Hey looks like this plugin (V1.0) hasn’t been updated in a while. It’s causing a few of my other plugins to stop working and when debug is turned on it spits out:
“Notice: Trying to get property of non-object in xx/xx/xx/wp-content/plugins/google-authorship-widget/google-authorship-widget.php on line 25 “
I’ve commented out lines 25-27 which seems to make things work normally again – don’t have time to look any deeper right now, but wanted to put this out there.
Thanks!
kevin

Thanks so much.

]]>I am getting messages in my bing webmaster tools that my images are missing the image alt description.
The funny thing is I double checked and they all have alt tags.
I use the authorship widet and that photo does not have the alt tag so I think that is what might be triggering the errors.
Is there a way to add the description for the image?

executes on every page of website …. presumably you only need it on widget setup?
$theme->options['widgets_options']['GA_Bio'] = is_array($theme->options['widgets_options']['GA_Bio'])
? array_merge($Google_Authorship_defaults, $theme->options['widgets_options']['GA_Bio'])
: $Google_Authorship_defaults;

]]>Great concept, but unfinished.
The display does not use the secondary text style to match other subtitle / heading fonts in a theme, and the +Name (e.g., “+Andrew” lable is in a body-text font style, large sized, and bold.
Looks graphically bad.
Also, needs a “Title” field, that is optional, to allow the user to say “About Me”, or another string, like “My Background”, or “My Bio” which users will want to customize.
Picture lable should suggest to use the user’s “Gravatar”…
I had to turn it off. Post an email address, and I’ll send a screen shot of the design issues.

]]>My quick question is:
Is it working if you are having a multi-author blog?
You should be able, per post to give a relation to the author widget that as the relation with G+
