Hi
The Genesis eNews Extended integration with Mailerlite has stopped working on my website https://rb.gy/zz3i2r Has anyone had similar issues and is able to help?
I’ve tried implementing what’s here https://popwp.com/integrate-mailerlite-with-genesis-enews-extended-plugin/, but no joy (I know the last post was from someone who got it to work).
For the initial four steps in that article, the final point ‘Put the HTML and JS script in a HTML widget or Block and it will work.’ I added the code to a new HTML widget. That didn’t work. No doubt it was wrong.
The longer second part of the article I implemented, but it doesn’t look any different that what I had in the first place.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Chris
You need to update the code so it complies with Accessibility on Google Page Speed Insights.
Under Accessibility > Navigation, this is the issue the plugin is triggering:[id]
attributes on active, focusable elements are not unique.
All focusable elements must have a unique id
to ensure that they’re visible to assistive technologies.
This is my Page Speed Report: https://pagespeed.web.dev/analysis/https-cathyscakesalon-com/hlcirc7ep3?form_factor=desktop
Could you update your code so this issue disappears from my page speed score?
Thank you.
You have to follow this exactly: How to Integrate Mailerlite with Genesis Enews Extended plugin. It’s very hacky, hard to follow, but it works. My email list at https://www.johnkyle.com is using THIS plugin and the NEW MailerLite.
Don’t get me started on MailerLite and what a colossal pain they caused me with their “upgraded” platform. My landing pages and signup forms were working fine for years but I had to re-do them all, including making this plugin work again on my site.
Off-topic: also had to recreate all my automations because MailerLite’s lame migration process won’t import templates and automated emails created in their “legacy” editor. I created mine 5 years ago.
Just wanted to make sure this plugin is using MailChimp API 3.0? I got an email from MailChimp that API Export 1.0 and API 2.0 are being retired today (June 1 2023) so I want to make sure the Genesis eNews plugin is still going to continue working?
The hover color on both of the forms on my page (top and bottom) has changed to black out of nowhere and I have no idea how to fix it. Can anyone help? Thank you!
Hi, I have your widget plugin home page sign up. been using it forever, and love it! I know years ago there was an issue with cc. I was just checking out the contact form/Genesis eNews Extended and the entry goes through which is great! But the sign up date is showing 2011! Any quick ideas why? Years, ago I attempted to work with cc on a different issue, and holy! please don’t make me have to again :). Many thanks if you know of a reason for this date thing…
The Subscribe button pops up with the Genesis Enews form. It works great on desktop and even works on desktop responsive. But does not work on mobile.
At first I thought ads might be interfering so I turned ads off, and I still can’t get it to work.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Robin
I’m hoping to use Genesis eNews Extended to better format my Blog Post Subscriptions Form on the Right Sidebar.
The GET BLOG POST UPDATES form was created with a Emails Subscribers plugin widget and functions properly… however I do not like the way the form is formatted.
I am testing the BLOG POST SUBSCRIPTION form using the Genesis eNews Extended widget but I am doing something wrong as I get an error message when testing the form. In the Form Action block of the widget I am using this: [email-subscribers-form id=”1″] which is the code for the form I created within the Email Subscribers plugin.
I could use help with how to properly format the Genesis eNews Extended widget.
I tried to integrate my aweber to the Enews extender list but it doesn’t work. I did everything exactly like the pdf, https://kraft.blog/uploads/enews-aweber-draft.pdf , is telling me but when I’m done and tried the plug in it says that “this form is not secure” and when i push on “subscribe” it opens a new window and it says “The information you are about to submit is not secure. Your information will be visible to others because the connection used to submit the form is not secure.”
I also tried go to genesis enews wordpress site and tested what it said I would do to integrate the twos but I still have the same problem.
What is this and how do I fix it?
Hi @kraftbj, Nick here from https://follow.it, a Feedburner alternative. Feedburner closed email subscriptions for good now, and we’re getting various requests from users of your plugin how to make the switch. Instead of listing them all in the forum here, can we make commit suggestions on Github, facilitating it for them? I also sent you a message about this on your blog. Thank you!

I need to use this to better stylize the form on a clients site and she is using Keap Lite which makes it so the official WP Keap plugin doesn’t allow automation.
The code the site renders is in java script and not the same as what I’m used to for past forms.

Any help?

Has anyone figured out yet how to get the Form Action URL for Constant Contact? I tried to contact CC support and they said to contact the plugin’s support. I don’t see an answer in this forum yet. Please help!
Hi! I would greatly appreciate any help someone could give me! ??
Since my last WordPress update, when people access my site using their phones (which is where most of my traffic comes from), they can’t view my eNews sign up forms. I wasn’t aware of that for quite a while, since I always worked on the site using a laptop. However, I’ve stopped getting any additional subscribers since updating the site.
Do I need to downgrade my WordPress? I’m scared to do that, honestly, since I’m not a web designer. Or is there something I can do within the widget itself to help it display on mobile devices?
Hi, I am trying to center align the ‘Email Address’ and ‘sign me up’ field in my Genesis enews widget for my newsletter. For some reason, the two fields are showing left aligned right now.
It’s the second section from the top – blue background -starts with ” Travel, life hacks and current inspiration ” .
I am using convertkit to capture the emails – their support team wasn’t able to help me align it and suggested I connect with you.
Thank you for your help!
I’m unable to figure out how to update an existing widget at the footer of the website that currently links to a legacy Constant Contact form.(the form is no longer anywhere on Constant Contact)
Constant Contact’s new sign up forms do not contain raw HTML, so I’m unable to update the data in the eNews Extended Widget.
This is the code that CC has with their new form: <!– Begin Constant Contact Inline Form Code –>

