Hi, does your plugin allow for media gallery or page gallery photo titles and captions to be part of the search results?
If so, is there documetation on how to set up?
Thanks
J
Normally I can pay Google to upgrade a CSE to Site Search and remove ads from the results. However, I would think I would have to enter my Search Engine ID to identify the fact that I’ve paid, but I don’t see any place in this plugin to enter that.
How can this be done?
]]>Hello, plugin stopped working and gives only one result, always the same, no matter the terms searched (!). Site is perfectly indexed by google and runs WP 3.9. Do you have a clue?
]]>Hello
Im in need of a plugin that lets me look up a term-word that is in a comment. I would like that the results of the search would be the comment(s) themselves.
example: search ¨apple¨ will bring the results:
1. (comment)word word word apple word word word
2. (comment)word apple word word
3…
As of now i have not been able to achieve this with your or ay other plugin, wordpress says they are working on it. By any chance you know how can i achieve this, anyone that does, any other plugin that could help me.. or if you could even develope a plugin that could do this, please let me know. Hey, is it possible to take advantage of the google auto compelete as well ? or I need to write my own autocomplete sript.
Thanks
]]>The title of the results page, is: “glce | Search Results | site”
How can i edit that?
i would like to include the custom search engine id that looks like 007446502777775807739:l0etw9ugv90.
Other plugins have that ability, but i can not find a field for that in your plugin.
]]>Hi,
I have a WP site that has a lot of useful Q&A’s for my viewers to read and learn from. The standard WP search does not find any of the terms that I search for and that are only used in the comments.
Does your Google Custom Search search comments? It is not obvious in the documentation. How does it affect ranking?
If it does work that way that would be Excellent ??
Thanks.

A suggestion to improve the usability of the plugin: keep the searched text in search text box when viewing search results.
Here’s a very simple code snippet to obtain that:
<input type="text" name="q" size="31" value="<?php echo isset($_GET['q'])? urldecode($_GET['q']) : ''; ?>" />
I really like the idea and the simplicity of this plugin, but it lacks of customization possibilities.
I miss the presence of options (either in a settings page or directly inside the widget) for the following:
Thanks.
]]>Hi there,
I found an issue when using this plugin in conjunction with a theme based on Genesis Framework. In Search results page, the featured image of the first post of the blog appears just before the search results. This happens because the framework uses a hook to put the featured image in the main loop, and the code used by your plugin to “fake” the request does not prevent it. I think that the seed_glcse_hook_search_results
function should be adjusted to better handle such situations.
Thank you.
Hi;
I have the 404 error on any search:

]]>I’ve not been able to get the Google Search Widget to show up on the widgets panel. I am running a child theme of Genesis 1.9.1 on WP 3.5.
]]>Is there a way to modify your plugin to at least show the ads linked to my adsense pub id?
]]>Hi!
Noobie here, just warning you. Not a big coder, just trying to build a usable site for some friends who run a small non-profit library.
I ran into a problem with your wonderful plugin and I’m wondering if you might know why.
First of all, love your plugin, great work!
But above the search results, I’m getting a strange message:
“Search Results for ‘glcse’”
No matter what I search for on the site, that always shows up.
I see that phrase ‘glcse’ all through the code for your plugin, but I’m sure it’s not supposed to be showing up on the public side of things.
The search functions perfectly, this text seems to not be interfering with the search functionality, but it’s odd.
Do you have any idea why that would be happening, or/and how I could get rid of it?
I’m using WordPress 3.0
Arras theme 1.4.3.1
…and you can go to the site to run a search yourself to see it happen:
prs.org
By the way, I can’t put the Google search box widget at the top of the right sidebar like I would wish to, because, unlike all other widgets I place there, doing so makes it run across the entire page, from left to right, so I’ve had to place it at the bottom of the page.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your time!
