i have e reproduceable bug with activated flexicache, in stand alone mode, with cache mode = filesystem or memchache (does not matter) on a medium traffic site. The frontend-output is garbled with binary trash such as

…one i log into admin, the bug is away (and comes back a few hours later). The login-solves-it it similar to the previously reported problem on endless loops, which are away in mode = filesystem (reproducable in mode = memcache)

Any ideas?

after Upgrade from 3.7 to 3.9, only in Stand Alone Mode, the site locks twice a day with an endless loop 302 on any page. When i log into admin, the loop ends (even after logout). Happens here and the, no stable reproducability, but the site is down at least every half day, even with no traffic.
Does not happen with other installations at same provider/webspace/config, does not happen in this installation w/o stand alone.

Any ideas? The plugin is so awesome fast, i would really like to have it working on thwt specific domain without clean reinstall.

Hello Simon,

if your Flexicache is installed, and wordpress is installed in a subdirectory of the root path (eg. https://www.server.com/blog/…), then standalone mode will not work: it expects the htaccess modifications in root (www.server.com/.htaccess). But that is an error: the root path may belong to a different installation, so the htaccess will not affect the path /blog AND will crash the root installation AND the ?insert automatically“ from flexicaches’ backend will not work..

Any updates in sight?

I know of people who decided to follow my advice and finally they no need buy a VPS for your websites, thanks to install Flexicache

I no want molest or offend, because Flexicache is the best plugin for cache today, but I like me suggest a new interfaz for Flexicache, I think should have tabs, have automatic selections based in stats visits, and have some visual information (icons, etc)

I want to suggest, because I participate in one of the most important forums of Spanish language and many users are hesitant to use because they see Flexicache complicated (ni the screnshots) or confusing and not having visual aids for these users is complicated to know what needs to change or select the best options for their websites

If deactivat flexicache the Homepage works normal.

We use WordPress: 3.3.1

No matter what storage engine I use. The error is always the same.
It appears only those characters on the homepage.
Only if I disable the plugin again
Enable caching “NO” is the Homeapge back to normal.

What should I set it FelxiCache running for me?

First of all i want to say thank you for this plugin. The concept is great and the way it works also.
However with wp 3.2.1 i randomly get while using FlexiCache, firefox saying “The browser has stopped trying to retrieve the requested item. The site is redirecting the request in a way that will never complete.” If i am looking at the activity behind with firebug or live headers plugin or in IE with the developer tools i see my index is looping into a 302 redirect. I get about 25 – 30 redirects until the browser stops and spits out the message. Initially i thought it is from my Varnish cache in front of nginx but it continues even after i left nginx to serve the pages without caching. So i disabled all the plugins and started to test them one by one until i enabled flexicache and after about 3 or 4 hours it started again. Only the index is doing this. If i try to access various pages in the site it works just fine. So now i have 3 days since i disabled flexicache and i got no error whatsoever.

Hi,
I’m testing FlexiCache on a domain mapped Multisite install, and it appears that the WP 3.0+ behavior of aliasing the real path to the uploaded files directory to a shorter, more cosmetic one is breaking the display of images in standalone mode.

For example, on my main site the path to the site logo in the uploaded files directory is:
https://www.main_domain.com/wp-content/blogs.dir/1/files/site_logo.png
and those images display properly.

On my sub-site the real path is:
https://www.mapped_domain.com/wp-content/blogs.dir/2/files/site_logo.png
but is rewritten by WordPress to appear to be:
https://www.mapped_domain.com/files/site_logo.png
and the images on those pages are broken.

I assume FlexiCache is taking the paths as delivered by WordPress and writing them into the static files. The problem is that in standalone mode, when FlexiCache serves the files WordPress is not handling the requests and rewriting the short files/ path to the real wp-content/blogs.dir/2/files/ path.

I guess the only way my configuration would work in standalone would be for FlexiCache to query WordPress for the true paths to the files and then rewrite them into the static files as they’re built.

Non-standalone works correctly, and very well, as far as I can tell.

Hi, I have been using your plugin for a little while, but it looks like something is conflicting with the WP 3.1.1. publish post function.
Randomly, I can see my text in the article disappearing from the admin post page, right after publishing. The title remains, but the content (text only – images are kept) disappears.
