I have never been able to find a way of doing this ever since the demise of this plugin. Has anyone else found any ways off bringing youtube comments into WordPress?
]]>No longer pulling Youtube comments since around August.
Hope this is fixes soon as it’s a 5* plugin
]]>It appears that YouTube changed something, causing this plugin to stop working. Even manually updating the comments via the plugin’s settings screen leads to nothing but.. “Recently Inserted Comments: None Inserted on 19 Oct 7:47pm”.
I have really enjoyed this plugin for quite some time now. ??
]]>Hi,
is it somehow possible to pull also the anwers from the comments? Now it only pulls the comments but if I answer to someone my answer will not transfer..
]]>Hi,
I just downloaded the plugin. In the description it says that it’s compatible the the latest version but it’s not. I can’t see “Custom Fields” section in Post Editing.
]]>Hello,
Firstly, thanks for taking the time to develop such a great plugin.
I was wondering whether you could help me with an error message I am receiving:

Each YouTube Video has six sections under the Video.
About, Share, Add To, Transcript, Statistics, and Flag.
I am already pulling in the Comments.
Now I want to pull in the ‘About Section’ which contains everything the video author wrote about the video under the video and title.
Is there anybody out there that has any idea how to do that?
I have tried many places but nobody even understands what I’m talking about.
Maybe there is no one out there who can answer this question?
I guess it must be very difficult to do, although I wouldn’t think so.
Thanks,
chrisjackson

]]>I love the idea of this plugin but when I tested it out I found that it wouldn’t work with Disqus which is what I have for my comments system.
Is there anyway to make the two work together?
Many thanks

]]>Hi everyone,
This plugin is having some hard time with the new YouTube layout. All my comments have been duplicated, I tried to do a manual update and now they are even tripled!
I think a quick update should be necessary, here are my suggestions :
1- Add a button to delete all comments added by the plugin (to clear everything, shouldn’t be hard since all comments start by [..YouTube..])
2- Add a routine to avoid duplicated comments. After some research, here is something I found : https://stackoverflow.com/questions/6802996/mysql-query-to-delete-duplicate-wordpress-comments
If this upgrade is not rapidly put in place, I will have no other choice but to remove the plugin, which is making me sad because I really love that feature (most of my activities are based on YouTube).
Thank you for considering this message!
Sincerely,
BBC

]]>I have 1 specific comment that gets imported over and over every time the plugin does a grab from You Tube. It has to be related to the punctuation or the text. I’ll explain.
Here’s the link to follow along: https://www.gotprep.com/2011/11/82-walking-dead-and-mob-mentality/
Got a comment on YouTube from redknight808. I noticed that there were a ton of copies of the same comment getting imported to my WP site. I went on You Tube, deleted the comment, deleted the extra copies on the WP site, and reposted the comment under my name. It didn’t help. It’s still getting imported, but under my name.
Here’s the text of the comment:
Great commentary, sir!I’ve long held that the anonymity of the Internet is a clear lens into the mind of the individual. Whatever sick, twisted, mean, heartless parts people have within themselves are revealed here. True, people who are intimidated by? ROL will? not be individually strong in a WROL, but they will be the ideal dog soldiers of vicious sociopaths. In numbers, such people will become monsters, and WILL be truly terrifying.
What is in that comment that is killing the plugin?
Thanks for the help!
Josh

]]>The demos I’ve seen of this plugin look great! But I can not get it working. ??
I’m running WP 3.2.1 with Buddypress 1.5 and multiblogs turned on. I’ve checked with my host and their settings match the plugin requirements.
I’ve followed the step by step set up, added the custom field “youtubevidid” to a post and the video code.
If I go to the youtube comments admin and set it for hourly updates and save it says the settings have been updated. But they never import anything.
If I click on the manual update, the page refreashes but at the bottom instead of showing the comments importing it’s a blank white area. Also the buddypress bar at the top of the screen goes white.
If I leave that screen OR click on the save options for the automatic update the bar comes back.
I’m guessing it’s a script error some where? But I don’t know enough about this to fix it with out help.
Even so I’m surprised that the automatic updates aren’t working when that seems to save ok.
I’ve tried deactivating most of my plugins and it didn’t help. I also temporarily deactivated buddypress and that didn’t help either.
I have it set to only be activated on my main blog, but I also tried turning on network activation it made no change either.
Has anyone else run into this problem or know how to fix it?

]]>Plugin works great. Was wondering instead of the URL of the username going to the commenter’s channel, is there a way to make it lead back to the video the original comment was left on?
Here is the original code:
$comment_author_url = 'https://www.youtube.com/profile?user=' . $ytvideo->AUTHOR[0]->NAME[0]->_text;
