Now I have added the fifth one, but even after refreshnig the page the fifth slide is not visible on the website. I checked the slug, visibility status, everything. Really glad I found this slider! I have added a line of code to flexslider-hg.php to allow full size images to be used. I resize my images before uploading so using the full size image is better quality than the WP resized version. The code below seems to work, hopefully it won’t break nothin’…
I replaced this in flexslider-hg.php
$image_sizes = get_intermediate_image_sizes();
with this
$image_sizes = get_intermediate_image_sizes();

I have set many slides with images, but now I want to update them.
The issue is, when I remove the image and try to set a new one, the plugin doesn’t work. It shows the option to set a new one, but when I click the link, appears an “empty image” as the featured one. I’ve tried to create new slides, but don’t work either.
Can anyone help me, please?

I have just upgraded WooCommerce and WordPress on my site, plus your plugin
The slide seems to have changed:
1) Left and right arrows – infact they seem to be duplicated
2) The text on the sliders now have a grey background rather than a white one.
3) buttons to move between slides appear to have changed as well.

I’m trying to set up two different flexslider layouts on the same page, using

and

What is the best way to configure the ‘sponsors’ slider so that it displays multiple slides, similar to this?
Some help would be great, and could be a great idea to develop your plugin further.

]]>Hi Hal, the plugin is great and is working well in most cases I’ve been using it. But…
When used in combination con Polylang (a multilanguage plugin), Slides doesn’t appear as translatable in Polylang settings. I’ve realized that’s because it’s defined as public => false on its registration.
Seeing how you set some other settings:
'publicly_queryable' => true,
'show_ui' => true,
'show_in_nav_menus' => false,May I suggest that you set the post type definition as:
public => true;
exclude_from_search => true;
show_in_nav_menus => false;so you can ignore ‘publicly_queryable’ and ‘show_ui’.
This will also makes Yoast SEO settings appear in each slide (which is not specially useful in many cases, but can help in others).
May be this have other side effects that I’m not consider.

However i want to implement it on another site but it not possible to add a featured image to the slide. In the theme being used all pages, post and custom posts have the featured image function.

Does anyone else’s hg slider glitches in latest Chrome? Tested in on a couple of computers- and the slide-details stay on the screen for a second or two, and most of the time you see the slide information changing, but it never fully finishes and is always just showing the same information for all the slides? Firefox, opera, safari are all ok..
Hope someone can shed a light on it?

Not sure how to describe this, but tested in Safari & Firefox and all’s fine, apart from Chrome. Basically, if there’s more text in one of the slide-data text area and it’s taller than others, the other slides will have the extra lines & text on top of them.. does that make sense? Site is under construction so can’t link it, sorry!

(simple, i think) suggestion: wrap the slider/homepage string appearing next to the “Attach to:” title inside <label> tag, so that the string itself can be clicked, as well as the checkbox.
i’m in the process of reattaching slides to another slider, and i keep clicking on the slider name instead of the checkbox, thinking it’d select it, but it doesn’t – i have to click on the checkbox…
(probably more complex) suggestion: allow slider selection on bulk edit of slides.
it’d have been easier to do them all at once…

Thanks for your great plugin.
One problem I’m having is after creating a new slide and then going back to it later and changing, for e.g. the order value, the ‘slides’ post_type changes to ‘post’.
How can I disable the excerpt on small devices like smartphones? If I view the slider on my phone, the excerpt is as high as the slider plus the menu above. If I do not display the excerpt but only the title it would be okay. But the excerpt div is the same as the title, so I can’t do this by CSS.
Could you write the excerpt in an own div container?

Just a headsup:
Got your 22/04 version and had a problem with nav button support in FF Win, where clicking the arrows had no effect.
Found it a known problem and was addressed with a new jquery.flexslider-min.js version on Git issues 958.
Manually added the new js to your plugin fodlers and things are working as expected now.
