The filter works well, but I wonder about the following: the order of the displayed elements is determined by the order in the grid. However, if I want a different order in the display of the filtered elements depending on certain filters, how can I achieve that? It seems that the filter always sorts based on the default order. How can I influence the order of the displayed filtered elements after a filter operation, individually for each filter?
]]>on my website, I created a blog page, using the divi blog module. the posts are automatically ordered by date (the most recent articles first). Then I added the “filter by divi” plugin, and on that blog page I created the ability to filter by category. the problem is that, when a user clicks on any category, those posts are not ordered by date any more. Even if the user clicks on the “all category”, now all the posts are shown in random order
]]>I am trying to use your plugin. I believe I have set it up properly however, when I click on one of the filter buttons all of the portfolio items do not show up that have that specific filtered class. They also don’t show up together in one row, they show where their original location on the page is. So for example say the 2,3 and 5 items have the same class, there will be an empty space in column 1 and 4 – – they don’t show up in a seamless structure. Plus, I am getting 2 errors every time I click one of the filter buttons:
Any help will be appreciated. The site is not live so how do I share it with you?
Regards,
Tiffany
]]>I would like to apply the Class IDs to filter using text instead of buttons. I have 20+ topics that need to be filtered. Is that possible and can someone tell me how? I’d just like to know before I purchase. Thank you!
]]>hello the plugin does not work on divi / wordpress last updates.
The .area-df is shown as visibility:hidden on the console.
]]>Hello, I would like to contact you because I purchased the premium version of the divi filter, I had added 2 filters using the restaurant model and everything was fine, my client wants a 3rd filter. I did it, followed the instructions in the documents and tutorials but nothing to do, the layout does not work. do you know why please?
I have yet another question, is it possible to use your filters with ACF fields? If my field is called categorie_musee what should I write for it to work with your filters please?
The information written is linked to the categories of the articles? WHAT should I change in the code to link to a category created with the ACF extension?
]]>Hi,
I would like to know if this plugin can work to filter WooCommerce products. I use Divi and the Woo Products Module where are all of them. There’re some categories and I would like to sort the products by each category. It seems like only work for the Divi Blog module but not for WooCommerce products.
Can you help me?
Thank you
]]>Hi Daniel,
great plugin so far – I installed it and followed your guide to make it work.
And:
YES – it works in the mobile view – all entries are sorted and displayed in the correct order
(eg. LVL-70 entries from every Month in correct order)
NO – it does not work in the wide pc-view – most entries are missing
(eg. LVL-70 entries: 28. Juni 2023, 30. Mai 2023, 28. September 2022…)
The Website-Customer writes in 3 of the Categories monthly Articles!!!: “Newsletter”, “Kapitalmartkausblick”, “LVL70-Article” and wants to have this kind of sorting by category – but in the correct order
How can that happen – that in the same window when resizing it and reloading it in mobile view it works and in wide view it does not work – is it a plugin conflict? Is it due to the free version? Will it work with the pro version?
Thank you for a response,
Elke
I know that the post navigation doesn’t work when filtering, but if it’s possible to do this with the load more button, will it work?
]]>hello everyone, I would like to know if this plugin can filter aspects such as price, numerical value with selection (1,2,3,4,5) and other values entered in ACF or similar operation, I would also like to know the level of customization and design that the filter has when it comes to being able to modify the appearance of the filter and its location on the web page.
Thank you all
I tried using this plugin with the Divi Blog Module and it does not appear to work?
I created the blog module filtering the posts by categories then added the blog module into columns rows and sections and tried defining the filer on the columns, row or section but it does not display the blog module at all. I do see the blog module post navigation but not the blog module itself.
Does this plugin work with all modules as advertised?
]]>I have now set this up, but the default state is to show all content. How do I get it to default to one of the 3 buttons I have on this page – https://pinsoftstudios.com/assura/about/ – under the “Assura+Protect FAQ” section? Let’s say I want to default it to “Dividend Life”.
]]>I followed the instructions in https://docs.danielvoelk.de/functional/filter-blog-posts and have downloaded from https://danielvoelk.de/en/divi-filter.
The blog module doesn’t show anything when I add class df-area and df-post. Does it required premium plugin to work or any other possible reason?
I need to create a link which will goes to a site with already active filter (not all content). Any ideas? This link will be placed on different page (but same website).
]]>If I have Divi blog pagination turned on, and I click “Older entries” at the bottom, the next page of blog posts are displayed all stacked on top of each other. Pagination/post display works without the filter plugin activated. Any idea what’s happing? Thanks.
I’m using Filter for Divi v2.0.1, Divi v4.19.1 and WordPress v6.1.1
]]>Hi – is there a way to display a friendly message to the user when their filter selections result in no items to be displayed. Such as “Sorry, no results match your selection. Please broaden your search.”
This is most common when using the “picky” option when 2 or more categories can be selected.
Currently when no items (rows) match the selection the user sees a strange blank page.
Thanks
]]>Is there any limit (or reduced performance such as slow loading) to the number of items that can be filtered on one page?
For example, if I need to filter 200 rows?
Also, can a row be assigned 2 different categories, so it shows up in 2 different filters, for example Cats AND Dogs, but not Lions?
Thanks
]]>Hi,
I have strictly followed your tutorial (https://docs.danielvoelk.de/functional/filter-blog-posts) but can’t make Divi filter plugin to filter my blog module.
Any idea of what’s going on ?
Cheers.
]]>Hi – the plugin page on Elegant themes says it can be used to filter products:
“filter for shop modules (WooCommerce).”
However, I don’t see any information or instructions regarding products in the documentation.
Am I missing something?
]]>Hello,
I have complexe rows containing 6 columns. When I apply a row filter it breaks the alignement of the columns creating a messy visual.
Is there a way to filter without breaking the visual?
Hi! Apparenty this will not update column links / move the actual columns – it moves only the content inside of them.
So if I want each of my sortable column to function as a link, filtering the columns will mess up the links. Any simple way to overcome this?
Hi,
Can this plugin be extended by filtering by rows within a single section?
Each row would have its own CSS ID.
For example, having four DP Carousels in rows in the same section, we want to hide 3 of them and only show the remaining.
Thanks,
E
Hi is it possible as I have created my own grid inside one column full width row and want to filter by text module. Each module has a shortcode inside.
Thanks.
