]]>Hi,
Two weeks ago, when I access to album page in wp with this plugin, no works. Appear “Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/casert36/public_html/wp-content/plugins/flickr-press/flickr-admin.php+on+line+249”
Thank you.

I just recently switched to Flick press and I have noticed that with the plugin activated I get periodic Internal Server 500 errors. If I look at my server processes I see that index.php is more processes than normal. If I disable flick press then I see an instant drop in processes and do not get the 500 server errors anymore.
Has anyone else seen this problem?
]]>First, this is an awesome plugin! I’ve switched to this plugin after tantan flickr album plugin gave in and stopped working properly.
Just a couple of issues I’ve seen and hoping either the author or someone that has used this extensively can shed some light.
1) Photos that belong to a set and are marked as Private (Family and Friends viewable only) somehow fail to fetch with this plugin. Even though I’ve not set the “Hide photos marked Private” setting, the Private photos still don’t show. Others see this problem? I know its’ an issue because as soon as I switched the permissions on my ~9,000, all of the them showed up in the proper sets.
2) Titles from flickr aren’t displaying. I’m not sure if they ever were, but is there a way to show the titles and description from flickr on the pages?
3) Lightbox/Fancybox etc integration would be great. I’ve installed the Fancybox plugin but it wouldn’t work since the href links on each thumbnail goto a page and not the larger version of the image. Someone said it was easy to change, and they could provide direction that would be great!
Thanks much for the plugin and I hope you keep it running!
TIA
Mukesh
I wanted to make a few changes to the Flickr Press plugin for a couple of sites that I’m running it on, and I thought I’d post about it in case anyone else may find them useful – I’ve uploaded the zip of the modified plugin here: https://www.tallphil.co.uk/flickr-press/
I’ve posted on the author’s site about these changes, but his contact form seems to be down. As such I should warn that these changes are without his consent! ??
The changes are:
– Option to specify the size of the main photo
– Option to change how frequently the cache is updated
– Inclusion of a link around the main photo, so that clicking it advances
– A bit of Javascript to allow the user to use the cursor keys to navigate
Shout if anyone has any problems or suggestions!
Phil
]]>Hi
I can’t get the plagin to authorise Flickr.
The message I get is ‘Flickr can’t find a valid callback URL.’.
I have a valid API key setup.
Is this something to do with the fact that I’m working on a localhost (ie the site’s not online)?
btw: Other flickr plugins that require API authorisation seem to communicate fine with Flickr while developing the site on localhost.
]]>Overall a very nice plugin!
Please consider adding an option to paginate the album listing for those with a large number of photosets. Showing 10 per page, for example, would be convenient.
Another suggestion: have a widget or sidebar for including such links as monthly archives or tags.
]]>you can see the page here
I’ve entered the API, chosen the page; basically, followed the instructions. the album shows up in the plugin settings page and is not ticked as ‘hidden’.
have I missed a step though? is there something I’m supposed to drop in the page itself, or are the photos just supposed to show up there?
]]>I’m sure I’ve missed something obvious here…
I’ve installed Flickr Press, added in my API key and secret and selected a page. All good so far, the page lists out the albums and shows a thumbnail for each. However, when I click on any of the albums (to the link like /album/72157625269443405/mexico/), I get a 404 error.
I’m pretty sure this is going to be something simple, but for the life of me I can’t see what I’ve missed! Any pointers from anyone?
Thanks,
Richard
]]>When I update to 1.3 I get a fatal error along the lines of “flickr.php could not be found”. I checked and it’s definitely there, so I’m not sure what this error is, but I tried reinstalling it a few different times and always got the same error.
