Hi guys,

I’ve just uploaded a video to my (dark coloured) website, and there’s an unsighly white border all around it.

All of my older videos seem fine, but if I re-upload one of them, they get the white border.

I’ve manged to turn the white border back to black with the CSS:

. . . but it would be nice to ‘lose’ the custom CSS.

Any ideas why it just started doing this?

And it’s NOT a version problem, as I tried using the previous version before taking the screenshots.

Just asking incase it’s possible …

1. I see three cdn sites but can’t use a third party such as Dropbox to stream videos, is this possible?
2. Looking for a player that offers a ‘premiere intro’ like youtube.
3. Set the time, the date and the player would show a countdown time and date, a little like youttube.
4. Also, many of subscribers are hard of hearing and need subtitles on the fly, not sure if FLA can do that or perhaps offer a .srt ability?
5. The free plugin version as a watermark and has links in the top right corner – can these be removed/hidden?

in Firefox and Chrome on desktop the video I inserted in fvplayer starts muted on the webpage. How can I force to start unmuted? Any ideas? ??

Hi, i read the same issue here, but it’s closed like solved. Right now FV player read my .flac file perfectly but splash image doesn’t work. Black screen.

I used a trick in past: a playlist connected with bunny stream showed me the radio button “audio stream”, and all was perfect, cover along the music.
So I simply changed the link of my music, and the “audio button” was still there.
But the problem is now that i have not “alias” tracks to change the link. If i click “create new track”, the radio button “audio stream” doesn’t appear.
I tried your suggestion, to add #.mp3 but the music doesn’t start, passing the next track.

So, please, can you help me?

I added new video, but can’t save “Error saving changes”

In the new version 7212, when a video is uploaded, the time of video is not shown (above the video title). This problem was caused by updepating to 7212. Please guid me for sokving the problem.

Hi guys, I’ve found an error in the latest version (above)

On the front end, it kept saying ‘video has issues’ (in red)

and on trying to play it, it just said that the video was not found

So I tried rolling the plugin back to the last version (7.5.41.7212) and all works fine now.

I’m using videos downloaded from Dropbox and changing the last part of the link from dl=0 to raw=1

you used to have this feature where if the featured image was not set, that the plugin would pull the splash image and use that as the featured image.

Hi, is there anyway to get the video to play in a light box?

I’ve noticed that the subtitles a video being played with FV on a Google Chrome tab won’t be streamed with the standard “Cast” feature, with the video without subtitles showing on the Chromecast and the subtitles being played at the tab on the computer with the “Optmize” function. Is that something that can be done about it regarding the player or is that a Google Chrome bug?

How can i exclude handling any youtube link on FVPlayer? because the only setting available make it overtake all video on WP including youtube link.

This create conflicts with learndash lesson video. I want to use the default video setting on lesson progression (without fvplayer). But due to the shortcode overriding settings, it override the learndash function & simply display fvplayer shortcode with no video.

Hello, respect. I really like your plugin and I think it has no competition. I have been using this plugin for years. But I think there is a problem that needs to be corrected. The ability to “right click” and save (Save as) any video in the playlist should be enabled. Of course, you can make it optional to be active or inactive (At the discretion of the customer). The current download system in the Pro version ([fvplayer_download]) is not very interesting and professional. Please take action. Thank you

I have some videos, some up to an hour. Is there a suggested file size, bitrate, etc. for larger videos? I’m trying to prevent buffering, but also don’t want to compress it down so much that it looses value. Thanks for any suggestions.

Sometimes the video does not play.

If I have a playlist, the first video does not play. I have to start the second video or other videos, then go to the first video again, then it plays.
Sometimes, if the post has only one video, it does not play.

In the WP rocket, in the item Load JavaScript deferred, I add in Excluded JavaScript Files:
/wp-content/plugins/fv-player-pro/js/.js
/wp-content/plugins/fv-wordpress-flowplayer/js/.js

If would you not add the files, the FV player does not word.
Even without WP rocket, sometimes I have the same problem.
I tried many things, but I could never fix this problem.
I tried on iphone 14, 11, laptop and so on…

I’m trying your plugin on my website and I’m facing the following problem:
Whenever I activate the plugin, all the pages on my site start to have formatting problems.
Analyzing the dev tools, I see that the text contained in the <div> becomes an inner <p> automatically. This, of course, conflicts with the theme’s css.

Are you aware of this topic? Do you know of a way to bypass it?

Good morning to the FV Player development team and thank you very much for such a great plugin.
We have the PRO version on our site, and many of our users have noticed that they can’t use the Picture in Picture feature that Firefox and other browsers bring (To be able to float the video and continue watching other tabs without stop watching it).

Is there any way to activate it?
If not, it would be a very useful feature for users who are already used to this type of video players.

I added a button to redirect to a new URL in a popup at the end of the video, but when you click it, it doesn’t immediately go to the wanted URL, rather the video plays for a few seconds before it goes to the URL.

Is there a way to make the button go to the URL immediately it’s clicked?

But after adding a few videos I can’t find that text.
