I tried logging in with my facebook, saw that this account wasnt connected to Heatmap. No worries, ill just log out and relog with the correct accoun-…..
“Hello G[name],
This site is using heatmap with a license limited to a single user account.
We are pleased that you like heatmap and want more user accounts ?? please upgrade!”
Ok??!!! HOW do I log OUT? I can’t.
So now I can never use heatmap for some reason because it think im another person, while I just want to log OUT. But I cannot anywhere find a button to log out from it….useless until this is fixed

This was my favorite heatmap tool because it shows the CTR along with the heatmap spots, which is very useful data for me to have…
However, recently the reported CTR on my pages has gone way down, with no logical explanation other than a change/bug in this heatmap plugin…
I emailed support about this and they did not care to reply, which makes me think twice of ever becoming a paying customer. Speaking of which, their only paid plan is $100… For a freaking heatmap tool. I mean cmon, really?
It feels like pricing is completely out of touch with reality. And I would happily pay for it if pricing was reasonable, and the reported CTR was actually accurate, and support cared to actually support their product.
I really liked the tool. Would have given it 4 stars previously (5 stars if pricing was reasonable, so I could actually afford a paid plan). But since it’s not giving me accurate data anymore now, and no reply from support, that’s 2 stars now. Not 1 star because it had good past use for me.

The plugins only insist you buy it, not free.

Installed plugin for wordpress, says ACTIVE, clicked Heatmap web pages and popup says No Heatmap Tag Found’ added code manually into page headers, still no show.
Such a shame, I couldn’t get it to work, I had high hopes, why such a basic fault, same issue as Ecabral commented on 5 months ago! Maybe they have abandoned it? tho it says updated 2 weeks ago, confused!
Off to try Mouseflow or Smartlook

Works as advertised. Can change which pages to monitor on the fly with a free account.

UPDATE: changing the rating from 1 to 3 stars for now as the plugin is now working after Heatmaps Support helped debug this (thanks!). The issue was that I had 3rd party cookies disabled. The plugin is now collecting data as intended. However, I still don’t have enough data, so haven’t been able to appreciate how Heatmaps can help… Hopefully, I’ll change the rating to ***** really soon!

This plugin is simply not working for me… I followed all the installation/set up steps, the plugin status is active, but a) the bookmarklet doesn’t work, b) the Heatmap.me sidebar won’t connect to my Google or FB accounts, and c) pressing Alt+Shift+H doesn’t do anything either. It’s been 8 months since this plugin was updated, so I wonder if this is no longer supported?

The installation was super easy and it quickly started to collect data.
For a free version it is awesome!
It also let’s you export the data to a CSV file.

It was easy to setup, and does what it says it will do.

Hey guys,
Just installed the plugin. Looks cool! Wondering – My site is relatively new, so traffic is sparse. Should I just hit record and let it record for a week to see what my visitors are up to? Can you even do that? Thanks,
Dave

The plugin looks cool but baits you to buy the a license or subscription for x amount of money per month. The author of the plugin should mention this in the description of the plugin. What the basic free version and the payed version has to offer.

The plugin is really advanced for a free, <1.0 version. We run a premium theme with Ajax and constantly changing site design, and the plugin is always matching the heatmap with the current layout, changed positions of buttons etc. – smart. They only have one page of support threads, and all are resolved: That’s how good this plugin is – it just works! A rare exception!
And please, if you do rate low and you got a reply with an explanation or solution, raise your rating. Is is ridiculous to give one star, if the team offers you a free service but has to put it on hold for some days to keep up with the infrastructure.
They even gave me a premium account for free, because we run a non-profit volunteer social movement. That is so kind!

It tells you there’s a free version. When you install it says you need to sign up for an account, that there’s a free option. When you’re about to do it it takes you to this price table that shows the free option unavailable.
Scammy tactic.
[EDIT: looks like this was a temporary issue, and author was kind enough to explain]

Essential to see how well your content is really doing. AND they offer a free premium version for non-profits.
THANK YOU!

I am testing it on [Moderated] to see what benifits this has!

Very impressed. Currently running the free package for a day but if it carries on as it is (I’ve got quite a lot of traffic so can already see click maps) massive win!

Testing it on [moderated] and it look to be a great tool!

Easy setup, takes indeed a few minutes only.
I selected the free plan, and activated it on my blog homepage to see how people click on it.
I like the realtime aspect when I add a new blog post, and promote it on my twitter/facebook: seeing clicks appearing on my page like magic is somehow entertaining!
However, the free plan is a little limited, and the next plan is too pricy for me. An intermediate plan would be interesting (hope they read this)
