Hello there,
Since I upgaded my WordPress-sites to 4.8.2 last week I get this error:
(first words translated from Dutch) “Unkown item on kfmBridge”.
I know this error comes from Foliopress and it is gone when Foliopress is switched off.
Anyone seen this one and knows what causes this?
Thanks
Lex
This doesn’t work at all with Divi by Elegant Themes.
I’m talking about Content boxes inside Divi modules.
It’s a shame as the default WP editor sucks.
First, thanks for updating.
Now, change you add buttons to the custom tool bar? If the answer is yes, how?
right?
It seems every editor I try will replace various foreign language characters from my text. I’m using Serbian Latin alphabet and various characters ?, ?, ? will be stripped out and replaced with a question mark. (Let’s see if that happens here). If those characters were in the “special character” section I’d be okay, but they’re not. Any way I can adapt foliopress to do this for me?
I can see that there are instructions in the code to add a blockquote button, but it doesn’t appear. I found someone online complaining about that with the CK Editor and suggesting a fix.

“I put the contenteditable=”true” data tag on a
tag instead of a
tag.”
But I couldn’t find that line in the code. Thanks for any help
After installation, the whole editor has turned into one blank box, there’s a dropdown arrow but it opens nothing.
Plugin was installed directly through plugin installer.

When browsing for images in the uploads/%year%/%month% folders, the thumbnails only show very briefly, rendering the browser pretty useless…
Hi everyone,
I realize that Foliopress doesn’t work with IE 10 (it does in compatibility mode but not in the native mobde).
Is there any plan to fix this? IE10 is still widely used and in the corporate environment many users still have to use IE. Therefore I would appreciate if the foliopress author team could address this issue in an upcoming release.
Thanks again for making the best WYSIWYG editor out there, it beats everything else!

We the title is my question:
Where have the SMILEY’s gone in V2 ?
Thanks,
Since upgrading to v2.0.0 (with WP 3.4.2, on a Linux system), Foliovision is somehow preventing the operation of WordPress’ “Plain text editing” function.
On each post or page there’s a checkbox in the upper right of the screen to edit the page as plain text, instead of using the visual editor. This no longer works.
Neither does the checkbox to “Disable visual editor when writing” at the top of the user’s profile page.
Because the editor screws up some HTML tags in existing pages that weren’t made using the editor, this is a problem.
This doesn’t seem to work with WordPress captions.
Thank you so much for your work, Foliopress is just amazing, I will surely donate as soon as possible. Just one thing: I’d like to use Foliopress for writing and customizing the way post editing appears, but still have the classic WP images upload and management system.
I’d like to resize posted images dragging their corners, I’d like to see back those two icons (edit and delete) on the image when the cursor passes over it, I’d like to insert images or other medias by the Wp interface.
I’m sorry but I do not like Foliopress uploader UI and need to disable it. How could I? Thanks
With the upgrade of WP to 3.3, the ability to add hyperlinks to text no longer works.
Apparently, this will be fixed “by January”.
Other than the option to insert videos with a player, this plugin doesn’t have anything over the default editor that I could find.
The custom image uploader is not working. The window shows but its empty…

Excellent editor, clean and effective. I love it. I have one problem though…
When trying to insert images with the “quick insert”, or when I click on WP box “featured image”, I get this error:
Fatal error: Class ‘kfmSession’ not found in /var/www/web100/web/wp-content/plugins/foliopress-wysiwyg/fckeditor/editor/plugins/kfm/initialise.php on line 337
As a “turnaround” I enabled “Wp uploader buttons” but I would still like to be able to use the WP “featured image”.
Hope I can get help! Thanks in advance!
I am working on a site that has a few lines in the htaccess file to redirect incoming traffic with .html in the URL to the appropriate non .html page in wordpress. Having that in the htaccess file apparently causes this plugin to break because the plugin references fckeditor.html in the editor ??
I just changed the file name fckeditor.html to fckeditor.php and updated a few references to the .html to .php… but if/when this plugin ever has an update, my changes will be gone.
Is there a better way to handle this? From what I’m seeing, trying to get .htaccess to selectively ignore “fckeditor.html” in it’s redirect isn’t an easy task…?
I just installed the Foliopress editor today. In most respects I’ve found it the best editing solution out there, except for this: The cut, copy and spellcheck icons are grayed out and not enabled.
I’m using a custom button configuration, but the other icons on my custom row are working fine.

When writing a post I seen a spelling mistake and noticed there is no spelling checking tool. I can’t also access my browser spell checker meaning I have to leave what I am doing and search for the correct spelling of the word. This is a basic need of any blogger and should be somehow integrated into the plugin.
Saving changes to plugin options crashed WP database. Requires FTP access to remove plugin from site to regain http access.
Plugin deactivates WP gallery function in wysiwyg mode.
I’ve never had this problem in the past, but when adding files from the media library, foliopress seems to be using the wrong file url when inserting to post. Instead of using the full URL “…/wp-content/uploads/…” it’s adding it as “../../../../uploads/filename”. This path works from the editor, but when you publish the page, it’s not accurate.
I’ve deactivated the plugin and adding media works as it should again, but I love all the added features of foliopress and would like to use it again. Any suggestions are much appreciated. Thank you.
