Hi . Great plugin but after upgrade to BuddyPress 12+ there is the following issue
PHP Warning: Use of undefined constant BP_ACTIVITY_SLUG - assumed 'BP_ACTIVITY_SLUG' (this will throw an Error in a future version of PHP) in /home/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/hashbuddy/includes/hashbuddy.php on line 10
Anybody know how to fix it? many tanks in advance

Thanks for the plugin, but doesn’t work atm for my setup.
]]>When I activate hashbuddy and post a link in my bbpress forum linking to a bookmarked link like this: https://www.amblesideonline.org/CM/vol2complete.html#101

]]>Hi,
I’m running everything up to date and using the Flask theme. I’ve switched themes and get the same result.
I have #CreepyDude on two activity posts. When I click one of them I get brought to this url https://smaointe.evrn.net/?s=%23CreepyDude (private installation) where is says “Nothing Found: Sorry, but nothing matched your search terms. Please try again with some different keywords.”
Standard WordPress 404
Is that the correct URL for displaying all posts containing the hashtag?
Any clues what’s going on here?
Thanks
]]>Hi,
very nice and useful plugin!
I wonder if there is a way to enable the # (hashtag) to replies and the profile description to bbPress Profiles?
Thanks
]]>Feature request: Is it possible to include a widget to display a short list of the most popular Hashtags being used?
Or, does anyone know a code snippet of how to display a short list of popular hashtags being used? I can then put this in my sidebar template.
Thanks in advance.

nice work, again! ??
Would it be possible to get the hashtags working in the
bbp-signatures?

in bbp-postings they work great, but I don’t get them working in the signatures.
thx!

All other roles appear to only be able to make one hashtag per Activity Post. More than one hashtag results in an error when trying to post.
Any idea what permission might explain this behavior?

Hi dears,
Thanks for this nice plugin. I just have an issue with Arabic characters’ hashtag. When it’s one word, the hash-tagging works fine but when it’s more than one word it’s not working.
You can try for example: #?????????
And: #???? ?????????
The first one works fine, the second not.
What could the problem be?
Thanks
Hope
Hi, Thanks for this wonderful plugin.
One major show-stopper and really a problem
Unicode characters are not getting hashtagged, for example try #?????
This unicode chars have conjoined words, and I can not get it to work in my settings of WP4.1.1 and BP 2.2.1
Is modemlooper around and supporting this plugin?
Thanks for your help.
Yes, the plugin is working nicely for BP Activity – but at least for me it would be important to be able to provide hashtags within BP Groups. Other words: click on a hashtag should stay within group activity and show tagged activities within that group, specially if it’s a hidden group. We use hidden groups for learning groups and that way it’s not helpful to jump over to public activity.
]]>Hi I installed the plugin and set the tag base to /tag/
The plugin finds the hashtags but it never links to domain.com/tag/thespecifichashtag but always to domain.com/activity/etc
any idea why ? how can i correct from linking to activity ?
]]>Using WP 4.1 and BP 2.1.1. I had to change line 10 in /includes/hashbuddy.php from
$activity_url = trailingslashit( get_bloginfo('url') ) . BP_ACTIVITY_SLUG;
to
$activity_url = trailingslashit( get_bloginfo('url') ) . 'dashboard';
Despite having the activity page set to the “dashboard” page, BP_ACTIVITY_SLUG was reporting “activity”. This seemed to be the only manifestation of an erroneous activity URL so I don’t think it’s a BP bug.
]]>Hi there !
I think there are some conflicts with 4.0 and other plugins.
i have this error message :
Warning: preg_replace() [function.preg-replace]: Unknown modifier '#' in /wp-content/plugins/hashbuddy/includes/hashbuddy.php on line 91
The warning happens with the new release of WP Idea Stream from @imath when we click on the details of an idea.
I’m also checkin the problem on the other side.
Any fix on this issue ?
]]>Any updates on if somebody is working on this?
I’d give it a go myself but I’ve no idea where to start.
]]>Hi there,
Great work on the plugin.
#test in the Buddypress activity stream links to:
“/activity/?s=%23test”
#test in a bbPress topic links to:
“/forum/search/?bbp_search=%23test”
I’ll keep looking for what’s responsible for the bbPress hashtags and make the change myself. In that case I’ll post it here.
]]>Many many thanks for all your efforts with wordpress/buddypress. You are awesome!
So I have noticed that the hashbuddy app reads the # used for color codes in both shortcodes and with tags, such as span tag within the post/page.
I have a temp fix by using color names rather than hex color. For example color=’grey’ rather than color=’#333333′
]]>Whenever I click a hashtag I always get this for the hyperlink, and no hashtag found. (https://benniesandreds.com/activity/?s=%23art)
The plugin was working. Now its doing that. Any thoughts on how to fix?
]]>Hi,
Can you tell me how this works? Installed, activated on BP 1.9 & Buddyboss 3.1.5 but it seems to do nothing? Hashtag text is treated exactly as any other text?
Thanks,
Paul.
This could take some work that I might have to pay for, but your website said to contact you with things other than support. Not sure, so posting here first.
Basically my question is the title. Could the plugin modify WordPress itself to return a search page with all terms from all taxonomies matching the hashtag?
I’m broke for the next two weeks, but I’d sponsor this with what I can to see it as an add-on plugin or available option in the plugin itself. It would make my dreams come true, and there may be others out there who’ll appreciate it.
Thanks

Info:
WP 3.7.1 (not MultiSite)
BP 1.8.1
HashBuddy 1.5.1
Issue:
Linked hashtags produce a “no posts found” message. For example, #test, when clicked on, creates site.com/activity/?s=%23test but without any results.
Any ideas?
