It seems the latest version of the plugin no longer supports the latest version of WordPress. Is this plugin still maintained?
]]>]]>Hello there,
could you please help us with a problem with automatic redirection and automatic login through this great plugin? If “Automatically redirect to Google from login page” is checked, the Google error page “Access blocked: authorisation error” appears. Sometimes the error is “Missing required parameter: redirect_uri”, sometimes “Missing required parameter: client_id”, sometimes “Missing required parameter: scope”. In all cases the error detail is “Error 400: invalid_request”.
If I uncheck “Automatically redirect to Google from login page”, I have to click on the “Sign in with Google” button, but the login is immediate after pressing the button.
This used to work normally. Do you think there might be a problem after some update? A collision with some other plugin? Many thanks for your help.
Have a great day.
Ale?
The Login with Google button option appears fine on the normal login screen however if I load the WordPress Login form using a shortcode that calls wp_login_form() the Login with Google button does not appear. How can I get the Login with Google button to appear when I use wp_login_form()?
]]>After updating the plugin to 3.4.5 on December 1, /wp-admin and /wp-login.php started redirecting in an endless loop in all browsers, eventually landing on an error message that the website is redirecting improperly or too many times. I’ve rolled back to 3.4.4 to stop the behavior.
Is there a setting or configuration that needs to be changed for the latest update?

]]>Version 3.4.5 keeps redirecting to /wp-admin … dozens of times until Chrome gives up. When I put the 3.4.4 version back in it works without any problems.
Also why is this plugin not tested up to the latest (6.1.1) wordpress version ?
]]>We have applied for the enterprise, paid version of this plugin, along with Google Drive Embedder in 2016.
At that time the company was run by Mr. Dan Lester, the plugins creator. Recently the company was sold to Lionsher, and since we’re facing some issues (getting alerts when non-domain users attempt to SSO), we struggled to get help from the company.
After one month time and dozens emails, the issue has not been addressed at all, therefore, we were forced to remove SSO for non domain users and our customers could not be more unhappy for this.
I strongly suggest to not rely on this plugin, since it is not supported at all. I will be happy to update this post if the issues are fixed, but till then, my advise is to STAY AWAY.
]]>hi –
i have followed instructions here: https://wp-glogin.com/docs/google-apps-login/configuration/setup-all-versions/
for some reason, when attempting to login to my wordpress site, it asks for permission to use drive and calendar APIs even when they were not enabled. would you know why? might be related.
also, it fails upon login, simply returns to login screen.
please advise. thanks, stef

I successfull change it and i am able to login but every time i use the google buttom, after login i am redirected to the wp-login.php page that doesn’t exists.
Is there a way to change the redirect in your plugin? than you in advance
]]>Firstly this plugin is awesome! I’ve got it working. But I’ve noticed that if I use the login page a few times it returns a 401 error. I don’t believe this appeared before the plugin was installed. I use iThemes Security Pro and host on ventraip. I’m not able to find any ip blocking associated with this error – assuming it’s being oversensitive with this plugin to brute force attack. Any thoughts would be much appreciated.

]]>The wordpress_google_apps_login
cookie appears to be set (if not already) in the response for any page when Google Apps Login is active. This prevents caching from happening downstream. Nginx’s FastCGI, for example, does not cache any response with a set-cookie header. This behavior also affects public REST endpoints.
Could you limit the scope of pages where the cookie is set to authentication pages?
]]>Hello,
I have multiple websites that use your plugin for login. It’s on a multisite wordpress installation. All of the websites admin are no more accessible.
I tried to rename your plugin folder to reveal the normal login form but nothing works. Everything is hidden. Could you help me please and indicate what I can do on the server to have access to the normal wordpress login form ?
Thanks a lot

Dear Team,
Thank You for developing wonderful plugin for the WordPress. The plugin working is amazing. We are using your plugin from past 1 year. But we only noticed the issue to redirect the login page into WordPress dashboard. Once any customer tried to login will take more time to open the WordPress dashboard. If you are providing a better solution will helpful us for executing this functionality more user experience.
Thank you so much.
I install the plugin, did what i have to do in the Google Developer Console, But i just cant login with google account.
When i try to login (without registration first) it say:
“User [email protected] not registered in WordPress”
See image below:

]]>We recently migrated all our WordPress sites from WP Engine to Pantheon. This plugin has been working flawlessly on WP Engine for several years. However, we’re now having trouble on Pantheon.
We have several pages on identity.stanford.edu that are marked Private, meaning users have to log in to be able to see the content. So whenever a user tries to view one of these pages, e.g. https://identity.stanford.edu/brand/best-practices/ , they’re redirected to the login screen, which is automatically redirected to Google Login. Once they’re logged in, they should be redirected back to the page they were trying to view. That happened fine when the site was hosted on WP Engine. However, now that the site’s hosted on Pantheon, they do not get redirected back to the page they were trying to view; instead, they get left in the dashboard.
On WP Engine, the login url looked something like
https://suidentity.wpengine.com/wp-login.php?redirect_to=https%3A%2F%2Fsuidentity.wpengine.com%2F%3Fpage_id%3D1280&lh_private_content_login-login_required=true
. Note the human-readable url in the redirect_to
variable.
On Pantheon, the login url looks like
https://identity.stanford.edu/wp-login.php?redirect_to=https%3A%2F%2Fappserver-c7301af6-nginx-61980fe1bb2f42d698c6ef4beada30fd%3A14951%2F%3Fpage_id%3D1280&lh_private_content_login-login_required=true
. Note the appserver…nginx…gibberish in the redirect_to
variable.
We opened a ticket with Pantheon support, and they said
I did some digging and I think I found where the issue is coming from. If you look at line 489 of
wp-content/plugins/googleappslogin-premium/core/core_google_apps_login.php
it says$statevars = explode(‘|’, urldecode($_REQUEST[‘state’]));
.My guess is that it’s reading the environment’s appserver, not the site URL.
One solution may be to override the redirect. Looking at the stack trace, we have something like:
add_filter(‘login_redirect’, array($this, ‘ga_login_redirect’), 5, 3 ) ga_login_redirect() getFinalRedirect() setFinalRedirect() ga_authenticate() // This is where the redirect is set on line 489
Adding your own filter that doesn’t rely on$_REQUEST[‘state’]
should generate the proper URL.
Apparently $_REQUEST[‘state’]
is not set to the canonical url on Pantheon’s servers. They suggest maybe using $_SERVER[‘HTTP_HOST‘]
.
I can dig into this and write a filter as they suggest. But I wonder if you’ve run into this problem with sites hosted on Pantheon, and maybe you already have a solution in place? Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Set-Cookie wordpress_google_apps_login=a1a965d4f3379b9199efb43bcfa4278c; path=/; secure; HttpOnly
Set-Cookie There is no Cookie Prefix on this cookie. This is not a SameSite Cookie.
