When using third-party themes, it’s a usual practice to remove unnecessary image sizes and regenerate existing thumbnails (I’ve recently used a theme with 15+ new image sizes registered, yikes). I like that I can easily remove image sizes with Perfect Images plugin, however it doesn’t allow me to actually delete old image sizes, but this plugin does exactly that with one button – nothing else is needed, honestly.

It might work for small websites. But that’s it. It won’t let you disable unwanted thumbnails. Some thumbnails are registered only for specific actions, but this plugin will create them too. At the end, if you have woocommerce, all your produc tphotos will have blog sizes too. There’s no resume action, so with already over 10k you’ll be getting access expired. Retry link won’t work. At the end, after wasting a week with this plugin, I’m going for other paid versions.

This plugin is amazing and helped me delete thousands of images but I have too many (100k+, Yes I’m very productive) and it always end u failing after processing 80k-90k images. Is there a way for the plugin to start with the very first images uploaded and finish with the most recent ones ? That would be amazing !

It is MUCH more aggressive than the other thumbnails’ regeneration plugins. I can see a great use case if you want to free up hosting storage, that’s why I give 5 stars. Anyway, be careful because there are chance to have missing images on frontend depending on several factors. As dev says in the dashboard, take a backup before proceeding.

I rarely use plugins that haven’t updated for years. But this plugin not only still works perfectly fine, it’s even better than many newer products. I’ve just tried the plugin by Shortpixel, and it simply did not do the job. It is very likely a setting that was wrong. But common, I just wanted to regenerate all thumbnails after changing the thumbnail size. I don’t want to read the documentation for that. “Force Regenerate Thumbnails” is still the winner for me. It’s a pitty that it hasn’t been updated for so long.

I’ve changed the Thumbnail size and Medium size to different values than the defaults(150 and 300), and I wanted to delete the old ones. But this plugin just regenerated the thumbnails. I find it useless.
