We have a site as Learning Managment System, i want to secure all uploaded or attached media with IP.only registered user can download media when particular ip will matched.
please help me.
]]>I am getting a fatal error without any other code or information when activating.
I confirmed that mod_rewrite is active on my server.
What could be the fix?
]]>I installed htaccess secure files with no problem and have successfully secured PDF files. I just tried securing some MP3’s, however, and as soon as the files were saved as secure they became a short garbled mess when played. Alternatively, some secured MP3’s simply never load at all. Any idea what might be causing this problem?
]]>Hi,
I was wondering if it’s possible to secure the entire uploads directory in order to be accessed only by logged in members in a multi-site environment? It looks to me as if you have to check every single file?
Thanks
Sascha

]]>Like the poster 3 months back, I too am receiving the “Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.” when I try to activate your plugin. My site is hosted on a Godaddy Linux server that supports mod_rewrite.
Mod_rewrite is an Apache Web server module installed on all of our Linux servers by default; it does not have to be installed or enabled. Our Linux hosting accounts support most mod_rewrite functions.

I need the ability to secure direct access to member only files. Protecting the directory only (Path Access plugin) does nothing to prevent direct access to the files contained in the protected directory. When I saw your plugin I was very hopeful this was a solution for us.
What do I need to do to get this plugin to work? Do I need to create the .htaccess file myself somewhere or modify it manually to get the plugin to activate?

]]>Hi isaacchapman,
i was exited to finally have found a plugin with these abilities.
But actually, its not working.
Just, tried it on a fresh install of wp 3.3.2.
Uninstall of akismet plugin was the only tweak.
So “htaccess secure files” remains the only plugin.
Secured one uploaded file. If done, it is completely protected. Even for admin, although default roles are set.
I can read php, but am unable to give any help to find the error, sorry.
Despite that the redirection is broken as well.
I really would like to see a fix here ??
