I know this plugin hasn’t been updated in a couple years, but IMHO Groups and its related plugins (like this one) are a hidden gem for WordPress sites. So many people jump to complicated membership plugins when they could do everything they need with Groups. This 404 redirect add-on works like a charm. I’m using it on the latest version of WP 5.x

I was getting redirect loops from non-authorized users trying to access restricted woocommerce pages… installed this plugin and set the option to redirecto the login page… and *BOOM* it works perfectly. Very groovy and simple plugin.

Fast and easy to set up and works as it should. I made a new page saying “You don’t have permission to view this area.” and it redirects the user to that page if they are logged in but don’t have the correct rights to view the content. If the user is not logged in then the link will take the user to WP login page. Works out of the box with WP 4.9

I love the option to select ‘Redirect to the WordPress login’ because when u select this option it will first redirect to WordPress login and then back to the page that the user was trying to visit, whatever that page may have been.

Hi itthinx

What would be really good would be to be able to redirect specific requests to specific pages or posts.
e.g. I am setting up a membership site using woocommerce and woogroups with several membership levels and if a potential customer clicks on a link to a restricted page I would like to be able to redirect them to the relevant subscription product.

Will this be possible ?

This plugin depend on other plugin…u need to install another plugin after install this..

I’ve installed this plug-in, but when I test it in a non-signed in browser (Firefox), I still get the regular 404 error page. I’ve left the post ID field blank so that it will redirect to the home page. Any ideas? WP 3.5.1

As the requests for the ability to provide an alternative to the 404’s thrown when access to a page is denied by Groups, I wrote this plugin for those who would like to redirect the visitor to the WordPress login or a specific page.

I hope you will find it useful too!
