level rules and use them without manually removing the premium upsell UI conditional from /assets/if-menu.js by removing/commenting out lines 54 and 63-72.

@andreiigna, we would happily pay for this plugin; it’s essential to some of our more complex sites and I would rather see you take ownership of the premium upgrade to continue to maintain & make some money off of this plugin over simply removing the upsell entirely; however, the bottom line is that, as delivered, the plugin is fundamentally broken/limited.

I have a small site with a number of pages that should be only visible to either US / UK / Rests of world / or Europe.

I think your advanced plugin would work. But the icing on the cake would be to allow the user to switch country if they happen to be on the wrong version due to VPN or they deliberately want to see the content for another country. Is there any way to generate URLs for specific menus? Thanks,

We have a main menu with a custom link that says ‘Book Now’ and we only want it to appear in the menu for mobile. We’ve set the to just ‘Show if Mobile’ but it still appears on desktop.
