Update: I don’t know what the problem is, but now visitors get an Error 400 and nobody can post a comment anymore. Maybe it was an update from WordPress? It is sad, the plugin was really great…

This is the best ultra-simple (and free) way to stop comment spam, thanks to the method it uses. Alternative effective solutions are more complicated and involve webserver configuration or WAF and CAPTCHA services. Other plugins simply fail to address the root cause of comment spam. This is the one to use.

This plugin returns an email warning from WordPress as not being secure and blocks access to login page. It produces a fatal error.

In Drupal world, Antibot is the module that does the same thing that Gulshan has done in this plugin for WordPress and I must say that this plugin works like a charm! I have been using Akismet on 50+ WP sites since 2014 which requires an API key setup. This year, I replaced Akismet and started using the “Forget Spam Comment” plugin.
I am never going back because it’s lite, doesn’t require an API Key, and also I am seeing Zero False positives whereas a lot of spam comments were bypassed through Akismet earlier.

This plugin seems to be too good to be true. But it is true, it exists and it is too good. It’s fantastic!
It blocked comment spam even when the content is in the cache. pity that does not support WordPress Login and Registration.
I was suspicious when I installed it on my site, but now I’m going to install it on 4 other sites.

I know Gulshan for a long time and I really appreciate his work. I was happy when he created this amazing plugin.
But this review is completely honest, not because I know him. I installed this plugin on one of my blogs for testing and then decide whether to use it on others or not.
I must say that it works like a charm, very lightweight and easy to install. It keeps SPAM comments away from blogs.

Wow! This should be a premium plugin. Since I started using Forget Spam Comment, I don’t receive any spam comment. This is a must-have plugin for all bloggers. It’s far lighter and secure than Akismet with bare minimum code. Doesn’t fill database or anything like this.

The day I have started using this plugin, I haven’t received a single spam comment on my blogs. Before I was using Akismet Spam Protection plugin, the problem with this plugin is that it was not able to eliminate the spam comments completely.
I was still getting hell lot of comments, and it was very irritating. I have to waste my time deleting the comments rather than focusing on my blog. A few weeks back, I have installed Forget Spam Comment plugin on my blog and here is the interesting part till now I haven’t received a single spam comment.
And according to the developer, it is the lightest plugin that weighs arount 200 bytes only. Now I have installed it on all of my blogs. It is a must-have plugin for bloggers, and the best part it is completely free. This is my honest opinion about this plugin. Thanks to the developer for this wonderful plugin.
