Hello,
Can we use wildcards in the exclude_file parameter ?
Say I want to exclude all .doc files from the directory listing.
Can I use exclude_file=’*.doc’ to make this happen ?
I tried. It does not work.
Kindly advise.
Thanks.
]]>Firstly I thank the author for this fantastic free plugin.
It serves a major requirement of many WP users.
I have three questions.
1) How can I add a download link in the list of music files.
( right-click to save also does not work for mp3 files as it does for other files.)
2) Is there a way to auto generate the thumbnails in Album ?
3) Is there a way to represent the Album just by a featured thumbnail which when clicked opens the gallery in lightbox where one can browse the other images ?
I will be grateful to author if above features exist or are made available in next version.
Thanks
]]>I’m trying to work with your plugin because it’s perfect for what I’m looking for, but I’m not able to make it run properly.
– My hosting is 1&1
– If I try type=’media’ then I get theese errors for each element:
Warning: filesize(): stat failed for /kunden/homepages/ …blablabla… .jpe in /homepages/ …blablabla… /wp-content/plugins/gallerylink/inc/GalleryLink.php on line 384
Warning: stat(): stat failed for /kunden/homepages/ …blablabla… /wp-content/uploadshomepages …blablabla… .jpe in /homepages/ …blablabla… /wp-content/plugins/gallerylink/inc/GalleryLink.php on line 387
Ok, doesn’t matter, I can do through type=’dir’ and filter with exclude_file, but… exclude_file doesn’t exclude any file, it doesn’t matter whatever I write as parameters (in fact the example parameters are perfect for me), but allways appears every pic and video in the directory /wp-content/uploads
– Also I have to put set=’all’, because if I put set=’album’ doesn’t apper any pic, and it wouldn’t be a problem if could use exclude_file, but it doesn’t work for me.
– In fact if I use your sample code for exclude_file, it shows me under everythign: x[0-9].)’]
So… what can I do with all this mess?
Thank you !!
]]>I just tried GalleryLink 6.6 trying to show a folder of images in a slideshow. I mostly used the defaults, but I changed the thumbnail default to empty as instructed for no thumbnails.
The slideshow is there, but it only shows the filenames and no images. Looking at the HTML, there are no img tags (before I turned off thumbnails) and then when there are img tags (thumbnails off), there is no src attribute to point to the file.
(I had the same problem when I had set=”album” also; just names showing.)
There doesn’t seem to be any way to remove the link around each “image”.
The gallerylink.css file has styles that affect other elements on the page such as:
ul {margin-left: 1em; padding-left: 0.5em; text-align: left;}
p {margin: 10px; text-align: left;}
li {display: block; float: left;}
This really messes up my sidebar and my content.
Now that I have this plug-in working, I have one more question:
Is there a way to have a GalleryLink slideshow within a Fancybox or Lightbox? I’m trying to create a gallery page that has a single thumbnail for each slideshow. When the thumbnail is clicked, the slideshow would open in the Lightbox. Any possibilities?
Thanks,
Matt
This plug-in looks like it will do exactly what I’ve been looking for. After many hours of trying, I still cannot make this work. Could you give an example of how to name the thumbnails and where to locate them?

THIS IS AN EXAMPLE OF MY FILE AND DIRECTORY STRUCTURE:
Full Size Image location:
https://www.mysite.com/myimages/
Full Size Image Names:
myimage01.jpg
myimage02.jpg
Thumbnail Image location:
https://www.mysite.com/myimages/150×150/
Thumbnail Image Names:
myimage01-150×150.jpg
myimage02-150×150.jpg
—————————————————-
THIS IS AN EXAMPLE OF MY WORDPRESS SHORTCODE:
[gallerylink set=’slideshow’ type=’dir’ topurl=’/myimages’]
Please let me know what I might be doing wrong. I really want to use this plug-in.
Thanks,
Matt
I use the theme Twenty Fourteen. And this plugin was exactly what I was looking for. but sadly it dont works.
I will use the slideshow. I just set up the topurl to the path from a directory which contains my .jpg files. (I tested different ways (following address is just for this post:
https://www.mysite.xxx/images/ or
https://www.mysite.xxx/images or
/images/ or
images etc.
The Site don’t show any picture. No error message. just no pictures.
what is the reason? What can I do?
]]>Really nice idea but using it full-screen modifies Firefox (v21) by closing the sidebar and resetting the browser size.
