Hello, thank you for this great plugin, I started using it and I find it very nice. I have just one issue: I would like the slideshow to appear only in the homepage, but if I select this option in the plugin settlement it appears nowhere.

We’ve used Jetpack to help mobilize our website, but this slideshow plugin seems to conflict with the menu feature. If I have the slideshow activated, the “menu” at the top left of the page (at least on Windows Phone) doesn’t expand and just isn’t accessible. If I disable the header slideshow, I can access the menu. Now, the slideshow is actually too big for the mobile theme, but since the photos were about the right size for me, I was leaving it.
Can you think of a way to either disable the header slideshow when the site is running as jetpack mobile support, or to adjust the layout so that it’s not conflicting with the menu?

I have added an animated header slideshow to my site, but when I add it, the menu disappears, and it does not reappear until I disable the plugin.
]]>I have created my template using artisteer and put the company logo on using the tag header-object. The slideshow appears fine and in the right place but appears over the logo. Do you know a way to make sure my logo stays at the front before the slider. I have tried altering the style sheet to include a z-index but this hasn’t changed anything.

I have recently installed your slideshow plug-in but I am having a few problems getting it to work.
I have modified the ‘header-image-links.xml’ file to the following:-

Now, my client wanted another shot. I have it added as always. But it will appear as a gap. I’ve tried everything. Change the file name, changed the order. I am helpless. It’s probably just a small mistake, but I’m looking now for days. Can you help me there?

Hi, apologies if this issue has already been reported. Also it would seem this plugin is no longer supported, which would be a shame because it does the job quite well.
But after installing it with the Twenty Ten theme, I found that it wasn’t working properly. The relative div containing the slideshow had been placed by the plugin at the end of the footer, which meant that you had an unwanted div taking up empty space at the bottom of the screen, while the slideshow itself, being within an absolute div, was in the correct place at the top, except the rest of the page was simply collapsing underneath it, so the slideshow was covering the page content.
I can only guess that the “header-slideshow” div should have been placed in the header, rather than the footer. In the end I fixed it by removing the “header-slideshow” div altogether from header-slideshow.php and adding some top padding to the theme’s header, so that the absolute div for the slideshow can fit in there nicely. But this is probably not the best solution, is it?
Hi, I’m using HS version 1.1 and WP 3.5 with Notepad theme at https://alfanumerico.net/ and it’s behavior is kind of weird… randomly the images of Header Slideshow appear over the site header (h1 tag, subtitle and even part of the “body” content), but sometimes it shows up well and fine… why’s that?
The odd part is that every other image it works ok then not ok, and repeat like that forever…
I’m margin-topping my page content negatively (about -200px I think) so it sits atop the header slideshow, I also tried poking around with z-indexes but to no avail so far, any hint, guidance or help is appreciated!

]]>First of all I want to thank you for this great plugin. Since september till last week it worked just fine! But now suddenly this week I noticed that the header slideshow disappeared. Since 2 days I’ve been searching for what’s going wrong; I didn’t change anything exept put posts on my website -blog.
The strange thing is that the slideshow still exist because when I go in the main wordpress menu to “customize” and then “header” (this is where you get the screen with on the left side : theme-site title-colors-layout-header image (in my case “no image”) – etc…), I see the slideshow, but when I view the site online I only see empty white space instead of the header slideshow.
Is this due to an upgrade either of my wordpress or header slideshow plugin?

Hi, I’ve used this plugin on many different blogs with no trouble at all, however on the following site https://www.therockingchair.co.uk/blog/ once you navigate away from the main page the header fails to display correctly.
Having searched for a solution all I found was that an upgrade to 1.1 would fix this problem but I am already using 1.1, any help would be greatly appreciated.

]]>We’re considering using the slideshow to provide advertising. How much work would it be to add a hyperlink with specific images? ie, most of our images wouldn’t have them, but we’d have a few images we want to have hyperlinked to another website as a target=”_blank” type of link.

I tried installing Mobile detector and using one of their mobile themes when the user was viewing on a mobile device, but the slideshow keeps running. If you could provide any hints about disabling the slideshow, or running a second version for smaller screens, that would be great!

]]>I want to either have a 2nd slideshow with fewer images on all but the main site, or display a white or black background during image transitions.
My site has a banner photo that shows through when transitioning between photos, and I’m wondering how much work it would be to provide an option once the slideshow is running to have the background pic be a solid color or something so that on the transitions between photos you don’t see a flash of the background photo.
I could just change it to be a blank pic by default and show the slideshow on all the pages, I guess…but I wanted to just have a fixed image on pages & posts.

]]>The header slideshow is working great. However, the plugin is adding empty space below the footer of my page. I’ve noticed that the amount of space added is the same as the height of my header dimensions (i.e. My slideshow is 982 wide X 150 high and there is 150 pixels of space below the footer). Is this a problem that can be resolved in my custom theme, or is this added space common to the plugin?

I’m starting with wordpress. I’ve just installed your plugin but I don’t know what to do or where to go on my administration menu to replace your default images on the slideshow by my own images. I entered on the header slideshow settings, but there I just can find a XML (?) link. Is it necessary to modify the code of my theme in order to put my images on the slideshow?
I’m aware that this is a “beginner’s course” question, but I just don’t know what to do.

]]>At the moment, regardless of the position of the actual slideshow, the plugin adds an empty block to the top of the entire page, which is supposed to be the container of the slideshow. With the settings provided in your plugin, I am able to move the slideshow up and down, but not the container itself.
Is it possible to move the position of the container as well so that it can be placed below the branding of the website in the twentytwelve/twentyten template?

How do I change the location of the <div> itself? Currently, it comes up as the first thing underneath the <body> tag and I’d like it to be able to move it to render underneath my navigation bar instead.
If I modify the position using in Header-Slideshow settings, it just sits on top of content.
