I’ve added the free plugin and generated the shortcode using your shortcode builder tool. When I view the same calendar on your Preview Your Calendar page, it displays full width. I’m not seeing an option for making the calendar display like it does on your Preview page on our website. Can you please provide details on how to accomplish the same styling?

In the month view, the calendar does not show me the last days of the previous and following month.
It would be great if it could fill in the first and last week of the month.

We have deleted some recurring events from our outlook calendar but on the ICS website calendar they are still there, showing as cancelled – how can we remove entirely?

Hi! We have seven Google calendar feeds set up on our site but the “Athletics” one is not displaying. We recently moved our site to the live server, which is when the issue began. The feed does show on our dev site with all the same settings. Is there a server issue/setting that would cause one feed to not display over the others? The Athletics calendar is the largest one with the most events if that makes a difference. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Even with ajax=true , I can confirm the following behavior :

• I update my (google) calendar
• I refresh (ctrl+f5) my page > no change
• I go to wp-admin/admin.php?page=ics-calendar#utilities and flush cache > I get a “no transient data found” message (it’s in french, so not sure what message exactly is in english)
• I refresh (ctrl+f5) my page > no change
• I flush my redis cache + refresh (ctrl+f5) my page > new data are available

I have used monthnav="compact” and used the Shortcode builder, but there is no month navigation visable.

I’m using the [ics_calendar] shortcode on my WordPress site, and I’d like to know if there is a way to display a custom error message when the ICS file URL passed in the shortcode cannot be reached (for example, if the URL returns a 404 error or is missing).

Instead of the default behavior, I would like to display a simple message like “No dates available” if the URL is invalid or inaccessible.

Is there a way to implement this using the plugin’s current features, or would it require a custom solution? Any guidance or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I would like to be able to change a tiny bit of the display: I show the start times and (default) display the end times on hover. Is there any chance I could edit the display of the dash for the “until” end time?

Default: 11:00 – 11:30

I haven’t found a parameter to do so, CSS would not work since it is in HMTL? Any hints greatly appreciated.

In the original events in the Google Calender we use colors to divide events to a certain group.

Is it possible to show these colors at the website?

Our current employee portal is outdated and barely functional, especially the PTO calendar. I’m hoping that ICS Calendar can be a good solution to our problem, but I need some help figuring it out. If you view the attached link, you can see the preliminary calendar I set up.

My most important question that will determine whether we can use this or not– can people send in requests for events that admin can then approve or deny? For example, if I wanted to take 3 days off, how could I create an event that would be sent for approval to an admin before showing up on the calendar (if approved)?

I realize that some functionality depends on having the Pro version– we aren’t able to get the Pro version unless the company owner OK’s the purchase, and we have to know whether it can be used for PTO first.

The monthly drop-down view is completely black on my dark mode web page. I just need the dropdown text to at least be white. Preferrably in shortcode as CSS doesn’t seem to take on my site for some reason.

Hi, Our full month ics-calendars only shows events for the coming three months no matter what settings over 90 days that are set for “Limit Days” or even if it is not set at all.
What can we do to make the calendar show at least all events for the coming year?

If you go to THIS LINK, you can see almost every August event is doubled. Yet, on the actual Google Calendar at THIS LINK, you can clearly see that it’s not.

I am using this plugin to show calendar events for our troop and have 3 shortcodes to show different amounts for each pagination based on screen size (2, 3 and 4 at a time). The problem is that there are missing blocks on each of these and only 5 of the 12 events are showing with the 2 and 4 at a time. The 3 at a time has 8 out of 12 events.

My client has many “All Day” events on their calendar, that they have just noticed are displaying on two days. For example, an all day event on Monday, August 5, when clicked on, brings up the tooltip:

Monday?August?5?–?Tuesday?August?6
12:00?am – 12:00?am

By the ending time being 12am the next day, it’s showing up on both days.

Is there something I can do to adjust the shortcode, or any other solution that I can apply on my end?

This calendar is for a school, which is back in session this week, which is why they have noticed this out. This behavior was not present at the end of last school year, but is here now as they have populated their calendar for the new year.

OK here’s a weird one. I have been using ICS for 4 years with no issues – probably the best plugin I’ve used. I’ve sourced feeds from the High School’s sports websites in the past with no issue. While updating for the fall season, the new feeds don’t appear, except that some (but not all) of them do in my sandbox environment – https://82p.645.myftpupload.com/football-calendar/ So nothing in production environment 3 of 4 in sandbox. The ICS feed checker in WP gives mixed results in production and sandbox. “Could not retrieve data from the requested URL” in production. 63.00 B received. This does not appear to be a valid ICS feed URL. in sandbox. I noticed that the feeds went from a webcal:// format to an https:// format – don’t think that should impact the feed, though. The online ICS tool also pulls no data. So weird. Any thoughts?

