I ave been through the forums and blogs and there is a common issue with the later versions of WP… there seems to be no way to edit an entry in the Gravity Forms database. And it also seems that nobody is chiming in to help people with this problem.
Oh well, what a shame. Uninstall

I’ve been using gravity forms for a while now and it a great way to make forms and set up conditional logic. But I am not happy with their support. They don’t offer a lot solutions and mostly tell you to install a certain plugin to see if there’s some conflicting plugins or the they ask you to turn off all your plugins to find the issue. These are not reasonable solutions for a large multisite or really any site. I struggled for a few months with an upload issue that could have been resolved in a few days. But the support team never directed to me the correct documentation on the api( which I found on my own months later). They simply told me to hire a backend developer (which we had) and assumed that it was a certificate issue(which I made sure it was not). But overall for a paid service I find it unreliable because I do come across random issues that support isn’t able to help me with.

The setting for date format applied via Admin Dashboard is not working properly.
I set it as dd-mm-yyyy but then also it shows mm/dd/yyyy.
Is there any way to fix this?

I’ve been using G-forms as my storefront tool, with payment linked to a PayPal Pro account. It was a bit of a struggle to get these two things connected (not that intuitive on the G-Form end of things) but that part works. What G-Forms does NOT do, however, is push any product data to PayPal. So, on the PayPal side of things, I see that something was purchased by someone on a certain date, but I have no idea WHAT it is!
I’ve invested seven months in trying to resolve the issue. I’ve hired two different high-end coders who can’t find a fix. PayPal is set to receive this information, and the folks at Gravity Forms say that it should be moving over – but it isn’t. This, to me, seems like a bug worth G-Form investing some real time in solving, but that hasn’t happened. It has cost me a great deal of time and money. Now I need to find a new payment solution.

The entries do not appear properly in the WP Dashboard. Submitted a support question and have not heard back for two weeks.
I realize this is a free plugin but this does not motivate me to make a purchase of the pro version.

Easy to use and easily worth the money.

Absolutely love this plugin. It’s been able to deal with every situation and scenario we’ve thrown at it and the support guys have always been helpful in my experience.
The only reason I’ve given 4 out of 5 is the plugin does seem to be contributing to some speed issues we are experiencing with our site. Other than that it’s really quite brilliant.

In this Gravity Form, Directory shortcode didn’t described when we want get fields based on field value like using operator “is”. But the
developer said that it’s Completely shortcode based, using the [directory] shortcode.
I will rate [*****] if the developer give all type of short codes.
Without those shortcodes this plugin not helpful i think.
If any one Know Shortcodes, replay…

Though the plugin itself was not half-bad, but I faced some issues with the payment gateway setup for GF. Well, obviously I tried to contact the support team and faced what was frustratingly slow response. Sometimes, it took them couple of days to just update if they were still assisting me. Though it worked in the end for me, but it was more of a work-around from my mind rather than a clean patched up solution.
So if you are looking for a solution that integrates payment system with forms, GF may not be the best bet.

I did not need a really heavy directory plugin. I just needed a simple table listing that users can update there listings. This plugin did that and more. Very easy to setup and worked great with the Registration add on for Gravity forms. I created my listing form and registration form as one. GREAT JOB!!!
——-Update——-
Edit entry not working for users. Hopefully we can get this fixed soon.

Tried the competitor Ninja Forms at first as they from the outside looked equivalently capable. I needed conditional formatting, calculations and multi-page functionality to build a fairly complex form. After 4 weeks of hair tare with Ninja forms we gave up and permanently deleted Ninja and switched to Gravity forms. Everything all of all sudden became easy. And it actually behaved they way you would expect it to.
After installing Gravity. the same form that took 4 weeks to build (and it didn’t even work then) was now built in 2 days with Gravity forms!
CSS:ing the forms is much easier. Calculations work. Conditional formatting works, and isn’t limited to 1 per page. Gravity simply works!
The only negative thing i can find is when building long multi-page forms they get really long in Gravity forms, as it has everything on one page back end. Ninja forms splits up the different pages back end in a much better way.

