I updated to v1.26 and plugin doesn’t work anymore. After click on an image just “Loading …” icon appears.
In addition, when I enter the options page, survey window appears each time.

Hi! I will ask if it will be possible to make all texts of the plugin translatable with po/mo files, like is the standard for wordpress? Or alternatively maybe a “collection” of texts for various languages?

I tried entering the below in the ‘Custom Highslide Config’ in settings but it stops the ngg/highslide working. You just get the “loading….” on the image thumbnail and nothing opens. Any reason why?

2) Also I’m using the HTML expander using the [highslide][/highslide] tags and works perfect but am I able to remove/disable the resizing of the expander?

As of a couple of days ago, there seems to be an issue with highslide and api.flattr.com. On the backend/dashboard api.flattr.com apparently is not able to connect and keeps any page of the dashboard from fully loading. Also, while the plugin is activated, I’m not able to upload any photos to the media gallery whenever I try to add a new post.

Anyone else having this issue? Would appreciate it if you could take a look and any assistance you can give. Thanks!

You are using NextGen Galley with enabled JS Image effects. With this settings Highslide won`t work in your site. Please go to the NextGEN Config dialogue and set JavaScript Thumbnail Effect to none.

NGG is used somewhere in the network, but not everywhere. Why do I get this warning?

On top of this it tells me that I haven’t the right to access the admin page.

I’m the freakin’ network admin!

Does anybody know how to kill this bug?

Hello!

I want to tweak a plain ol’ WordPress gallery (not NextGEN) so that when you click the image, highslide pops up and lets you click through the rest of the images. It seems like it should be easier.

I did some Google searching and maybe the tutorials are just old (before the WP version of Highslide came around). The advice I found (here) seems really complicated for what I’m trying to do.

I decided, at random, to surround the gallery (in WordPress dash html view) with a div with a class of “highslide”. It almost worked. Now when I click an individual image once, it opens up. Click again, and it’s in highslide. But it doesn’t scroll through to the the next image.

Help! Thanks. I’m thinking it’s something obvious, which just isn’t described in the documentation.

I can use Highslide 4 WordPress *reloaded* to display a single image, no problem.

But how can I do to display 2 or 3 images and show a small gallery?

Is there a way to make it simply with the HTML expander and some easy code? Or do I have to include more complicated Javascript to do this?

I tried to find a tutorial for that, but no success…

When I activated Highslide 4 WordPress “Reloaded”, I could not view the site, not a white screen, but rather a blank screen of the color of the site background. Deactivating the plugin allowed to browse the site once again. Sorry to report this, would very much like to use this plugin.

My blog displays some photo content on the sidebar. Then, when I’m showing a photo gallery on a single post, Highslide loads after all the photos of the gallery the photos which are displayed on the sidebar. How to limit highslide to load only the pictures which are inside a post and not those which are outside of a post (i.e sidebar) ?

This bug appears only under Google Chrome, not in Firefox. When I click on thumbnail to expand the image, the picture is launched under Youtube video. Is there a way to solve this problem ?

Suddenly I am missing overlay buttons when I click an image in Nextgen gallery. The Arrows, Play and so on. The white overlay is shown just not the buttons. Any ideas? Tried uninstalling and reinstalling the plugin but same issue

Would it be possible to restrict the loading of the plugin elements to posts an pages where it is actually used?

The plugin puts (like other plugins) a considerable amount of elements on the front page and across the entire site even if there are no clickable images which is rather unfavourable in terms of low loading times.

My trouble is a page load time of 3.6 seconds (with a Google speed rank of 96). Highslide makes up for a bit more of a second and a half in this.

I have set up Highslide for WordPress using the default settings.

In the plugin Options when I set the “Caption source” to “Image Alt” this works fine and a caption appears underneath the image; but when I set the “Heading source” to either “Image Title” or “Image Alt” no heading is displayed above the image.

Is there another setting that needs to be activated to make Headings appear?

For a couple of weeks now I’m getting a lot of 404s where
/highslide/graphics/zoom.cur/
is attached to the permalink.

I used to have this problem with Thickbox and got rid of it by putting this in functions.php

I used V1.17 previously and automatic updating always got wrong. I had to manually eliminate the oldest version and upload the new one, now it’s working great.

I am experiencing some issues with captions. I am using plugin version Version 1.18 and WP version 3.1.

I’ve tried several options in the plugin configuration (source set to image title) with the following results:

HS Appearance
– Highslide Rounded, white (captions appear in white on white background)
– Plain and Simple (captions appear in white on white background)
– Polaroid outline+shadow (captions appear in white on white background)
– Dark Outer Glow (captions appear in white on gray background )
– Dark borderless, floating caption – caption appears in white over 40% dimmed opacity area outside the image window. But since images are not aligning to center the caption often appears below the bottom of the browser window.
– Dark and glossy – caption appears in white over black background.

Can you tell me how I can change to color of the caption text to a dark gray and center it in the window? I expect this will involve editing the CSS – can you tell me where?

I have a table (using table-reloaded) that I want to show in a highslide popup window. I can make this happen with a text link:

‘[highslide](ECI France Summer Study Programs 2011;Click to see table;640;450)[table id=4 /][/highslide]’

But what I need is the link to be an image (a nice big clickable button). Try as I might I cannot see how to replace the text with the image ref, in a way that works across browsers, gives the hand cursor and most importantly does not get corrupted when switching between WP Visual and HTML views.

Version 1.18 of the plugin doesn’t seem to work with wp-minify as it did before. I could set Highslide reloaded to work only when I excluded highslide.full.js?ver=419v118 from Java minification. Neither do the plugins own minified scripts seem to work. On smmp.de the plugin is only running without any minification which is costing me a few points in Google speed rank.