I am having an issue with 2-day events that have start/end times set, it only shows the first day.

Longer are fine as well as events that do not have times set.

extendmultiday=”true” does not help either and timezone is correct.

I have been using the ICS Calendar plugin for over a year now. I’ve tried everything short of purchasing the pro version and hoping that fixes it. To be honest, I’m almost ready to give up on it. No matter what settings I try it constantly drops off, at least a couple of time a day for long periods of time. I can make it come back on after several server reboots. And “sometimes” but not always, saving a setting or a page can bring it back. My WordPress is installed on my Virtualmin server. Using cron, I pull the calendar from my Nextcloud server. The calendar.ics file is then stored and accessed on the Virtualmin server locally. The calendar data is definitely being stored there. I’ve tried with and without the Ajax settings. I’ve tried disabling the opcache in Virtualmin. I’ve also installed the WordPress W3 Total Cache and tinkered with setting there. I have tried multiple variations of the “ajax and reload” shortcodes below. I’ve had absolutely no luck making this Stabe. Any help would greatly appreciated.

Hi,

I am using the jQuery event r34ics_init_end on a page that has multiple calendars embedded.

This event fires after each calendar init completes, but there doesn’t seem to be a determine the calendar that triggered it.

In my case, I have 10 mini calendar feeds on one page and need to run custom JS which analyses the calendar’s output. I have found a workaround, but it involves checking all calendars on the page, on each init (not efficient). Being able to pinpoint which calendar fired the event, for example by its CSS ID would be very useful.

This is probably a feature request! I love your plugin by the way.

I was using ICS Calendar 10 with a custom view. My short code is [ics_calendar url="..." view="custom"] and I registered a few filters and actions using a code snippet plugin, roughly looking like this:

I updated to version 11 and now it just renders in month mode. I can switch between ‘month’, ‘list’, etc, but ‘custom’ just doesn’t work anymore. Has this feature been removed? I didn’t read anything about this in the changelog.

When we are logged into our site and view the calendar on the frond end we see our events but if we view the page when not logged in the events don’t show on the calendar – do you have any idea why this would be?

I have a feed working fine. I need to change the title of the event to be generic, i.e. hoover for details whilst still being able to show the unique details. Is this possible?

These line breaks create an extra white space between the event time and the event title in my CSS. Have I done an error in the CSS or is this a feature of the compact layout?

I am using the gratis version of the plug-in. I have created the following shortcode for a calendar (the one immediately visible at the linked page)

The dropdown for the month selection contains the months from a year ago up to the month with events. This works fine. However the initial display seems to default to the first month in the dropdown and not to the current one, as I want.

Note that the documentation for the parameter startdate says:

By default, the calendar display will start from the current date.

Is the start date always the first month in the dropdown in the gratis version or what am I missing?

hi, im looking for a calendar plugin that lets me display a working calendar that a crew use to take boat bookings with.

the problem is that the calendar i display on the website really only needs to show “booked” – not the detail of the booking.

is this possible at all? all events ( or private events ) simply show as “BOOKED” and that’s it?

I’m experiencing some inconsistent loading issues with the plugin and AJAX option.

I encountered an “AJAX request failed” message in the console. This seems to occur for “new” users or in Private mode. After a hard refresh, it loads, but the problem reoccurs when I start a new private session.

If I disable the AJAX option, it loads, but the calendar remains stuck in the cache indefinitely, even with very small cache setting.

If I save again the page in WordPress, problem is solved for about a day. So, I bet there is some cache problem here (since I reset everything this morning, page should work fine on May 16, 2024).

I’ve attempted to use the “Use legacy feed request method” option, but without success.

The website is hosted on a WP Engine server with Cloudflare and APO plugins. Everything is up to date.

Any suggestions?

I want to mix one or more iCal feeds in one calendar but I want them to be shown like only one feed, with only one title and color… Can this be does? Can then this be mixed in this way, for example: 2 feeds mixed in one and other 3 feeds mixed in the second, so its appears like only 2 feeds (2 titles and 2 colors) but inside there are 5 feeds.

This is my question (if there is not a way to do that by default shorcode options, can be does via code with anchor or function?).
