I upgraded to pro on this one to get webhooks. For those with OCD attention to detail for clean code, like me, then this plugin is the way to go.
One question: How do I add custom attributes to the form element? I’m attempting to prevent autofocus on page load by adding the attribute tabindex=0 to the form; unless you have an alternative recommended approach.

I was recommended by a friend, uninstalled CF7 immediately and switched to it! The performance is amazing, no CSS is loaded, only JS is loaded on the necessary page. The capacity of JS is also very small.

Its a great plugin that makes the creation of simple forms super easy and comes with basic features like a honeypot. You should be comfortable with HTML, but the plugin has a great UI to create most form elements. I love the build-in conditonal visibility, which covers most usecases with simple attributes. You can even build simple multi-step forms.
If you are comfortable with a little JS and PHP it is super easy to extend the default behavior.

This has to be the best WordPress form plugin I have ever used and boy I have used too many to count. Minimum to No CSS &JS, easy to markup and configure, great customer support and webhooks (premium) are the things I needed and HTML forms fits my needs.
Free version is great for almost everyone but if you have a budget, try premium.
Important note: Don’t use it if your WordPress site is on PHP8. Caused a redirect loop on the robots.txt file for me.

Really this form plugin gives open sky for form creation in wordpress. I can modify the form to my heart content. I can utilize ready made layout of any framework for example bootstrap, I can utilize any script available for custom functionality of the form, like any custom field, mutli step form, conditional fields etc. Super easy to use, if you already familiar with contact form 7.
So I think its the best alternative for the most popular contact form 7. Great Job!
I would suggest that you should also prepare an addon for the plugin to save its data as custom metadata in wordpress on submission of form. That will bring possibility to use this form as front end custom post submission.

It’s the perfect Form Plugin for me. I want to write my own form HTML and style it with my own CSS (using Tailwind CSS). It’s just perfect for my use case and works very well for years now.
The only downside is that it uses the admin-ajax.php and not a REST API Endpoint, but it works fine this way, too.

There are a lot of decent form plugins out there. But most of them have pretty noteworthy performance impacts, including needlessly enqueuing jQuery.
With performance metrics becoming more and more important for SEO, a simple form plugin that doesn’t have a huge performance impact is essential.
With HTML Forms, you’ll get everything you need for simple forms: lots of field choices, backend saving of submissions, multiple email notification options, built-in spam protection, and AJAX submission. But it doesn’t enqueue jQuery, and has a teeny tiny performance footprint.
Kudos to the developers for keeping a great balance of features and performance!

Great plugin. Very easy to use and has lots of helpful hooks. Developers are very professional and responsive. It unfortunately looks difficult to add reCaptcha support (perhaps this could be a premium feature?) but I’m going to give WPBruiser a go and see if that helps tackle spam.

I have been using this plugin for several months and I really like it. If you have to deal with many forms, this plugin saves you a lot of time. It is not very complicated to use and does not require much time for learning. Plus, the plugin is integrated with the WPBruiser plugin, which means a very strong anti-spam protection. And it has very good capabilities to extend the default behavior! It is a super useful tool! And even if the plugin works very well, but you need a support, it is offered in a very short time. Thanks a lot! I really appreciate this plugin!

Особенно хочу подметить, что я могу как угодно кастомизировать input, например в Contact Form 7 можно создавать div элементы вокруг input, но нельзя ничего делать с самим input. Плюс у них много дополнительных span элементов ненужных и label принудительно создает, а HTML Forms под любую верстку можно настроить. В общем я действительно очень доволен, спасибо разработчикам! Такой курс и держите!

If you want full control over the look of your form and don’t want drag and drop and a ton of extra scripts loaded. Everything is customizable and for extra functionality like a date picker simply add some script tags at the bottom of the form to the location of the script. For me it was important to be able to style radios and checkboxes with just good markup and css, but no extra libraries or jquery. Also the fact that the preview loads my theme stylesheet is a plus.

Just the features you need, and easy to manage, really enjoy using this plugin. Support has been great. In my mind if forms are a serious part of your WP site these guys are the way to go.
You get full control of your form, better load time than the other form plugins we found, and obviously seamless integration into pages. Great with Gutenberg.