<!– End Constant Contact Inline Form Code –>
Can I please get some help.
I don’t want to lose the nice formatting of the existing form in the Footer that a previous webmaster helped with.
Thanks!
We have used this plugin for many years and has always worked great for Non AMP sites.
However, there is a Warning Message displayed when submitting the subscribe form on an AMP site.
Setup:
Genesis Ver. 3.3.3
Navigation Pro Ver. 1.2.0
Genesis eNews Extended Ver. 2.2.0
AMP Ver. 2.1.2
Mailchimp is used for the Email Subscriber list.
The Genesis eNews Extended Widget is being used in the “After Entry” section, so it displays on every page. AMP is configured for Standard Template Mode.
The Mailchimp form details are configured correctly, because works in NON AMP mode.
When AMP is enabled, the re-direct to the success page for the subscribe fails. Instead, an Empty Error Code is displayed.
The following is displayed in a red box in the subscribe widget area:
“Your submission failed. The server responded with (code). Please contact the developer of this form processor to improve this message. Learn More”
There is no error code provided. Just the word “code”.
The “Learn More” in the error displayed links to:
https://amp-wp.org/documentation/playbooks/handling-form-submissions/
Using Google Chrome Inspect, the following errors are detected:
__amp_source_origin
from origin ‘…’
has been blocked by CORS policy: No ‘Access-Control-Allow-Origin’ header is present on the requested resource. If an opaque response serves your needs, set the request’s mode to ‘no-cors’ to fetch the resource with CORS disabled.
The Mailchimp “Subscribe” actually works, because the email subscriber details are added to the Mailchimp List. However, the User on the Website is shown the FAIL Warning Message instead of the correct Mailchimp subscribed message page.
We talked to the hosting provider, and they suggested we check support with the code developer.
The Genesis eNews Extended plugin does process the “Subscribe” with the Mailchimp List, but the plugin shows an Error (with empty error code), instead of re-direct to the success page on Mailchimp.
The site is not in production yet, so I can not provide a public link.
Do you have any suggestions or ideas?
Thanks so much.
Geoff
I can’t find anything anywhere about using shortcode with the plug-in.
Is there any way to use shortcode to insert the plugin in a non-widget area
Thanks!!
Hi there!
I have searched high and low to find a way to integrate MailerLite with this plugin. I have also spoken to MailerLite, and they gave me some tips. But they said that ultimately it is not their integration.
I found this tutorial, which seems super easy. But I cannot generate the same code. When I use the form action from the generated HTML, it takes me to a separate page where I have to enter the information again.
Please can you let me know what to do?
Thank you!
Hello,
I am using the Genesis Restored 316 Glamour child theme and would like to add TikTok social media icon to my website. However I cannot seem to find a TikTok icon in the eNews Extended plugin.
I know at one time you had a tutorial for adding custom icons, but I’m not seeing that anymore. Could you please me?
Regards,
Thomas
Hello all
With my wordpress theme, it has subscribe forms already part of theme (genesis eNews). I am trying to connect my mailchimp with it but for some reason, after someone fills out their name and email address and submits, it opens a page showing a MailChimp form asking for their details all over again!
I followed the instructions on here: https://support.17thavenuedesigns.com/article/78-genesis-enews-mailchimp
Yet it didn’t work properly. Any ideas how to fix this? Please help!
The enews extended boxes no longer work with mailerLite. The submit button is redirecting to the Mailerlite landing page. You can see it on the home top opt-in on my site for reference.
I also noticed all mention of mailerlite has been recently scrubbed from the theme’s documentation with enews set up.
Any ideas?
I’m getting an UPDATE notification for this plugin but there is nothing in the Changelog about this latest version. Their websites doesn’t list version 2.1.5. and it says “Latest stable version 2.1.4”
So why the update notification? has it been hacked?
Hi,
In addition to name, last name and email I would like to ask the subscriber to select their prefered language for newsletters (3 options). How do I modify the eNews extended form to include that field?
Thank you!
Hi there,
Just wondering if there’s a fix for ad blockers blocking the Genesis E news widget from showing up. Seems to happen mostly on chrome.
Thanks!
Hi
I’m having an issue with my subscription banner on my website when it is accessed via instagram (most people access my website via instagram).
An error message comes up about the email field if you try and subscribe to my mailing list via instagram.
Does anyone know what may be causing this?
I am completely un tech savvy too!
Thanks in advance,
Leila
After the latest update, I can see that there’s a “<” signed in Genesis eNews Extended widget. After I corrected the below code error, it’s back to normal. Hope this error will fix in the next update.
`<<input type=”<?php echo current_theme_supports( ‘html5′ ) ? ’email’ : ‘text’; ?>”
Hi there!
So a client of mine recently reached out to me for help with W3C errors/issues. Among them, we detected that your plugin adds ID attributes to some elements the subscription form.
If you add only one subscription form to the homepage -for example- then it’s fine. However, adding two or more subscription forms will trigger W3C error messages as several inputs/buttons share the same ID attributes.
We’d appreciate it if you could remove the ID attribute from these elements to avoid these problems.
Let me know if there’s anything we can do to help.
Thanks in advance!
I followed all the (very helpful!) instructions and my form is now up and working ALMOST fine. Everything works except the tags that I’ve assigned to the form aren’t being applied to anyone who signs up. On the other hand, the tags get applied if you use the form URL, so I know it works – just not with the Genesis eNews Extended widget. What am I missing? (I use Aweber)
