Although the ACF Date Picker field is configured to output the date in a specific format (F j, Y), when it’s included in a sidebar widget the field value displays as Ymd (YYYYMMDD). Is this a bug? Shouldn’t it deliver/display the ACF field value according to that field’s formatting setup?

I have made an update from my theme the7 with the “WPBakery Page Builder”. if the plugin “Get Custom Field Values” is activated, the Pagebuilder don’t work. If i deactivate it, the builder works. i think they are nor compatible.
I’ve tried a standard theme “Twentynineteen” and theres the same problem.
How can i solve that.

As I had not used the plugin I deactivated, intending to uninstall and all my shortcodes from FooEvents stopped working – and there are a lot of them.
I tested this a couple of times and the problem repeated.
Maybe it is a conflict with FooEvents Custom Attendee Fields?

It’s great to see an update for the plugin! However, not so great is that on all the sites I’ve tested it on it’s causing http 500 errors whenever a page/post is loaded for editing!
Rolling back to 3.8 and everything is fine.
The WP installs are 4.9.x versions running on PHP 7.0 – 7.3.

How do I show a list of all custom fields and their values?

But, when I use it, I cannot get it to generate a new line, or locate below an image I have installed in a div with a right float.
I have tried using both <br /> and <p>. Neither one has any effect. The values retireved, and the text before and after are all there, but I cannot format to get a new line.

In order to retrieve a value in a widget area from ‘this post’, I’ve had to place a [custom_field] shortcode in a in a text widget with this_post=’1′. Am I missing a setting on the widget that does the same thing as the ‘this post’ parameter in the shortcode? Thanks in advance for any help.
]]>Trying to display 2 “checkbox” label values. If only one of the checkbox’s is selected the output looks fine, but if both checkbox’s have been selected the results I get include the serialized data which is part of the string, seen here;

]]>I figured I’d let you know that its not working for gantry 4 powered themes (tried it with the default wordpress themes and worked perfectly). Im not sure exactly why, but considering gantry is somewhat popular, this may be something you want to know about. I personally dont have much time for this design project so I had to go with a different plugin (Custom Content Shortcode) which works. Sorry I couldnt help further!

I am a big user of this plugin and a huge fan. It has allowed me to make my site very dynamic without a lot of code knowledge.
I have some fields that require quotes (URLs), and I have previously referenced this post to make everything work right. I use this extensively for displaying HTTP URLs.
Something has updated in WordPress, or this plugin recently to break all of that.
Now all of my fields with quotes get garbled. Here is one of the shortcodes i use that is now broken….

]]>When I installed Get Custom Field values, the Builder by Themify breaks. The column menus stay popped down and there’s no way to switch between TEXT and VISUAL in the editor.
I’m looking for a way to list the values of a custom field and link them to the posts where they have been chosen. The goal is a a directory showing the number of posts for each “organization” tied to a post and then to link to those posts. Having a list of post titles as an intermediate page (with links to the post) would be good too.

Hello, friend.
We’ve been using this plugin for a testing environment, and we don’t need it anymore. It was when we uninstalled this plugin that we found out that every post that had a [custom-field] shortcode in it crashed. More specifically, “the_content()” function was returning null. The worst part is that it still returns null even if we delete the shortcode. However, if we reinstall the plugin, everything works again, despite the fact that we’re not using any shortcode or function related to the plugin anywhere on the site.
What changes did this plugin do to the posts exactly? How do I undo them? Please understand that re-creating the posts is not a solution, as I have lots of them.
By the way, the plugin is great and it serves its purpose perfectly well. I really like it and recommended for many unexperienced users.
But right now, I need the plugin uninstalled and am forced to keep it for no reason, Please help!

]]>Hi, I like this plugin in theory however it is not working for me as I would expect it to.
I have put the widget on a page template (say page template 5, for example) and set it up to show the value of the gallery-image custom field and to show nothing if there is no value for that.
I then go to a page that is using the page 5 template and put some code to display an image that links to a specific page in the custom field for the gallery-image custom field, hit publish.
No problems as I go to the page and get the result I am after, EXCEPT, now every page that uses the page 5 template is showing the code I put in for the other page even though the pages have no value set themselves.
