I logged in to my site dashboard and there was a large ad for WPUltimaKit.
The product does not have the same name as the Hide Admin Bar Based On User Role plugin in my WordPress plugin dashboard and this made it unclear where this large ad was coming from.
This makes the ad very spammy.
Please fix this in all future releases.
I really do not like that it was unclear where the ad was coming from. There was nothing disclosing the source and I had to look at the code of the page to figure out how this ad was being injected onto my dashboard.
I don’t like ads like this on my dashboard at all. If you are going to make an offer why not put the offer on the admin screen specific to the plugin, rather than on the main WordPress dashboard?
The way it is done is very intrusive and spammy.
]]>Congratulations for the plugin, is very nice, but if a user , for example (subscriber role) add to the URL, the words “wp-admin”, they will have enable the bar again. What we can do to avoid they can see admin bar under all circumstances?
Thanks
]]>I’ve installed the plugin, set to allow editors and authors to see the bar, but only admins can see it. I’ve searched my sites’ files for “show_admin_bar” and nothing comes up. Any help will be appreciated.
]]>Possible to disable the empty frontend css file? Any chance of a UI update to include to disable this? or a snippet?
]]>When I updated this plugin to version 3.6.1, my navigation menu on my shop page displayed incorrectly. It was squished to the left side. Here is a screenshot: https://snipboard.io/lg8xNt.jpg
I rolled back to version 3.6.0 and it fixed my problem. I use Divi Theme, which I used to make my navigation menu. Please fix this issue so I can update your plugin.
]]>Hello, thank you for the great plugin!
What the option of “Hide Admin Bar for All Guests Users” does?
By default guests are not able to see an admin bar.
]]>On updating the plugin today to 3.5.1 we received the following error message from our client. The site does not appear to have any issues, but I wanted to pass this along:
When seeking help with this issue, you may be asked for some of the following information:

Active theme: X – Child Theme (version 1.0.0)
Current plugin: Hide Admin Bar From Front End (version 3.5.1)

I installed the plugin. It works. The WP dashboard says I need to complete activation. I get to the options screen. Fill in my desired check boxes. Save. I see the results, but the option screen stays up. I checked it on Chrome and Edge.
]]>I believe this started happening after the latest update. Now WordPress always thinks it should be showing the admin bar even for public users of the website (not logged in). Calling the is_admin_bar_showing() function always returns true, and applying the ‘show_admin_bar’ filter always returns true for all site visitors.
]]>Here is a video of what is happening when I updated to the latest version.
]]>Hi, any chance to use this plugin in some way for sidebars, too?
Would love to make them also conditionally disappear depending on user role.
Cheers ??
Hi,
thanks for your plugin.
There is a conflict with WcVendors (not Pro) that shows admin bar even with plugin active.
How do you suggest to amend it?
Many thanks,
Giuseppe
]]>Hey,
when the plugin is activated on a multisite, the admin bar for the SuperAdmin is always hidden.
Is there also a selection box for the SuperAdmin?
Thanks and greetings
Daniel`
The plugin failed to work on our site due to conflicts with wp foro (https://wpforo.com/). The admin bar was still showing to users it shouldn’t be. We solved it by making an amendment in WP Foro Dashboard > Forums > Settings > Features Tab. Perhaps you can look at solving this in a new release.
]]>the bar still shows after I activate the plugin and check all user role except the administrator
what I can do?
]]>Hello there,
I installed this plugin and set it to hide the toolbar from guests, but when I go at my homepage in an incognito window I still see the toolbar.
I do not have other plugins to hide the toolbar. Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?
Thanks!
]]>Hello,
I have the problem that the admin bar is always hidden even if I am logged in as Admin. Maybe this is caused by the fact that I am trying to get a multi-site up and running properly.
As soon as I hit the button that the Admin Bar should be hidden for either guest users or for subscribers it vanishes even from admin. When I use the reset-link it appears again for admin and then vanishes again if I hit one of the option.
I would be extremely happy if you could help me out with this.
Thanks a lot,
Hartmut
Hi Ankit,
I can’t adjust any of the settings for Hide Admin Bar. I’ve looked at the screenshots of the setting page, and everything’s there for me except the tickboxes, so I can’t actually do anything. Any idea what could be causing this?
Many thanks,
cornetgeorge
Dear Ankit
I tried the plugin and it worked perfectly but for heavy optimisation reasons I can not have it’s functionality.
Unfortunately after removing the plug-in the requests headers for the code are still being processed.
Can you point me to the place I have to remove them from?
Warm Regards
Raph
Thanks for your great plugin. However, if I unselect the ‘Administrator’ from the hide-roles option, the WP bar is still not shown to administrators.
I am hosting a Dutch website, is the plugin language – dependent?
]]>I have a website that will have subscribers. I am using a membership plug-in. Inside that plug-in is an option to update profile. When the subscriber clicks on it, it routes them to this page https://mystudiovive.com/wp-admin/profile.php, which appears to be a part of the admin. I cannot get rid of the toolbar. I have installed the plug-in, but it is still showing. Is it because it is routing to an admin page?
]]>Hi Ankit,
Thanks for making this plugin. I just downloaded and am giving it a try.
FYI – I tried following you on Twitter from this plugin page, but the Twitter link says “Doesn’t Exist”.
Just thought you may like to know.
]]>I already tried to install the plugin three times but I can’t work with it since the settings do not appear anywhere…
]]>I’ve activated the plugin and specified in the settings that the toolbar should be hidden from logged in Subscribers. When I log in as a subscriber, the toolbar is not hidden.
]]>Some how by mistake I hide admin bar for Admin user,
now after logout I cannot able to login with Admin user
How I can get admin bar for Admin User?
It can hide from anybody who is logged in to wordpress, but it started to show the admin bar to people who are not even registered on the site
]]>Hello!
I found your plugin looking for a lightweight solution to this problem. It works great, except I noticed when my admin user logs out, a blank admin bar still appears. When I open an incognito window, however, there’s no admin bar. It appears only when a logged in user logs out. Ideas?
Emma
