I’m unable to overwrite the .gwfoot-footer-one-one-third rule since the gwfoot-styles are loaded after the theme css. Any solution?
]]>Hi.
I’m using a modified version of the metro-pro theme.
Within this them there is a page_landing.php which I have duplicated to create page_landing_full_width.php. All works perfectly.
However, I also have the Genesis Widgetized Footer plugin running with a text widget added to Footer Area #1. Interestingly this footer widget does not appear in page_landing.php, but it does appear in page_landing_full_width.php despite these 2 pages being identical in code except for a differing class at the top.
Note, if I do change the class to be identical, the issue persists. But if I change the name of one of the new files to the original name, page_landing.php, the footer disappears.
I have looked into the plugin’s code and found this inside gwfoot-frontend.php:
`if ( GWFOOT_REMOVE_LANDING_FOOTER
&& ( is_page_template( ‘page_landing.php’ )
|| is_page_template( ‘page-landing.php’ )
|| is_page_template( ‘landing.php’ )
|| is_page_template( ‘template-landing.php’ )
|| is_page_template( ‘template_page-landing.php’ )
)`
Can I suggest a plugin feature to allow other pages to be excluded? Or can I include something in my “must use” plug in that alters the behaviour of this plugin?
]]>Hi David,
I have your Prose Extras and Genesis Layout Extras plugins installed and absolutely love them!!
I have the Prose theme installed and I’d like to have 2 footer widget areas of equal size ie. 50% and 50% instead of the 1/3 2/3 layaout you have created. I’ve tried playing around with the % settings directly within the plugin’s CSS but no change is shown on the page. Of course, I’ve cleaned the cache before each refresh but nothing changes.
Is there any advice you can give as to how I can have to equal sized responsive widgets?

Hi, I want to change the background of my disclaimer image to match the background of the rest of the footer. How do I accomplish this?
Thanks!
]]>Hi I’m using the Executive Pro Childtheme and have installed the plugin. Everything seems to work except that Footer 1 and Footer 2 line up vertically and not horizontally. I’ve tried to change the code on the backend, but nothing seems to work. Please advise. Thanks!
]]>Hello,
Thank you for developing this plug in, it is very nice and easy to use. The problem I am having is with the footer putter not sticking to the bottom of the page on non-home pages:
The site is currently locally hosted so I cannot give you a link, however here is the style.css
]]>Hi, just installed the plugin, I’m using genesis child theme freelancer.
As you can see here, https://heatoncomputers.co.uk/wptest/ the third footer area is appearing in the wrong place – after the footer.
its a brandnew install and no customisations have been made. Any ideas?
]]>Is it possible to customize the names of the widget areas?
]]>Morning! I am using this footer customization because I like it more than the traditional footer (I have removed this whole area with simple edits).
The only issue I have is that for the “news” child theme – it does not adjust the footer size in a mobile display. It runs long on the right side on my mobile device and I want to make sure the site is optimized, but I’m also not a CSS pro by any means.
Any chance anyone has any advice?
]]>Usually to move something I use:
remove_action( ‘genesis_before_footer’, ‘name_of_area );
add_action( ‘genesis_after_content’, ‘name_of_area’ );
but I don’t know what name to use for the widgetized footer.
I want to move it so it is inside the main wrapper.

]]>Hello,
I downloaded this plugin to get footers. I wasn’t very happy with it, so I deleted it and activated the Genesis footers as described here:
https://genesistutorials.com/genesis-footer/
This solution works much better. But problem is that when I did that, the information from the plugin reappeared!
Here is a screenshot of the issue.
Please explain how I can remove the information left behind by this plugin.

]]>Hi,
I am not a programmer but I am brave (some might say, foolish) enough to try to learn new tricks. I would like to have a decent footer and I can’t seem to find a way to do it without hiring a programmer or learning programming. Simple Edits is not enough.
My footer is almost there: brillientbubbles.com, but I do not see a way to change the font and the background color. The default is terrible and the Genesis Design Palette plugin does work either.
Maybe I’m missing something? If I am, I apologize for being such a newbie and do very much appreciate any assistance y’all can give.
