Hi there,
I know this plugin has been replaced by Newsman, however, due to my server configuration, I cannot install the WPNewsman (I’ve tried it can can’t be upgraded).
Opt-in Manager works just fine for me except for one thing, I need to be able to put some text as placeholder on the input fields instead of as a label.

Is there any way to modify the code of the plugin to make this happen?
Hope you can help me, I’m desperate!

I’m having a strange problem with version 2.6.2. I’ve got a newsletter set-up with two $rss_itemblock items, one at the top with a list of all the items, and then a second one which prints the full blog post. I have tested this using 2.5.0, and it is working fine, but not in the newer version.

I’ve tested both blocks on their own, and they work fine.

Is anyone else having this problem? Any quick fixes?

My objective : measure the clicks on the e-mails I send to my subscribers.
Where should I put the utm Google Analytics?

Hi,

I’m handling a worpress site that uses this plugin.

Emails were sent but the problem, there is a 4-5 hours delay before emails were received by the subscriber.

Anything I could do to fix this?

Is the plugin has ques of emails that is to be sent?

I am having an issue where none of my subscribers are able to manage their subscriptions, nor are does the confirmation page load – all get a 404 error. I am using the Yoast SEO WordPress plugin and that seems to be the culprit. When I deactivate that plugin, the problem goes away. I’ve reached out to their support to no avail, but was hoping somone using G-Lock may have run across the same issue?

Hi, Im using the latest version of wordpress and the plugin and I have tried everything I can think of and just can not seem to get this plugin to work. All of my test emails work perfectly, including the registration and email confirmation ones, yet when I try to broadcast, It never sends it out. It says broadcasting and then goes back to stand by… It shows a list of post that are to be included as well. I am using php 5.2.17 and confirmed all email server setting on my host which is hostgator. any help would be greatly appreciated.

For some reason the subscribe button is not complete on certain browsers and only shows part of the word “subscribe”. On other browsers there is no problem.

Any idea how to fix this?

Hi,

Does anyone have any experience integrating Contact Form 7 with this plugin. Envisioning a checkbox field in CF7 that would indicate user would like to subscribe and then use the subscription functions within G-Lock to record the user to the mailing list and send the confirmation email.

Tried to make head/tails out of the javascript used in the G-Lock form, to see if I could just use that, but no luck.

Any ideas appreciated. Thanks.

Can’t get any test e-mail to send. Simply spins the indicator with nothing written to the debug log and no attempts to log in to the custom SMTP server. Same with canned Gmail settings. Have tried posting to the G-Lock forum (three weeks later, zero responses) and submitting a support request (two weeks later no response).

It’s unfortunate that the company is either unable or unwilling to provide support for this. Seems like a great idea on paper but the execution leaves everything to be desired.

This might be the same issue as below with “manual import of email addresses…”, but I am using this plugin a little differently than it’s intended purpose, I think.

We have an existing mailing list that we managing with Mailman and I want to use G-Lock to scrape the latest blog posts by category and send them in a newsletter format to this list.

I’m trying to figure out how I can confirm and add to the subscribers list in the plugin since the “email address” will actually be an alias for the list.

Is there any way to manually add subscribers to G-Lock without going through the subscription/confirmation process??? Thanks in advance.

I have been using G-Lock to send notifications of new blog posts for several months now. Since I first installed the plugin, it has had a problem of sending duplicate emails when I have it set to automatically send them when new posts are published. It does not do it all of the time, but it does happen frequently. If I set it to manual and send the emails myself, it works as it should. I have looked on these forums and on the G-Lock forums, but I seem to be the only one having this problem.

I have other templates that would be more appropriate and wouldn’t mind hard coding it…

I couldn’t get it to send any emails. I’d used an older version with no problems.

BTW, my client complained about all the instructions for allowing blocked emails. He found it very confusing to see a mention of Yahoo Mail when he doesn’t use it. OK, he didn’t read the page. But, most internet users won’t. It was very easy to change, but it generated a client complaint, nonetheless.

glock does not function properly when custom permalinks are on

The plugin doesn’t shows the registration form. On the backend, even though I click on ‘Default’ button, I get nothing.
I even removed all the plugin options from the DB (using clean options plugin), but nothing works.

Any tips/tricks?

I’ve searched for a resolution to this and even checked the faqs but there does not seem to be a solution. I can successfully send a test email….I even get the following response “Your SMTP account data is correct” and an email saying “If you read this message, your SMTP settings in G-Lock Double Opt-In plugin are correct.”

The feed options does show several posts it’s going to broadcast however no email ever gets out. Even checked the mail server’s logs and it does not show any activity when broadcasting but when you send a test email it does the the email being sent through. My only guess is that something is wrong with the broadcast functionality for the plugin. Anyone have any suggestions???
