FYI – I had used this plugin to set up a 3-column widget area. Took a lot of work on my part to write and insert the needed widget content. Just found it all gone! The text to my widgets is gone, and attempts to re-register the widgets result in NOT showing up in this plugin. Then I saw, oh my, don’t use more than WP 5.7. Well, maybe that explains why my FOOTER DISAPPEARED, completely, taking the code along with it, so I have to redo all my work. Using what for a footer, I don’t yet know. My site is on auto-update and wordpress is now current, so goodbye footer. Goodbye to your plugin. Thanks a lot.
This is what makes wordpress so damn ugly to try to work with. Vital areas of your site can just stop functioning, disappear, or a plugin like phpsword to remove comments can trigger critical error and take you offline by surprise with a WP update. I HATE WORDPRESS, very sorry I ever got into it.
]]>With the help of the WordPress plugin Footer Mega Grid Columns I updated the design of the footer, but on all pages except the main one, the changes are not shown unless you log in as an administrator. How to fix it?
My theme is blocksy.
Dear all,
I was looking for something like this at the footer in Storefront, where in all required images can be placed above the widgets.
Please have a look at the subjected issue as per instructions in the plug-in details the php code is added in footer.php( line 16) and fun.php file of child theme and works very well on desktop, perfect! But on the mobile view the footer is pushed up and widgets have moved down looks strange may I know where I have to exactly make changes so that the plugin is mobile responsive.
i bought the pro version of this plugin cause only in the pro version you can switch to different grid layout like shown in this video:
i tried different themes like: astrid, domino, bizberg, education business, fameup and twenty eleven now and not in one theme i could enable this pro feature like in the video. of course, i allways insert the php code in the footer on every theme like it written in describtion.
how do i enable this pro feature??? i just bought it cause i need this feature and now its not working!
]]>Hi,
I accidently added an extra column/group and there appears to be no option to remove?
]]>Hello,
I have a problem with your plugin when I use 2 languages. I can make a simple 3 column footer in 1 language. But if I add the second language, each footer occupies 3 columns out of 6 in total. In summary, the column total should remain 3 and not add the columns of the other language. In summary, in the display, I have 3 occupied columns and 3 empty. This is how I configured the plugin: in widget, under footer mega grid columns, I created 6 blocks, 3 in FR and 3 in EN, each block being displayed for its language. Do you have another method to suggest to get to have a footer on 3 columns occupying the entire width for each language ?
Thank you in advance for your help !

Using the Total theme and Footer Mega Grid Widget. I would like to change the background color of the widget area of the footer in the style.css file. I know how to change the Footer Bottom background color (Appearance > Customize > Footer Bottom), but Appearance > Customize > Footer Widgets does not provide a way to change any colors. What is the class name? I can’t find it in the css file. I’ve tried adding .fmgc- etc.etc . also .footer-mega-col-wrap. Can’t find it in the css. Thank you.

Hello, we are using this plugin for our footer on the website linked above. Currently it automatically shows only on the left side of the screen, even when it is centered – taking up only 50% of the width as if there are 2 columns, while there is only 1. We would like to be able to use it in one column and using the full width of the page. Could you assist?
]]>I tested plugin with Twenty-Twelve theme and it works fine.
I am using Astrid Theme and cannot get the columns to show if I add the php code to the child theme footer.php.
It does work if I add to main theme footer.php
Also, I cannot see how to select the number of columns.

Hello, I use Twenty Seventeen child theme and have WordPress 5.5.1
After searching and trying various CSS to reduce the padding/white space above and below the footer, I cannot find an answer that works.
How do I reduce the padding/white space above and below the footer, preferably with CSS if possible?
Many thanks in advance.
]]>I downloaded Footer Mega Grid Columns
Then I inserted the code into the Child Theme and then into the foooter.php page as directed.
The Widget appears but it does NOT list “Text – Column 1, Text Column 2 and Text Column 3.
I tried adding a photo into the widget and the image did not show up.
No content shows up at all.
I want to use this for the website listed above.

]]>Hi, I am using a Twenty Seventeen child theme. WordPress version 5.0.3. I have searched the forum and online and unplugged plugins and cleared the cache but cannot find a solution that works. I have updated Twenty Seventeen this evening.
My Footer Mega Grid Columns plugin shows in my plugins and is activated but now since updating the Twenty Seventeen theme my footer has gone from my site and does not show anymore in the customizer page.
A big change I made recently was changing from PHP 5.6 To PHP 7.2. Prior to making the changes I checked using PHP Compatibility Checker plugin which showed that Footer Mega Grid Columns was compatible with PHP 7.2.
Please help me get my footer back.
]]>Hi. I got it working, it adds another footer which is fine but it has a white background while I want it to be grey. The default footer is dark grey and my overall background color is light grey so I do not really understand why it is white. How can I change that?

]]>Hey there,
I would like to check if it is possible to achieve a footer with 5 columns?
Kindly follow the website link given as I have an exact mockup of the look I would like to achieve. Do take note of the copyright bar as well.
Please advice if this is possible. Thank you.
Hope to hear from you soon!
]]>Hello
I followed the instructions on the plugin www.remarpro.com page, but have two problems.
The text you say to add to footer.php is missing “<?” and “?>” on the page. The first time I edited the footer.php file I didn’t realise and now, despite correcting the file, I have this code at the top of my footer:
if( function_exists(‘slbd_display_widgets’) ) { echo slbd_display_widgets(); }
The second problem may well be related. I have edited the footer adding two text and one custome html widgets. On my page I can see three widget containers, but no content.
My theme is Sirius Pro by Lyrathemes. Is this compatible with the plugin?
Out of the several footer.php files I could have edited, I chose the file in the theme folder – was that the right thing to do?
cheers
]]>Hello,
The theme I’m using does not have a footer widget area so I used the plugin to create it for the original language (Italian).
I tried to use it also for the English version from the English WP widget area and duplicate and select the language.
When I do it they disapear on the Italian side.
I tried different tricks but none worked.
My question is:
how can I manage this issue? It is possible to ‘duplicate’ the plugin or any other solution?
Thank you for help,
I like your plugin a lot and I would like to know how I can add multiple rows (that support columns) using this plugin. Thanks in advance.
]]>Hi, thank you for your plugin which solves the problem of adding more widgets to the Twenty Seventeen theme. I am using a Twenty Seventeen child theme. I was wondering if I can style your plugin to suit my needs with CSS.
I would like the copyright notice after/below the other text widgets and centered and less space between each text widget, to look something like the following –
Terms & Conditions|Privacy & Cookies|Refunds Policy
?2017 copyright|STUARTIST|All rights reserved.
Is this possible?

Hello – the Footer Mega Grid Columns plugin is not working. After I do all the steps per your instructions, all that shows up is a thin line of color with the short code written out on top of the band in the footer.
Any help would be great….
