]]>Hello, I found this plugin at the suggestion of a speaker in a semrush video where I understood that the tag, in addition to indicating to Google which url is for each language, would have the ability to identify the language of the user’s browser and thus show him the content in your language —if it were available— however, this does not happen since our browser is in Spanish and continues to show us the version that we have created in English.
I would like to know how to solve this.

All seems well, but I keep getting these kind of notices
“Notice: Trying to get property ‘ID’ of non-object in /var/www/cms2-preprod.bikmo.com/web/app/plugins/hreflang-tags-for-wordpress/includes/functions.php on line 428”
The same notice on the line 434.
We previously had the free version, and just added the pro version, without uninstalling the free one. Could this be a problem?
Also , we use the latest version of wordpress and php 7.4.11 on the server.
Any ideas?

I have used your HREFLANG Tags Pro plugin for a while now and it works great. I was, however, wondering if there is a way to eliminate the CSS- and JS-requests when not logged in to WordPress so that the client performance improves for our page visitors (they don’t need the JS/CSS, do they?).
Perhaps there is or could be a similar way to achieve this as Contact Form 7 has solved this problem:

May I suggest a little but very helpful new feature:
it would be great if I could set up a list of favourite languages on plugin settings page and when I set up HREFLANG tags on post/pages/etc these would be on top of the lagnguage select list. This would make my work much easier.

After implementing this plugin, I am having few errors that need looking into:
1. For some reason, my German language is not indexable. I am testing it with technicalseo dot com tool.
It has a stop sign and a 301 Moved Permanently status. Under errors, I get – Unretrievable URL (301 Moved Permanently)
2. Under detected Language, it detects English for 3 of the languages, detects nothing for German while for Hindi, nothing detected.
3. Under warnings, I get warned for all 5 languages:
Some state – Missing region-independant link for that language
some state – Detected language does not match specified language
Help needed before google will penalize me

On my product, I add a URL, I click on the + button, the new line appears, then I update the product but after the page is reloaded the line disapear. I got no error message.

I installed PHP 7.3 and received the following “Site Health” issue:
There is the following warning: “Warning: count(): Parameter must be an array or an object that implements Countable in /home/………../………../plugins/hreflang-tags-pro/includes/functions.php on line 333” when under PHP 7.3.
Please advise how to proceed and make it workable under higher PHP version. At the moment I downgraded to 7.1. because of that.
I use the pro version (ticket is opened there one week ago with no reply, which I suppose is because of C-19, I hope not)… if anyone has the same issue and found solution please provide here.

Would it be possible to have this variation added to the plugin? Swahili is the only possible variation I can use, which does not adequately represent this version of our website.

I get a lot of Notices “Undefined variable: href_lang” on Line 324 at /hreflang-tags-by-dcgws/includes/functions.php inside the function add_hreflang_to_category_form.
It seems that $href_lang is never defined inside that function. I think you can remove the if statement because on a new category form there is no predefined language.

I’m using this plugin for creating the hrfelang.
Then with a function and a shortcode, the URL is added as a link in the menu automatically where there is the flag.
Unfortunately, this works well only in posts and pages and not in category pages (taxonomy), the function doesn’t work as it doesn’t find the custom fields. I think because the metabox is not displayed there.
Do you know how can I solve this problem?
