I have had this Plug-in installed on every site I own or manage (currently 46 sites) for years, and it is invaluable to me to see the hierarchy tree and get to the page I want.

I never have the tree public, but access it in the hidden admin areas we have created. It lets me see all the Pages at once, even the ones that are hidden to others in the menus, by member type or other criteria.

I Highly Recommend this Plug-In.. It’s simple, accurate, fast, and just makes sense with no silly unneeded frills

I felt the need to post a quick review for this plugin since it got a couple low ratings due to only including pages. The plugin clearly states it is for listing all of your pages only. It is not a normal XML sitemap. I’m giving it 5 stars because it is simple and does what I wanted. I simply wanted a page that listed all of my site’s pages. This did it quickly and minimally.

I do have one suggestion for the author. Rename the plugin. Instead of HTML Page Sitemap, perhaps it should be Simple Page List. Or, something that does not include “sitemap” since that word is what caused the couple low reviews, I think.

If you only have pages on your website and no blogs is fine.
…But if you have blogs on your website look for another plugin.

Why would anyone build an HTML Sitemap Plugin for WordPress, and only archive Pages on the Sitemap, not Posts? This is completely against any good SEO strategy and honestly, this Plugin is useless without having the Post feature. Why didn’t you use the WordPress Loop and simply add in a little extra PHP? Sorry guys, but this is not a good Plugin. If you’re an SEO Specialist, do not use this Plugin.

Does what it should, and allows page exclusion via shortcode. Displays links in the order of the Pages list. Dont need anything more than that!

It was so frustrating to use some HTML sitemap plugins – but not this one. It was simple to use, and the shortcodes make it easy to exclude certain pages that any novice WordPress user can do it by following the simple directions.

I highly recommend this plugin. We use the plugin on bankruptcycentre.com.au and it works a treat.

The website transitioned from HTML to WordPress, and in the process we tried multple HTML sitemap plugins. In the time it took to install and uninstall the useless one’s wecould have manually created one. I ‘m glad we tried this plugin though as it is extremely compact and easy to use.

I had downgraded this because it stopped excluding pages that I don’t want to show. Earlier versions of the plugin or of WordPress allowed a string of page IDs separated by a comma as in [html_sitemap depth=3 exclude=1006, 3827, 7001] but as of version 3.8, that stopped. Today, I tried adding apostrophes around the string and it now excludes those page IDs as in
[html_sitemap depth=’3′ exclude=’1006, 3827, 7001′]

I rate this a 5 now because it is simple to use and perfect for listing pages in a WordPress CMS-type site. It has no need to include posts for WordPress sites that don’t have posts.

I love this HTML page site-map. Just install the plug-in and put [html_sitemap] on the page where you want the alphabetical user friendly site-map will appear. Great simple tool and easy to implement.
