Hello I have just activated this plugin since I am having issues with jetpack.
But upon activation there is an error.
The button appears on the bottom of the page as said, but once click on it opens up strangely and is not aligned and the button is partly hidden under the bottom of the page. The follow button has been move to the left and the rest of the plugin has been moved the the right.
How can I fix this problem?
my website is: https://www.ninawillebois.com
kind regards.
I deactivated the Follow plugin. Can I still find the users who subscribed while it was active?
]]>As an Unsubscribe-Link is not automatically included in the E-Mail-Template of the Follow-Plugin, but recommendable in order not to annoy subscribers, you can do the following: simply add a Link to the subscription page you created for the plugin (as requested by the plugin*) into the E-Mail-Template (WordPress Admin Dashboard > Follow Plugin > Settings > Email Templates > New Post email)!
In our case, we named the subscription page for the plugin “subscribe” (as proposed by the plugin). Thus, the URL of our subscription page is: https://www.diedenker.org/subscribe/
There you find the “subscribe” and “unsubscribe” option of the plugin. So we simply included the URL https://www.diedenker.org/subscribe/ in our Follow-Plugin-Temmplate (and additionally a short text indicating users that they can unsubscribe using this link).
Good luck!
* After activating the plugin, you’re instructed to create a WordPress page, called for example “subscribe”, and include the parameter [subscribe2] there in the text field. In the plugin’s “settings” then you have to select the created page (via the drop down in the setting’s top section under “Appearance”).
]]>Hi
I Have a very big problem with this follow plugin.
the people who subscibe does not get subscribed. it seames go go fine, they get this page and all https://www.kal-graphic.dk/subscribe/.
but they never comes on the list with subscribers in wordpress, so they are really never subscribed?
also where can i get shown on the blog numbers of followers
]]>Can anyone please tell me if the follow plugin can work with wordpress version 3.8.1? I have tried all i can yet no luck. First, I cant see the floating at the right bottom corner, also i sent a test email, but did not receive. Can anyone help?
]]>My permalink is an ugly one; my problem is that I have sent out links to various pages and don’t want those links broken. If I change my permalink settings for all the pages I’m afraid that will happen. How do I change this one page to /subscribe? I’ve read several answers to this question but they are over my head. Can I just change all the links and not have my public links to pages broken?
]]>Is there a way for new subscribers to choose only to receive certain posts/pages updates when they sign up? At the moment, if you click follow then provide your email it just signs you up for everything, as far as I’m aware, so it’d be good to give people the choice to filter it. Any help would be much appreciated.

]]>Hi,
This is a great plugin and i firstly wished to thanks the author for it.
That said, i’ve not found any other way to translate the “Follow” button at the bottom of the site than rewriting “follow.php” core files.
This is bad because if the plugin has to be updated than all changes will be overwritten.
Also, when trying to create proper .mo and .po translation files from the “follow.pot” source file (that’s included with this plugin btw), i get multiple text domains.
It appears that this plugin uses copied content from ‘subscribe2’ plugin. So when i try to translate from “follow.pot” it doesn’t get to properly translate all the content.
Moreover, the “Follow” button content is located in the #bit div (line 8543 to 8583) in “follow.php”. Not included into any __() or _e() php functions.
.mo and .po files can’t even translate anything there.
So here come some questions i’ve in mind:
– Is it possible to replace all ‘subscribe2’ (and ‘subscribe’) strings by ‘follow’ to get one and only .po file ?
– Could we add __() or _e() php functions in that #bit div so that the “Follow” button content can get properly translated by translation tools ?
Thx for your time
PS: i know there are already some translation threads for this plugin, but couldn’t find any satisfying answer.

Weird no?

]]>I’ve recently learned that the ‘sender’ of the e-mails send out to my subscribers by the follow plugin is my actual name. As I’m using a pseudonym on my blog, this poses a problem. How can I fix this?
I want to change the sender in my blog name. I already figured out how to change it in the e-mails that are sent out, but I don’t know how to change the ‘sender’ that also appears in the inbox information of mailboxes.
Does anyone know how to fix this problem?
Thanks in advance!

]]>Hello,
My query is straight forward.
I am using a “back to top of page” plugin with anchors and the “follow” button location clashes with the up arrow. See henrygomez.com.au – how do I change the follow button location?

]]>Hi erverybody,
after clearing a lot of issues with the “follow” – plugin, I am finally stuck with one task:
There is an option to show a checkbox below the comment-form of a post/page, which enables the comment-poster to register as a follower. (or this is, what I think that it should do when activated in “options”).
I managed to get that checkbox displayed but on checking it, the comment-posters email is not entered to the subscribers list.
I browsed through the code and found out that this checkbox creates a comment-meta entry for each comment, which is called “s2_comment_request”.
Then there is the “function comment_status”, which does something with this comment-meta-data, but I didn’t figure out, what exactly it does.
But one things’s for sure: This function DOES NOT subsribe the comment-posters email adress to the followers-list. But that’s actually what it is supposed to do in my opinion.
Anyone who can help me with that? Many thanks in advance.
Greetz, Hannes
PS.: Haven’t heard from Aditya for some while, when looking at this forum and his twitter-channel. I hope he’s still with us. Maybe some of you guys know, what happened to him.

]]>I have a tonne of subscribers that I want to delete, but I cant. There is no checkbox next to their email address. The only users that have a checkbox for confirm/unconfirm/delete are the ones with a tick next to their email address. I guess the tick means confirmed. What does the “R” with a circle around it mean? Why are there no checkboxes for email addresses with an circled “R”. Why can’t I delete these?
]]>Yes, the developer, Aditja Jain, appears to have disappeared off the internet which is a shame, as his plugin is/was fantastic!
The problems seemed to arise after updating to 10.0.6 which threw up an error message on self-hosted websites, including my sites.
However, the quick answer was to uninstall and re-upload the version 10.0.3 which I was originally using and NOT to update the plugin to any other version!
I am currently successfully using 10.0.3 with v3.5 WordPress on a ‘Subscribe’ page within which the form works from.
If anyone would needs a copy of the v10.0.3 plugin please PM on here or contact me via:

Hope this post helps somebody.
]]>Hello there,
I love the idea of this plugin, see it’s very popular and want to use it! However, I have successfully installed Subscribe2 which I understand it needs to function correctly and now when I try to install the Follow plugin I get the following error:
“Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class s2class in /var/www/vhosts/helenjbeal.com/httpdocs/wp-content/plugins/follow/follow.php on line 55″
Please note that I had previously successfully installed and activated the Follow plugin but it was causing a conflict that was making the activation of the installed Subscribe2 plugin fail – and I understand the Follow plugin won’t work without it?
Please refer to this discussion thread in the support forum:

because my site on www.remarpro.com use permalinks with numbers of page like: https://www.melimelomok.com/?p=123
Is it posible to change the name of page ‘subscribe’ for number of page?
Please help me, this is my first site on WP. Thanks.

Id like to use the subscribe page and remove the button because it displays over my footers links, is that possible?