Update: Zack has responded fairly quickly to another bug, so hoping that issue below is resolved soon too! Hence an increase my rating. Thanks!
While it’s a clever plugin, I downloaded it to use for a property rental directory. The properties are available from x date to y date, and the data is inputted using a date picker.
These fields cannot render in the search form, so when someone comes to search for the property by date, instead of a date picker they’re given a text field.
This is a problem for obvious reasons (eg. you can write Jan 1 2015 as “1 Jan, 2015″/”1st Jan, 2015″/”Jan 1 2015″/etc) so it doesn’t turn up results.
I’ve posted to the support forum, but don’t seem to be getting any response from the developers – which is a shame, because it might be a silly mistake that I’m making!
It’s a nice plugin but this is a pretty basic bug that needs fixing for it to be fully functional.

Update Sept 2021 – this plugin breaks Gravity Forms currently. Wish this was more stable. No longer recommended.
—
Update Later in 2021 –
Unfortunately it looks like the current version has not kept up with GF core updates, has conflicts with GF core and does not receive support.
—
Update Early 2021 – Appreciating the recent plugin update (yay!), review back to five stars.
—
Update 2019 – No updates or patches to current bugs, support no longer responds to support messages. No longer recommended.
—
Update 9/4/18 – Still a good plugin but support has been waning. Updates are infrequent and reported bugs are not acknowledge/addressed. I purchased the premium version of this plugin (GravityView) and tried to seek help for current bugs but was informed they don’t support this plugin. I understand, it’s a free plugin and there are limited resources. Basically this may not be a good solution to rely on going forward due to the current state of support and development.

This plugin is packed with features and is very handy for displaying entries on the front end. Nicely done!

I was looking for a quick solution to display my form entries. It does the work ?? I just had a problem with entries displaying in a popup and had to code it by myself. Still wondering why…

I have posted several request for basic issues on the support forum and have yet to get a response after a month.
Approvals are what I really need so I can simply show just the approved forms on the directory page. however all the forms seem to be showing. wish someone would respond to my requests. Doesn’t fel like I should have to pay a full $100 for asking the premium support this simple question.

I started using this Plug-in last month to solve a single need, but as I got playing with it, I’ve discovered several uses and am starting to see more. Great plug-in – I’ll definitely donate to keep it going.

I am using this plugin in a crowdfunding website,
where a startup needs to Edit his entry..
After many trial & error,
I found this solution to work!
Users need both this Permissions to Edit the Form actually!

Overall I like this plugin a lot! I think the developer did a great job in the integration and functionality of the addon to Gravity Forms. My only issue is that I personally do not have the styling expertise to make the output information display exactly as I would like. But that doesn’t make it a good plugin to have and use.

I paid for this product and have requested support three times for the same issue with no response. Each time I went through their rather lengthy “request support” form.
Somehow they still manage to email me to remind me that I have 15 days to pay them AGAIN to renew my support for another year. At collecting money they are very efficient.
There are free options that provide better support than this. I wish I had chosen one.

Worked great to easily build a directory of attorneys for my firm.

It goes really far into integrating a form into a directory, but not being able to set a more advanced or granular search killed it for our use case scenario. Hopefully this gets added in future updates!

Gravity Forms is definitely one of the better paid plugins out there that blows the free plugins out of the water. If you receive a lot of form submissions that need to be routed appropriately, this is an excellent solution. The built-in WP forms and other free form plugins simply cannot compete with the robust capabilities that Gravity Forms has to offer. I would give them a 5 Star rating, however they lack an integration with SalesFUSION which will prevent me from renewing my subscription :(. I just couldn’t bring myself to deactivate this plugin without leaving a positive review.

So I spent money on a developer’s license to get a big, big surprise.
(1) You get a one year rental. No, you can’t use the software like you thought. You may not have seen where they have policies. When you find it, you will see that after 1 year your license to use the software expires. You think they would tell you this up front before you buy and make sure you know it.
(2) If you don’t pay up really quickly, as in within 8 weeks of expiration, they will charge you full price to get a renewal. They are so scared you won’t renew that this is another crazy policy.
(3) It’s pretty good at taking in data sometimes but it has glitches and it is extremely mediocre for output.
So unless you want to be a slave and pay them big money every year, you’re better off not integrating this form package and looking elsewhere. Bad policies, bad business. I bought another really hot looking form product, doesn’t purely integrate into WordPress the same way but is so much more powerful and can be used in WP just like anything else.

Doesn’t seem to have any active support. Single entry view outputs malformed code; should be something a plugin developer would jump on when reported. No response after 3 days.
Had high hopes, and it does have some good stuff, but going to have to discard and go another direction due to broken single entry output.
