Are there any known alternatives to this plugin?
Would need to have the features of this plugin on my site, but the latest version doesn′t work with current version of wordpress/buddypress ??

After installing the hide inactive sites plugin, my websites started to redirect to other websites on my network when I tried to access the admin dashboard.

It also causes conflicts with WPMUDEV’s Pro Site plugin.

Here’s another thread detailing the same issue my network is experiencing.

I wish to use this only as a reminder (once each month) to the members that have not posted to their blog and for the plug-in not make any further changes. These are the settings I have:

How Often to Check? [Daily]
Inactivity Threshold [1 Month]
Inactivity Warning Threshold [1 Day]
Inactive Site Visibility [Do not change]
Site Options (none checked)

So the expected results should be that each blog that does not have a new post within a month will get one warning message each month that it is found to be inactive and nothing else. Correct?

Also I would like to have the option to customise the various messages that this plug-in would use (without modifying the plug-in) as I only wish to send out monthly reminders to visit and post something. I don’t want to threaten them with hiding or shutting down their blog.

I installed this plugin on a network with about 1850 sites, and it seemed to work fine, but then links to blogs started redirecting to others and it seems that this plugin was the cause. Has anyone else experienced this? Developer(s), can this be fixed?

Hi Eric, I was wondering if there was an easy way to stop the warning emails being sent out to each of the site admins.

What I am looking to do is hide the inactive sites but not notify the users.

Is it possible, or is it included, to get a report of inactive sites?

Example, I am limiting site names in order to assign subdomains geographically by zip code. If someone ties up a site name (zip code) and leaves it inactive, I want to know who they are so if they have not responded to their notice within a reasonable time, I can delete the site, freeing up the site name.

take this scenario:

after 180 days of inactivity, the site is set to block search engines and is set to the archived status.

Now the user, gets the notification, emails me saying he wants to continue blogging so I manually unarchive his blog and allow search engines again.

Will this plugin pick it up as inactive again on tis next run? If so, what does the user need to do to stop this from happening, blog one post?

I used your plugin on a localhost to check how it works. I see no changes with any of the option and tried to debug many times. Don’t where the problem is

the plugin sounds great but it could be made so much better ??

a few years ago it still worked perfectly but not any more. I contacted the original author and he isn’t into wordpress anymore as far as I remember or maybe simply not interested in this script.
