Hi,
We already have G4 installed on a site and wish to continue using the html code we have.
However, I would love to be able to use Monster Insights to view our stats.
Is it possible to use Monster Insights to analyze our data without the plugin installing G4 on our site, because that will cause duplicate code and we want to keep the code we currently have.
Thanks,
Chris
]]>Hello,
I installed the plugin “google analytics for wordpress”
And in the browser console I get this error:
Uncaught SyntaxError: Cannot use import statement outside a module (at frontend.min.js?ver=9.2.1:1:1)

What can I do to fix it?

]]>Dear all, when trying to install the premium plugin it generates an error and I do not have access to the administrative part of the wordpress site, the site continues to work normally, but generates the error. Hi there,
I’m having trouble translating the plugin in French. I went to the plugin’s translation repo, downloaded .po and .mo files and added them to /wp-content/languages/plugins using the pro plugin’s folder name with .po and .mo at the end (google-analytics-premium.po / .mo).
Nothing changed, so I decided to go in the plugin folder > languages and downloaded the .pot file. I made changes in it, and did the same. Nothing changed.
I’m used to translate plugins, but this time I’m stuck.
Thanks for your help.

]]>Hello,
Thank you for the plugin, I have been using this one for 7 years now without any issues. But after the latest update, I got an automated message from WordPress that my site is facing a technical issue and they have caught an error with this plugin.
The error reported was “Error message: Uncaught Error: Call to undefined function..”. I could not get much help from my host as they said it was a plugin issue.
Also when I tried to access the insights from the dashboard, I got the message stating that it appears that Javascript did not load with the following error message and I was asked to contact Monster Insights support.
“Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read properties of undefined(reading ‘Post’)
As of now, the frontend of my website is working fine. Also, am able to access the analytics report on the analytics app as well as on the analytics website. The issue is with accessing the pages at the backend. Though the content is there (as I can see the number of words in the page at the bottom) the pages appear blank, and I am not able to place my curzor on the page, thereby not letting me edit a page or create a new page.
Its been 3 days now, and everyday I am getting the same error message from WordPress. I haven’t operated my website during this time. Kindly guide me on what needs to be done to rectify this error.
Thanks & regards,

Hi!
After installing the plugin and activating it, every time I edit and save a post or page, the plugin sends the following error:
image: https://ibb.co/6r78qXv
Program execution error! (Error:500)
The program is not executable!
Possible causes of the error
Webmaster info
The correct setting for run permissions is always chmod 711 or chmod 755
My webmaster checked the setting but the error comes from the plugin not fro mserver or wordpress.
We use PHP 7.4!
Hope you have a good idea:)
Thanks,
Adam R.
]]>I’m confused
in the plugin description, I can read:
Ecommerce Report?shows you important store stats like total revenue, conversion rate, average order value, top referral sources, and more (all in one place).
But After installed and configured it looks like for “eCommerce” tracking you need to buy the pro version.
But in the description, the eCommerce feature is not listed under a “Pro version” title.
Hello,
I have a crowded admin toolbar and I’d like to remove Insights but can find no settings to do so.
How can I remove it?
Thank you.

I have on my site several pages with brochures or documents of a few pages that can be viewed online or downloaded.
I noticed that the Flipbooks do not even appear.
Ever since upgrading the version 9.1.0 of the plugin, my PHP Error log is filling up with these lines:

I am running WP 6.6.2 with all other plugins and the Twenty Twelve theme updated. So there’s some setting I need to change or some issue with this version of the plugin.

As soon as we turn off monster insights the bug is gone.
If you need more info or screenshots please let me know!
Thanks and looking forward to a fast bug fix.
We are currently using V9.1.0 but the bug was already there V9.0.1
Also I think it would be great if you do not mark support tickets as solved while the bug is still out there!!!!

I tried adding a filter that was suggested in this topic, but it doesn’t work. It still loads in an async manner. Also, is there a filter to add fetchpriority=low

]]>We noticed that GA4 stopped reporting UTM variables around February, we’re guessing this happened with version 8.24?
Any URL that has a UTM parameter, was being stripped out when the page_view call was sent to GA4 (verified with the GA4 debugger tool). We disabled all other plugins on the site and it still did the same thing.
We rolled back to version 8.23.1 and tested again and the UTM variables were being correctly passed to the GA4 (verified via the GA4 debugger tool).
Are we missing a setting that we need to turn on for this? Or is there some other thing that is causing this to not work?
We’re turning off automatic updates for this for now (which we’ve never had issues with) and see what we can do going forward for this
Thank you!

]]>Hi,
I maintain Merge Minify Refresh and I’ve noticed MonsterInsights doesn’t work with it due to the way it is enqueuing the scripts. MonsterInsights currently uses a filter (script_loader_tag) to add type=”module” to specific scripts. Is it possible to update MonsterInsights to use wp_enqueue_script_module instead? We should then be able to handle these specific scripts.
Thanks.

]]>Hi guys,
I noticed that after upgrading WP to the latest stable version 6.6, my GA4 Pageviews are not being updated as much/well as it did before the upgrade. I noticed that the latest version of MI plugin was validated up to WP 6.5.5.
Could this be why my GA4 Pageviews are affected?
When will the plugin work well with WP 6.6?
Thanks in advance.
(((Hi, I read the pinned post about how to get support for the Lite version of the plugin but I think it’s outdated as the link for lite support just brings me back here. So I’ll post this hoping someone at MI will see it.)))
Anyway, in the event advice is given here, we are using Termageddon + Usercentrics and their support asked us if we could add type=”text/javascript” to our Google Analytics code, saying:
“within your Google Analytics embed code, just after “<script “, can you add the following: type=”text/javascript”? This will help ensure that particular script is more automatically controlled by Usercentrics”
Is there any way to do this, or if not, can that be added for a future release?
Thanks for any assistance.
]]>I am now getting two issues when using this plugin, that I did not have until several days ago. We have used the plugin for a few years now, with no issues beforehand.
Under the WP Site Health Panel, I am getting the following message:
“MonsterInsights has automatically detected an issue with your tracking setup.
We noticed you’re using a caching plugin or caching from your hosting provider.?Be sure to clear the cache to ensure the tracking appears on all pages and posts.?(See this guide on how to clear cache).”
We do not use a cache on our site, however the host does use a server cache.
However, even after asking them to clear that, the issues persists. Not to mention, this error only came up in the last several days, so either the Site Health Panel is giving out false positives, or Monster itself is.
The more worrisome issue is that I cannot deactivate the plugin, without it messing up the WP backend. When it is deactivated, the entire backend sidebar totally vanishes. I have to reactivate it to get the sidebar back.
I would normally just go ahead and delete the plugin via FTP, but I am worried that it might make it impossible to get the backend sidebar back unless the plugin is reinstalled. So, it is a bit of a Catch-22.
Is anyone having this issue, especially the latter one?
