hi, you can make a test.
I can comment on my blog, by using the Desktop.
However, when I use mobile, the comment is automatically put in TRASH.
Please help.
]]>Hello dear Gulshan Kumar
I use the Hello Elementor theme and use the wpdiscuz plugin to display comments on my site. I recently encountered the following error on my post and products page:
Uncaught TypeError: Cannot set properties of null (setting 'action')
at document.onscroll
There are so many of these errors in the console section of my Chrome browser that the number increases horribly as I scroll up or down the page.
]]>This plugin doesn’t work with Bedrock installs because the admin is placed inside the “wp” folder. The function get_site_url() returns the domain with the folder, like this:
https://www.example.com/wp
This makes the logic fail towards the end of the plugin file.
I think the safe fix is to use get_home_url()
instead of get_site_url()
. Or perhaps you look for the defined constant WP_HOME
which is what Bedrock uses to define the website home. If that’s defined, then use that in the logic to check if we have the has URL.
What do you think? Can you change this?
]]>Hi there! I am new to this plugin as of 24 hours ago. I got this comment overnight:
“hi whoever moderates these – i didn’t realize my previous message exceeded the character limit and a huge chunk was cut out of the middle — please disregard the previous message and consider the next shortened version instead.”
Is their a character limit? I do have wordy users.
Thanks!
]]>I used the plugin for some time, no issue until today.
I checked, it’s still activated. Got 12 spam comments, all were similar and probably bot-created.
]]>Hi, this looks like a great plugin. I wonder how WordPress has existed so long without it?
My site runs with the FlyingPress performance plugin on Kinsta hosting, and using the Cloudflare APO edge network.
https://developers.cloudflare.com/automatic-platform-optimization/
Do you think my site would be compatible with Forget Spam Comment?
Thanks again!
]]>Hi there,
love the plugin – it worked perfectly just untill today.
Will there be an update for WordPress 6.1.1 soon?
kind regards
]]>By installing the plugin, do we also need to enable steps in CloudFlare? Or will the plugin take care of everything once activated?
]]>Hello. I troubleshooted and found that this plugin conflicts with Zion Builder (a theme builder) and Blocksy. I couldn’t load any content in the Zion Builder editor while having this plugin activated =(
]]>If not logged in and on a page with comments, check dev console. There are many errors as you scroll. Could be my theme if you don’t see these.
]]>“If you are still unable to post a comment and page just reload to itself means your theme uses a different comment form ID that has not been included by this plugin.”
Visitors are unable to post comments when “Forget Spam” is activated.
Hello,
I’ve just updated the plugin, and noticed that the entire comment area is not showing anymore in my posts. I am not sure if this is related to Forget Spam Comment plugin, or if I just didn’t notice whenever the issue began.
I’m using the default WP comments. Any ideas for what to check? No errors in browser console.
Thanks
]]>Hi there, I’m getting this error on all my sites using your plugin when someone tries to add a comment.
Error 400
If you are an admin of this site, please clear once the Page Cache.
hello, I have an issue, wp-comments-post.php?xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx appears on my homepage and all pages, I things we need to restrict it to single-post-types only, like only on pages/posts with a comment box.
here is console erroe screenshot
https://prnt.sc/16jqyzd
and error number increasing as I scroll down.
Hi, I keep getting the Error 400 message despite clearing the cache multiple times.

Hi Gulshan,
Will your plugin protect Elementor forms or only comment forms?
Login form?
From what I gather, it appends an identifier to anyone scrolling to the form.
Is this so?
What about pops then [forms in a popup/ slide-ins, etc]?
Thanks!
P.S.:
How do you protect from smarter bot applications that emulate real user activity? I assume you cannot, no one can, nor claim 100% protection.
Thankfully, very few coders are smart enough to build such bots.
Typically the major issue is what seems as manual spam submissions – for SEO services and whatnot – while actually done with a smart bot. [Costs too much hiring massive teams = much more cost-effective paying for IPs, captcha solvers, and such].
Hi,
I note that on www.remarpro.com the Forget Spam Comment plugin makes no reference to compatibility with PHP versions. Are you able to confirm whether or not the plugin is currently compatible with PHP 8.0?
Much appreciated.
Thanks,
Richie
One week later on a multisite install and this plugin continues to do a phenomenal job of blocking spam. It’s so good you almost forget about spam, like its name. ??
Thanks again Gulshan!
]]>Thank you Gulshan for a clever approach to the spam problem!
I see the MD5 hash in the form action. However it always seems to be present; with developer tools I can’t seem to recreate a scenario where it appears on the scroll event.
How can I verify that the MD5 hash is only appearing on the scroll event? (I’ve included a link you can check with this comment.)
Thanks much!
]]>Hi, recently the plugin seems to have become less effective. I get many comments every day which are totally spam
]]>Would this plugin block pingbacks as well? I would like to continue to see pingbacks, as they alert me when crawlers have republished my content elsewhere.
]]>Hi, I’ve been looking at solutions to stop the hundreds of spam comments I have recently started to receive weekly, but all the plugins I’ve evaluated seem to be breaking sites, prevent sales, slowing down sites, stopping admin access, causing self IP blocks, etc. As I’m not at all tech-savvy, I cannot risk issues that would stop my blog site functioning or prevent customers from purchasing.
Your plugin seems promising, however, despite the few reviews. Can you please be so kind as to confirm that my e-Store set up would not be affected in any way? I am just starting up my small business, so I really cannot afford to lose sales.
I’m using WP-eStore by tipsandtricks-hq.com
I’d be more than happy to donate to support your work.
Thank you
I had tried few different spam plugins but none could stop spam comments. After installing this plugin, I have not received a single spam comment. Thank you for this great plugin.
My only concern is that since this plugin is stopping all spam comments but can I be sure that it is not stopping genuine comments as well?
Appreciate if plugin author can confirm this.
Is there a way to add support for Contact Form 7? This way I could stop using reCAPTCHA <3
]]>Hi,
Does this plugin requires jquery to work?
Hi Gulshan,
Can you look into the matter of its compatibility with Caching plugin specifically Swift Performance?
This was working well with deactivated Swift Performance plugin but when I activated the plugin, I noticed that the comment area has gone hidden. There is not other CSS customization or anything UI related error or breaking with Swift Performance plugin except that the comment section is not visible. Can this be because of this plugin or should I contact the Swift performance support?
Thank you.
]]>Hi Gulshan,
Congrats on the new plugin. But I wanted to alert you that it doesn’t work with Oxygen builder. I’m getting HTTP 400 error on submission of comment.
