Is the Gabfire Widget pack compatible with php 7.3 and WP 5.3? When I tried on my test site, it caused problems.

Hi there!
Recently we moved one website that uses sharp magazine theme, and the new hosting had php configured to show EVERYTHING… then we deactivate deprecated, notice, strict… but in the meantime we saw that this plugin, and gabfire media module, had several alerts…
Is this ok? some day will not work properly?
BEst regards!

Is there a way to give two authors credit in a single post?
Just installed the Gabfire widget pack for a new blog. Trying to use the Twitter Widget. I’ve successfully gotten the Twitter API creds.
Fee works with hashtags, does not work with username consistently. Every so often after fussing with the widget I can get a few tweets to show up.
URL, https://boothkittson.com
Twitter username @politifact
Doubt if username is case sensitive but also tried @PolitiFact and politifact without the @
Any hashtag seems to work reliably.

Hello,
I was having trouble with the ‘Footer Left Slider’ (theme options/categories) where the slider does not slide, and also some of the items do not display when the navigation dots are clicked on.
I have since totally upgraded to the 1.1 version of Journey, I have the latest version of Gabfire Widgets (if that is even needed for this). I also tried deactivating all plugins to see if there was a conflict, but that did not make any difference, so I just turned them back on again.
Can you please look at the Footer Left Slider on this website and tell me what’s wrong and what needs to be done to fix it?
Thanks.

It seems that Twitter’s counter doesn’t work right now. Google+ and Facebook are working fine.

Hi there,

Thanks

Hello I need to change the size image that is being used by the GabFire Custom Query. I have isolated where I think the change needs to be:
$c_image = $instance[‘c_image’];
if ( $c_image ) {
if ( $c_link ) { echo ‘‘; }
echo ‘<img style=”display:block;margin:0 0 7px;line-height:0″ src=”‘.$c_image.'” alt=”” />’;
if ( $c_link ) { echo ‘‘; }
}
<p style=”background-color: #efefef;border:1px solid #ddd;padding:10px;”><?php _e(‘Custom query will generate thumbnails only if TimThumb is the active thumbnail script. All Gabfire themes have TimThumb option enabled by default. However, if you use WP Post Thumbnails option, then thumbnails CANNOT be generated by this widget.’,’gabfire-widget-pack’); ?>

The Images native size is 32px x 32px however I need this to be larger. How can I select a different image size?
Thanks
Hi.
Links are right for simple posts/pages, but wrong for archives. For instance, in case of rss, for:
‘mysite/category/mycat’
instedad of
‘mysite/category/mycat/feed’
I have
‘mysite/permalink-last-post-displayed-in-this-category-page/feed’
Reviewing the code, get_permalink() is used instead of gettig current url.

I’m trying to install the Twitter app into my website (www.lifebeyondlondon.com). I’ve successfully downloaded the pack into my WordPress dashboard and added it to the template for my website. I can see the twitter feed box but the feed is not appearing.
I think this is because I have not been able to create the app in Twitter. I have activated the widget but I am struggling to configure it. i go to https://dev.twitter.com/apps (as instructed) to get my secret keys and login. Twitter says I have no apps so I add a new app (completing the fields as prompted) but, even though Twitter give me a message to say my App has been accpeted, it does not appear on my Apps page and I do not receive a request to authenticate the app – so now secret keys are available to me.
Does anyone know if Twitter app registration process is broken?
Am I doing something wrong in trying to authenticate the Gabfire app with Twitter?
Can anyone advise how I get the feed working.
many thanks
Hatty
Hello from Germany ??
I’m runnig one of my websites with your Snapwire theme and also use your Gabfire Widget pack. This morning Wordfence scan showed the following issue:
File contains suspected malware URL: /var/www/…./html/wordpress/wp-content/themes/snapwire-master/inc/functions/gabfire-widgets.php
Filename: wp-content/themes/snapwire-master/inc/functions/gabfire-widgets.php
Bad URL: https://del.icio.us/post?url=
File type: Not a core, theme or plugin file.
Issue first detected: 5 hours 56 mins ago.
Severity: Critical
Status New
This file contains a suspected malware URL listed on Google’s list of malware sites. Wordfence decodes base64 when scanning files so the URL may not be visible if you view this file. The URL is: https://del.icio.us/post?url= – More info available at Google Safe Browsing diagnostic page.
According to Google search the domain in question has been shut down and moved to https://delicious.com/
Will this be adjusted in your plugin, too?
Very kind regards,
Moni

Hi.
First of all: Thanks for your great plug-in. I have a question though concerning the counters of the social buttons: I just tried to “like” my own blog news on facebook but nothing happens. Either the like counter on my site changes nor Facebook recognizes my “like”. I tried the same with Twitter – Twitter received my click – but still the counter does not count up.
Do you have an idea what the problem could be?
Thanks a lot. Johnny.

Hello,
Currently, Flickr widget can work on sites that use HTTPS instead of HTTP.
The following needs to be changed for it to work:
<script type="text/javascript" src="https://www.flickr.com/badge_code_v2.gne?count=';
to
<script type="text/javascript" src="//www.flickr.com/badge_code_v2.gne?count=';
and then it will work over both HTTP and HTTPS.
Please update!
Thanks!
