I encountered the following error while using your plugin:
Notice: Function _load_textdomain_just_in_time was called incorrectly. Translation loading for the gd-bbpress-attachments domain was triggered too early. This is usually an indicator for some code in the plugin or theme running too early. Translations should be loaded at the init action or later. Please see Debugging in WordPress for more information. (This message was added in version 6.7.0.)
It appears that the translation files are being loaded too early, possibly before the init
action. Could you please confirm if this issue is related to the plugin’s code? If so, are there any updates or fixes available to address this?
Is there any way to play the uploaded audio file instead of downloading?
]]>Hello, i have enabled the option to “Maximum files to upload” to 4 files, but the link “add new file” under the uploader is not working and users can only upload 1 file.
Could you please help? Thanks
I don’t see any settings to limit the file types that are possible to select from the finder when “Choose file” is clicked.
Is there any filter or some hidden setting to control that? I can see that PDFs and Image files are possible. But ideally I’d only want to allow image files to be uploaded
Right now I have the option to enable anonymous posting on the forum, I added this plugin thinking I’d be able to allow anonymous posters to upload an image but unfortunately the option doesn’t show.
How can I allow anonymous posters to also attach images?
I am using GD bbpress attachments plugin to allow users to upload .m4u files. Unfortunately, what I ever I did, I cannot upload this type of file. It shows the message: You are not allowed to upload this type of file. Even being an Admin and a Keymaster, still cannot upload this file through your attachment plugin as well as using Media library uploads.
]]>Hi, I have a problem with GD bbPress Attachments.
I add attachments if I create a new topic but I cannot add attachments if I reply to an existing topic. Additionally, I can insert attachments if I edit a previously created response.
I need help, thank you in advance.
]]>When someone attaches an image to a forum post it displays perfectly. However under the thumbnail image when viewing the post with attached image the image filename is shown and this is a live link to download the Image (clicking on the thumbnail opens the image).
How can I remove the clickable image filename or just make it unclickable?

]]>Hi,
I didn’t find solution or why this happens. First I thought my client is not able to create topic because of the Edge browser (I was able to upload file and create topic with Chrome without any issues). But their colleague was not able to upload it with chrome either.
Me and the colleague, we have admin WordPress account, so there is no difference. The client has just admin access associated to their forum.
The page just reloads, the fields are blank again, console did not show anything (browser console), log doesn’t show anything and also the Tools in this plugin shows 0 errors. The file is smaller than the limit of attachment is (still I am able to upload it). I also tried to upgrade the webhosting to set higher max_file_uploads etc.
PHP 7.4
upload_max_filesize 64MB
post_max_size 64MB
memory_limit 512MB
max_execution_time 180
Where do I upload the .po and .mo language files to the server?
I loaded the files under wp-content/languages/plugins/gd-bbpress-attachments.po, but without any effect.
The texts are not translated on the website. Is there another place I need to upload the files?
Thanks for help
]]>Some uploads are failing, while others work. Trying to upload an 8.5MB PDF, but it fails. GD bbPress is set to 15MB (15000KB) max file size and server is set to 32MB Max upload. No error message displays and no error is logged. Smaller uploads up to 1MB work.

]]>Hi Milan
Are you interested and how much would it cost to make GD bbPress Attachments work with the current version of Buddy Press 11.1.0
Hello everybody. I am having trouble with the GD bbpress Attachments plug-in. The upload attachment option does not show for visitors. However, when I am logged in as admin, it does appear. I have already tried things out in the settings, the option ‘always include’ is selected, everyone is allowed to upload, the attachments are not hidden for visitors etcetera.
Does anyone know how I can change this?
Information that might be useful:
You can find the link to my website above. The theme we are using is Promos (and I cannot change the theme due to time limits). The upload attachment doesn’t appear in any of the browsers I tried (Safari, Chrome, Firefox). Everything is updated to the most recent version. Your help would be amazing!
Kind regards,
Hannah
Hi,
I have the error “It appears this file is already present in your media library as post 38220!” when I upload file and If i rename the file, I have the same error.
After many tests, I realized that I need the change the “title” filed in the file properties in the detail tabs.
How to solve the issue?
]]>Hi,
I’m using the free version of your plugin. I see the thumbnail of every attachment and this is good.
What I like to do is to show at the bottom of the post is:
– if the attachments are images, the full images in attachments
– if the attachments are videos, a player to play the videos
Do your plugin have those features? If not, how can I do that?
Thank you in advance,
Enrico
Hi

Is it possible to allow guest users to upload images?

]]>I am running the GD bbPress Attachments 4.3 and am pleased with the plugin. Our members are uploading images that they take from their phones and may not be savvy tech users, so asking them to resize their images may not be productive. Is there an image optimization tool that you recommend with this plugin to downsize and optimize these attachments? Attachments may be regular jpg photos or photos of drawings.
Thank you.
Hi
Why is it that when I upload an attachment (but have not yet submitted my topic or reply) that I can’t remove that attachment?
At the moment I must submit the topic and then press delete under the attachment to remove it.
Hi,
I deleted messaged using BuddyPress Bulk Delete plugin but I have the “message-attachments” folder which is almost 2GB.
Is it safe to delete the content of the folder “message-attachments”?
Or is there any other way to remove these files?
Thanks
]]>Hello! Thanks for the plugin!
It seems that if you attach a file but do not type anything into the reply text box, the submission fails without any notice.
Is there some way to allow empty submissions when there is an attachment?

I just installed the plugin on a client’s site. During QA it worked fine until I tried uploading an image that exceeded the default 512k upload limit. The Upload Attachments section disappeared entirely after upload and not displaying again in this or any other topics. I’ve even reinstalled the plugin with no luck. Any idea what might have happened?
]]>Just over a year ago I posted…
Users tend to write a topic that says “have a look a the attached files” and are then surprised that the email notification doesn’t contain any attached files (they have to click on the topic link and view on the website). Is there any way to provide a link the attached files within the text of the email notification?
Milan replied…
Plugin doesn’t have such feature, it doesn’t modify the notifications. I have added this to the list for Pro version, because it has powerful notifications settings and override options. It might be included in the next Pro major version in March or April.
He then marked the post as resolved and unable to be updated.
I have looked at the change log for the Pro version and can’t spot this change (but I might easily be missing it). If you can confirm that the pro version will add attachments to the notification emails that are sent out, I will upgrade. Can you confirm?
Ahoi,
if a user submits a topic/reply with a file type attached that is not allowed the topic/reply is still posted and a errormessage is shown.
Although I know I can hide the error message this behaviour seems a little confusing to users and I would prefer the message to not be posted. Instead the user should come back to the topic/reply form with an error message.
Is there a way to do this with this plugin? If not by the build in options can you point me in directions (filters/actions …) how I can modify the plugin behaviour via custom code.
Thanks
BJ
