Hi
Using the plugin .htaccess Redirect, how do I enter a page from an old site to be redirected to my new site?
This plugin is rather popular, it has the most downloads of all my plugins so far. I am going to make an effort to update this plugin with more information, my development board on Trello, and encourage support and further development, etc.
This work should include:
– Updating the info to be more accurate and more informational on WP.org
– Getting the Trello Development board in the info
– Updating the plugin meta, developer info, etc
– Getting a bitbucket development workflow going for added development possibilities
– Adding documentation areas in Codex
The issue reported by msbree showed that the plugin was crashing in older versions of PHP. This was caused by https://goo.gl/7PzttI (see red), where creating new arrays this way is only possible in PHP 5.3+.
This is just a minor hotfix update.
]]>Hello,
My server was recently updated to PHP 5.3.27, which has caused this plugin to fail to activate! Apparently it’s not compatible with my new version of PHP, according to my server’s tech support.
I am receiving the following error when attempting to activate the plugin:
“Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘[‘ in /home/petzone/public_html/wp-content/plugins/htaccess-redirect/htaccess-redirect.php on line 68″
Any idea if and when your plugin will be updated to support this updated version of PHP?
thank you so much!!!
]]>Can I safely disable this .htaccess plugin and not lose any of the entries I have made in it?
I understand this plugin writes to the .htaccess file directly on the domain…just want to make sure I can disable and even remove, if necessary, without having it affect the live .htaccess file on the server!
Thank you!
]]>This was a great plugin until we updated WordPress to 3.4.1, now continually can’t add new redirects get message:
“One of the fields is not formatted properly. Please make sure and supply properly formatted URL’s. Please do not use realtive paths, please use absolute URL’s, they will be coverted automatically. See tooltips on fields for help.”
But that is not correct. The fields are formatted correctly.
Are you no longer supporting this plugin?
]]>This plugin does not work for me, but it is exactly what I need– I think.
I converted a site from .asp to WordPress.
Your plugin says that my .htaccess file needs to be editable.
Right now, I have Bulletproof Security (BPS) installed- and I am wondering if that plugins protection of my .htaccess file is the problem. Do you know of any conflicts?
If I just decide to uninstall BPS, do you recommend anything particular to make my htaccess editable?
Right now, your plugin is the one I need more than anything- so I’ll disable or enable anything I need right now.
Thank you in advance for your help.
