When trying to install this plugin, I am getting this error:
Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Call to undefined function create_function() in /home2/tvjihjmy/public_html/wp-content/plugins/getyourguide-widget/getyourguide-widget.php:60 Stack trace: #0 /home2/tvjihjmy/public_html/wp-admin/includes/plugin.php(2318): include_once() #1 /home2/tvjihjmy/public_html/wp-admin/plugins.php(192): plugin_sandbox_scrape(‘getyourguide-wi…’) #2 {main} thrown in?/home2/tvjihjmy/public_html/wp-content/plugins/getyourguide-widget/getyourguide-widget.php?on line?60
Head tags don’t seem to be working either.
Hi,
I make compatible the plugin with PHP +8 and WordPress 6.1.1, unfortunately, I haven’t permission to commit the codes as contributors in the plugin’s SVN. So just make a PR on the mirror version in GitHub.
You can easily download the fixed version by following link:
v 1.3.11,

Hi,
Do you no longer support the plugin? Last update is 1 year ago and WordPress released several new releases.
Unfortunately, this plugin uses create_function() which is no longer supported on PHP8.0+. Please consider removing this.
Hello everyone,
checking the GDPR compliance of my site I realized that since the installation of the GetYourGuide (GYG) wordpress plugin, whenever a visitor comes to my page, a getyourguide.com cookie with the visitor ID is set.
This happens also when there is no GYG widget on the visited page – like on my homepage. I think it is coming from this script:

and the script is being called from the plugin, then when I deactivate the plugin, there is no script anymore.
You can find a screenshot here.
I would like to have the possibility to restrict the script only to the pages where there is indeed the widget, as I am not sure that having a visitor ID without any need – for example when only the home is visited – is GDPR compliant.
Thank you in advance,
Claudio

Is possible remove the line list Free Cancellation, Stay safe during Covid-19 and Best price guarantee ?

Hey Guys,
since PHP 7.2, create_function has been deprecated and since PHP 8.0 this function has been removed.
I changed Line 60 in getyourguide-widget.php to:
add_action( 'widgets_init', 'GetYourGuide_Widget' );
function GetYourGuide_Widget() {
register_widget( 'GetYourGuide_Widget' );
}
and so I can install the Plugin.
Unfortunately, the blocks and widgets still bring errors to Gutenberg.
The currency and language settings are not output either, but are saved.
Do you plan to fix this?
Hello,
looking here: https://imgur.com/SLA6S8K
is this kind of widget shipped with your plugin?
Thx.

Hey plugin is making this error please fix it so we can keep using the plugin thanks.
Hi,
THis plugin caused the following error:
function WP_Widget::widget() must be overridden in a subclass
Now I cannot use the plugin any longer. Any suggestions for solutions?
Thanks
Tanja
So I installed this plug-in yesterday and my nav menu drop-downs stopped working. Deactivated it and they work again. Any thoughts for resolving this conflict?
Also, i tried using the widget on a few blog pages and sometimes it makes the page shake non-stop, both in draft and live. can I fix that?
Also, will you be updating to work with the latest wordpress?
If I leave the plugin activated, the plugin kills social sharing in Firefox, IE, and Safari. It seems to work fine in Chrome. Deactivating the plugin allows the social sharing to work okay and keeps the GYG blocks that were installed (hopefully with the proper affiliate IDs).
This seemed great, but this needs desperately to be updated. I have a lot of additional posts I would like to but GYG blocks into, but how can I be sure I am still getting credit for the business I am sending when the plugin is (necessarily) deactivated?
I just learned about the plugin and installed Version 1.2.3. I’m using Version 4.9.6 of WordPress.
I added the GYG widget to the “after post” widget area in my Studiopress theme. I want to be able to have a generic global setting like “walking tour” and then I intend to override that on individual posts that are destination specific.
The tours are appearing where they should, however in the example URL I provided for a Florence article, the tours showing up on the page are for London, not Florence, which is the query I added in the Post Editor so that the results are specific to the article. Please advise.

Thanks!
Hi,
I would like to list all activities for a city (for example Amsterdam) how do I do that? I can only do about maximum of 20. Is there a way to do this?
I notice the Plugin has not been updated for 12 months and seems not to work with the latest versions of WordPress.
Is “Get Your Guide” still active?

Hello,
Many thanks for the fantastic plugin.
But, are you thinking of improving it? it would be fantastic if you include a query by tour id.
